    Man. You are the man. I must of done this at least three times. Couldn’t get it. But the last time I did it, I was rocking. Thankyou. I’m green at this, this being my first bit map tracing and smoothing. I really appreciate it

    I'm gonna have to follow along on these I think...and just reset my brain on the matter.

    Thanks for another great tutorial. I have spent a lot of time editing nodes but have not really used the smooth point option. Very useful and time saving.

    Another excellent set of tips. Not too fast or too slow. Do you have a video on "tiling toolpaths" to cut a project larger than the CNC bed? Would be helpful for those who are wanting to scale up their projects!

      Thank you, Peter. I don't have a video on tiling toolpaths yet, but I do have it on the list of videos to shoot. I can't tell you when that'll be, because I don't know yet either. Hopefully it'll be fairly soon.

    Understand you keep the sharp corners during editing so the picture looks the way you want it to. Smooth the facets but keep some of the sharp corners. My question is, won’t the sharp corners get slightly rounded anyway when you carve it?

    • @MarkLindsayCNC
      @MarkLindsayCNC  2 роки тому

      Good question! The answer is no, because I'll be using a V-Carve toolpath to do the carving. I'll talk about it a little during today's Live Q&A, but I'll go into it further in the next installment of this series, when we toolpath the drawing.

    wow, learned alot, but one question, when you deleted the original crossbones, is it possible to add text ?

    Good job explaining why S is superior to curve fitting for certain operations. But while editing the eye, you could have curve fit and either unchecked "Keep Sharp Corners" or changed the max angle to get what you want yes?

    • @MarkLindsayCNC
      @MarkLindsayCNC  2 роки тому +1

      Yes I could have. I probably should have for this demonstration. The only reason I didn't was because I later wanted to split that shadow under his eye from the eye's outline, and I thought it would complicate things. Turns out it didn't (and wouldn't have,) but I didn't know that at the time. That's just another example of why I keep saying that the learning never stops. Nobody can know what will happen or what is needed 100% of the time - well, nobody that you'd want to talk to, anyway... :D

      @@MarkLindsayCNC I don't care who you are: that's funny! And yes, just when you think you have it all figured out, those folks at Vectric have another "magic" button or shortcut to make your life easier. (Then it's your job to explain it )

      No sir - I do this for fun. If it becomes a job, I won't want to do it anymore. See ya Sunday - LIVE!
