Guzzi dealers are few and far as I think it's always been.
@AliasMrHackenbacker what a brilliant comparison you made citing the old air cooled BMW and this Guzzi. Having owned an ‘84 R80RT I could immediately recognize what riding that Guzzi would feel like. Loved that old Beemer.

That's a strange one Dave, we have had a really warm winter, but Spring here in Spain has been cooler than normal, still hot but not normal. We now are getting towards the start of Summer 21st of June, and it's in the low 30s for the last few years we have been in the high 30s. Apparently the boffins that pull the strings are saying we are entering a 'la niña' from a 'el niño' which means the Pacific is cooling, bringing a shed load of bad weather. That said the UK weather is run by Camalot, no chance of winning, the same as the lottery, but they keep telling you that, you will win 😅
Remember when we were told that rain is the best police officer .....working a late or night shift on a hot sunny weekend ...you knew what was coming. Happy days
In 1995 I was commuting 70 miles a day on my 1980 Kawasaki Z650. Great weather and I definitely didn't have to have my heating on, like I did this spring?!
Hi Dave 👋. Great vlog thank you. My current & only bike for the last 5 & a bit years is a Gen2 ZZR1400. Two weeks ago l test rode the Shotgun (Appleyards) & the V7 (Teasdales) The Shotgun really impressed me for all sorts of reasons but, the V7?..... smitten! Absolutely fell in love. Sorely tempted to trade. Take care & ride safe. Regards, Mo 😊👍.
Hi Mo both would have been good options but I would have gone V7 too….not sure how far away Teasdale is for you but Iron City in Leeds are Guzzi main dealers too
@thebingleywheeler Yeah l tried them & All Bikes at Rochdale but neither had a demo available 🤷♂️. Teasdales is at Thirsk so it gave me a nice ride out & back at least. 😊👍
Just seeing the comments about leaving indicator on, I always seem to do the same on my V7 850, might have to fit a beeper, but I do really like my V7, have owned for just over a year & 6000 miles covered, original dunlops just replaced in favour of Michelin road classics, I have ridden quite a few different bikes, a lot of Hondas which were reliable but just felt the last one did everything well but was dull, the Moto guzzi is never dull, always have a chat with someone even when getting fuel, lots of talk online about buying Moto guzzi etc but the V7 is cracking value new & I would recommend although it takes a little time to get used to it is so worth it Just the engine sound is is a good start, & I can go on a ride somewhere, maybe park up with some other bikes without mine looking the same,
@@thebingleywheeler The dunlops were ok until they started wearing patchy which could create a wobble & weave, the Michelins look to have a better style of tread and they really suit the look of the bike, very happy with how the bike feels on them
Congratulations on the 10k. Interesting about your vibration issues. I have a V85tt and although I get vibration at tickover, it's barely noticeable once above a couple of thousand revs. Perhaps it's all the extra hp you get on yours with the fancy exhausts 😂
Thanks Dave. A wake up call on a beautifull bike. Sick of all the lies. Up to 2030 agenda. Hope i can ride today to get my smile back on my little enfield. Stay save.
The biggest surprise for me with the Grip Puppies is the grip they offer to the hands acts like a throttle lock. I wear suede type leather gloves and when travelling along I only need to rest the palm of my hand on the bars on my Super Tenere and the throttle totally stays in place, so my fingers get a rest most of the time
Hi bingley wheeler, well done on getting to 10000subs . I never trust the weather because I have worked out side for 36 years in ground maintenance and all ways would wait and see whot weather would be each day because the weather forecasters wood not get it right a lot of the time so I would not trust them and as Stuart said they try to make you think they were all ways right when they were not and idont trust or like the BBC because try to force us to take there word for it and think were stupid when the weather was not how they said it was
There are a large number of people who entirely agree with what you said about pronouncements and Diktats from 'above', myself included. Using this platform on You Tube to say it is a great way of encouraging others to think more for themselves. Thank You.
Hi Dave. Congrats on subs. I agree with your rants but I didn’t need to listen to them again and again and again. If you don’t like the weather, wait ten minutes. (Yachtsman’s mantra).
Nice and enjoyable video - thanks. I am of 1962 vintage so the same age as you and fully concur that 1976 was a hot summer but it only started end May then seemed to last forever! What has changed enormously since then is the growth of sensationalism and also how statistics is used to support this. I suspect the story is based on facts that are manipulated to support said story (just look at the statistical garbage coming from all political parties for the upcoming election - it all gets knocked down the next day). I always fall back on Mark Twain: "There are 3 kinds of lies - lies, damn lies and statistics" and "Get your facts first, then you can distort them as much as you please" !!!!!!!
