Elden Ring is my first souls-like. I solo'ed my way all the way through base game... until I took on Malenia. I sunk hours of my time into trying to solo her, getting her all the way down to 1/4 health on her second form, over and over, but always failing to close the deal. After repeating this cycle after work for 3 days and feeling disappointed in myself, I started to feel empty and frustrated - I wanted to do something else, fight someone else, and be done with this. All I really wanted at that point was her weapon - after struggling this much, bragging rights were out the window. Then, I started to think "what am I trying to prove, and to whom?" When I do eventually kill her (and I surely will if I sink in enough time)... so what? A ton of other people did too, and many of them did it faster, without getting hit, at level 10, no buffs, and a wooden club and I damn sure ain't trying to do that, so who am I fooling? After that, my policy became - solo until it stops being fun, then break out the Mimic when it stops being fun and you just want to get past it. Why? Because NO ONE CARES either way and these are hours of your time you can never get back.
your last sentence hits hard bro. Time you never get back.. and who really cares. end of the day its just a game and games are meant to be fun. deep but so true lol 👍🏼 As someone who uploads youtube vids, I sometimes spend a good amount of time to get a solo no damage fight, upload it, and hardly gets many views 💀
Elden ring players when legendary armaments work as legendary armaments: Sorry, Moonlight sword should do like 3 damage. And mimic tear should have 1 hp.
First few play throughs i used sunmons, then i done a "get good" run and beat evey boss with uchi and no armour, but i mean honestly who cares? We play games for fun, how can you tell someone they are having fun the wrong way
i havent played elden ring but im more of a coop guy because i play these games with a friend of mine so we coop every single levels but i can still speedrun through all these games its just that im a coop kind of player, also from what ive seen elden ring bosses absolutely deserve to be ganked by the less skilled players not everybody is a juicybossfights or ongbal, i have nothing against people summoning
Coop is fun. nothing wrong with it. nothing wrong with summoning either. I say play how you want, its part of the game and games are meant to be fun.. and that's coming from me who tries to solo no damage all the time. I just like a challenge, but i wont tell other people not to summon.
@@juicybossfights same, i like a challenge as long as its fair thats why sekiro is my favorite (exept the ogre grab wich i find kind of bs so even though i can beat him i always cheese him out of pettiness) but the most fun i have in the souls games is when i coop with my friend
What's your style.. Solo or Summons? 👇 (Malenia Solo vid No hit: ua-cam.com/video/ysmm-vVll5g/v-deo.html)
Solo, unless there are multiple bosses. I'll summon when i need a distraction to get past enemies as well
understandable.. 2 vs 1 isn't exactly a fair fight.

Exactly. play how you wana play. Game are meant to be fun.. you are spot on! but nice for doing a run both ways
Now the mighty "right way" to play the game got even harder so people hate this even more I guess
Haha i know right. If anyone says 'try solo consort radahn' 🤬
@@juicybossfights I'll say try to do it without buffs and shield

Co op only makes enemies deal more damage and have a larger health pool as a way to balance out having more players