Dave Love the V7 but i have the same concerns with the Guzzi as i do the CF Moto MT800 Tourer ( and i like both) in that the dealer network for these bikes seems pretty sparse..which gets me thinking how it would affect aftersales/ parts availability etc.. Dont fancy having to go to the far aide of the County or even into another one for servicing or in the event of other issues.. Im hoping you can tell me differently, but thats the impression I'm getting .. Another good vid though... Here's to your 100,000 milestone... 😉👍
Thank you John CF Moto are supported by all KTM and all Moto GB dealerships…..which is a lot….Moto Guzzi dealerships in most areas….here there’s Leeds for example
Dave That's good to hear, however Moto GB here in Preston don't routinely stock Guzzis or CF Motos, in fact Appleyards in Keighley up your way are the only Moto GB dealership that have CF Moto in their new bike drop down list and even they don't seem to have Moto Guzzi in that list... Can you still order the specific CF Moto or Guzzi through them regardless?. TIA.. 😉
Moto GB don’t do new Guzzis anywhere….Iron City in Leeds or Teasdale in Yorkshire…..CF Moto 800 MTs are currently only to order (other than a few old stock) such is the huge demand in Europe
Hello BW I believe you have mounted the Mistral exhausts. I love the vibrations of the MG but I have upgraded to a performance filter and stack and Mistral, and I am experiencing more vibrations, especially at low RPM on higher gear, nothing of this before.. is that a thing you feel? Not sure how to fix this, they told that the ECU would sort of recalculate over time but not sure really Thank you and good rides
I did a fair few miles on my moto guzzi California never had an issue with vibration at all, maybe worth having a ride on another one for a comparison or is it just the v7 for some reason?
To add to your thoughts ! I too held rank in a similar 'public institution' like yourself, and you know there were times that 'instructions' came from 'above, that what you were dealing 'with at work, had not to be told to the press or public ! Now if you and me, as very small grains of sand in this life, were experiencing this, many thousands of others were too ! So when it comes to the even bigger, broader, political subjects, the public will be told what the establishment wants them to hear, not what is factual ! I am far from a conspiracy theorist, but now with age and experience, I'm very cynical about what ever is put put for 'public' consumption !
Talking about the Plastic Maggot - Honda did a turbo version back in the 1980’s. Never fancied turbo bikes because of the throttle lag. Anyone ever ride a turbo?
@@thebingleywheeler move it then or make sure it’s off, simple.just saying a car could have pulled out a few times on that trip . And I wouldn’t want that . Keep up the great content.

Oh yes I remember the summer of 1976 the year I purchased my brand new Suzuki GT185 in blue I was 18 years and remember thinking this is my first proper motorcycle after my moped era had ended. Now I live in Australia I never complain about the weather if I did my work mates would say I was a winging Pom.never complain about anything only your health is important. I didn’t know you had the Moto Guzzi, I noticed a model year 2022 advertised as a 2023 by a dealer here in my location and it cost $19.890 Australia Dollars drive away with current exchange rate that would be £10.370 English Pounds drive away how does that compare with the current price in the uk ? Are they misleading the price of products ? As well as lying about the weather ?
Not a one to feel the cold but my gas fire went on last night.....thankfully we are all getting a bit more distrustful of powers that be....common sense making a return ???🤔
Hi Dave, I live in Pennsylvania, USA, so I didn't experience the UK spring, but I'm guessing that "hottest" is not the correct word for the weather. If it rained frequently, then there must have been plenty of cloud cover, which raises the average temperature vs. a spring when there is little cloud cover and the temperature drops sharply overnight. And perhaps the slightly warmer than average temperatures contributed to the continuing clouds and precipitation. I can easily imagine the Powers That Be exploiting the average temperature to advance an agenda, but it may well have been true that it was the warmest (not hottest) spring on record. I only advocate critical thinking rather than a political stance (such stances seem to be ruining the globe), and I offer this as a possible explanation of why the empirical data may be correct, even if it was presented in a political way. Also, you gotta put that Guzzi away; just a couple more videos and I'm going to have to buy one. Do it for me, and my bank account, and my marriage, Dave! Thank you for the video!
Thank you and yes thanks for taking the time to respond to my request for clarification on the claim….you’re the only one to make the effort and I do get the logic….it was bloody cold though 🥶 I love that Guzzi!!
You tube seriously need to sort out that subscription button. I have just watched this video gone into your channel page and for the second time in a week I have been unsubscribed. Bloody ridiculous!!😡
Much respect to you Dave, but your local Yorkshire weather this spring/summer is no reflection of the bigger climate picture. Kudos for reaching 10K subs! Keep it coming and grow the tribe. 👍
Due to the fact that most of our MP s may not be the correct and upright people that we expect them to be . That a lot of public money has been invested in EV development, a battle which is now being lost, means that more misinformation is required to support net zero. The more outlandish these claims become the less they will be taken seriously and they think were stupid.
I definitely don't agree wit a lot of what SF says but this is something that everyone I know is saying. I have yet to meet anyone who believes it. We can only hope that they have actually over played their hand finally and the illusion bubble has been burst.

There is something very characterful and entertaining about riding a Moto Guzzi that reminds me of my old air-cooled BMW boxers. Never owned a plastic maggot but did have a few boxers. Guzzi dealers are few and far as I think it's always been.
Cheers buddy yes it’s been Baltic 🥶
@AliasMrHackenbacker what a brilliant comparison you made citing the old air cooled BMW and this Guzzi. Having owned an ‘84 R80RT I could immediately recognize what riding that Guzzi would feel like. Loved that old Beemer.
Why is the word "dampening " used by so many people? I blame the Americans. It's "damping" ,"dampening"means to wet something ! Oh Yes! Congratulations on reaching 10,000 subscriptions
We are nothing but Mushrooms "Kept in the Dark, and fed on Sh*t"......I remember 1976....my second child was born in July....my poor Wife suffered in the Heat.....and then we had a plague of Ladybirds !
Congrats Dave
Happy days
That left hand indicator light was a bit distracting.
In 1995 I was commuting 70 miles a day on my 1980 Kawasaki Z650. Great weather and I definitely didn't have to have my heating on, like I did this spring?!
I agree about the weather, last week I rode through a hailstone shower.
BYW, love the cliche, but I, for one, am neither great, nor unwashed! Seriously, though, this was one of your best rants. Keep them coming!
Congrats 🎉🍾 10000
Congratulations on 10k subs good to see your fragile English countryside coped with your extremely hot spring
@momarsden3053 Leeds have a demo now 👍🏻
@@thebingleywheeler 😊👍
Just seeing the comments about leaving indicator on, I always seem to do the same on my V7 850, might have to fit a beeper, but I do really like my V7, have owned for just over a year & 6000 miles covered, original dunlops just replaced in favour of Michelin road classics, I have ridden quite a few different bikes, a lot of Hondas which were reliable but
just felt the last one did
everything well but was dull, the
Moto guzzi is never dull, always have a chat with someone even when getting fuel, lots of talk online about buying Moto guzzi etc but the V7 is cracking value new & I would recommend although it takes a little time to get used to it is so worth it
Just the engine sound is is a good start, & I can
go on a ride somewhere, maybe
park up with some other bikes
without mine looking the same,
How are you finding the Michelin tyres compared with Dunlop?
@@thebingleywheeler
The dunlops were ok until they started wearing patchy which could create a wobble & weave, the Michelins look to have a better style of tread and they really suit the look of the bike, very happy with how the bike feels on them
Well done old chap.
Another great video sir,you were talking there about strangers to the truth just look at the world of modern politics now need I say more.
10k subs, well done.
10k flashes of your indicator,
Congratulations on the 10k. Interesting about your vibration issues. I have a V85tt and although I get vibration at tickover, it's barely noticeable once above a couple of thousand revs. Perhaps it's all the extra hp you get on yours with the fancy exhausts 😂
10k that's more than Bristol Rovers home attendance!😮well done .Richard
Certainly is! As a City season ticket holder, that's appreciated.
@@PDCRedThat's why I motorbike to offset the constant disappointment of being a season ticket Gashead😅 Honda 500 CBX 2017

Thanks Dave. A wake up call on a beautifull bike. Sick of all the lies. Up to 2030 agenda. Hope i can ride today to get my smile back on my little enfield. Stay save.
Everyone who had a CX 500 love 💕 it. I had mine for 10 years and 250,000 miles on her. Cam chain broke and totally destroyed the engine 😢.
That’s good miles!
The biggest surprise for me with the Grip Puppies is the grip they offer to the hands acts like a throttle lock. I wear suede type leather gloves and when travelling along I only need to rest the palm of my hand on the bars on my Super Tenere and the throttle totally stays in place, so my fingers get a rest most of the time
When out with buddies, we are all too often calling turn signal over coms :)
Congrats on 10k 🎉
Cheers Matt much appreciated
Turn that bloody indicator off!!!!
Agreed, recipe for disaster.
Didn’t you see the on screen apology???
@@thebingleywheelerI apologise, my eyes were totally drawn to that flashing green light.
@@thebingleywheeler it's not as if I haven't done the same.....
@johnstonstewart9683 no worries 😎👍🏻
“Those that control the weather will control the world.” Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson 1962.
Thank You.
Had the heating on in sunny Blackburn, piggin freezin
If nothing cracks or falls off your motorcycle doesn't vibrate.
rite on
Hi Dave. Congrats on subs. I agree with your rants but I didn’t need to listen to them again and again and again. If you don’t like the weather, wait ten minutes. (Yachtsman’s mantra).
Thank you….except we’ve been waiting 10 months 😂
😊😊😊Amen sir…back of the net
Come on people hit the like button 🔘 it doesn't hurt 🤕 and it will help the channel!
Last year I was sweating like crazy, my V85TtT kept overheating. This year, it has not been as hot.
Which panniers did you to fit? Mind you they still look a close fit and probably cook the contents!
Dave
Love the V7 but i have the same concerns with the Guzzi as i do the CF Moto MT800 Tourer ( and i like both) in that the dealer network for these bikes seems pretty sparse..which gets me thinking how it would affect aftersales/ parts availability etc..
Dave
That's good to hear, however Moto GB here in Preston don't routinely stock Guzzis or CF Motos, in fact Appleyards in Keighley up your way are the only Moto GB dealership that have CF Moto in their new bike drop down list and even they don't seem to have Moto Guzzi in that list...
Thanks for all that Dave, really appreciated.👍
Do you know if I could compress a versy 1000 shock spring with the car spring compressors on eBay. Got to change o ring on preload.
Not sure how to fix this, they told that the ECU would sort of recalculate over time but not sure really
Thank you and good rides
Hi no they are the Arrow exhausts which come with the Stone Special Edition
What about the Zundapp?? That was a shaft drive.
I did a fair few miles on my moto guzzi California never had an issue with vibration at all, maybe worth having a ride on another one for a comparison or is it just the v7 for some reason?
Don't new MG 's have hydraulic valve adjustment?
To add to your thoughts ! I too held rank in a similar 'public institution' like yourself, and you know there were times that 'instructions' came from 'above, that what you were dealing 'with at work, had not to be told to the press or public ! Now if you and me, as very small grains of sand in this life, were experiencing this, many thousands of others were too ! So when it comes to the even bigger, broader, political subjects, the public will be told what the establishment wants them to hear, not what is factual ! I am far from a conspiracy theorist, but now with age and experience, I'm very cynical about what ever is put put for 'public' consumption !
Wise words Clive 👍🏻
Talking about the Plastic Maggot - Honda did a turbo version back in the 1980’s. Never fancied turbo bikes because of the throttle lag. Anyone ever ride a turbo?
A pal of mine has a restored mint CX 500 Turbo
Maybe you could do a video on it.
Look down at your clocks at bit more, indicator left on for ages.could be nasty.
Blocked by camera bracket nothing to do with not looking down
@@thebingleywheeler move it then or make sure it’s off, simple.just saying a car could have pulled out a few times on that trip . And I wouldn’t want that . Keep up the great content.
Not sure how a car could pull out on a stretch of road with hardly a junction in sight….and no motorcyclist on the planet can claim never to have done the same thing from time to time
Look back on the video, you’ll see that you had it on for a very long time. You had it on longer I bet before the edit. And when you went passed junctions with cars waiting . Just saying, I know we’ve all done it, I know you’re making a video, but keep on checking. I know I have to .
@andrewwhite271 are you sure you watched the whole video….I include an on screen acknowledgment just after the left turn at Kex Gill is made…..there is no editing prior to that
6:56. There is at least one other bike in history with the same configuration; the Indian 841 produced between 1941 and 1943.
Indian dealerships wanted a civilian version of the 841 but management didn't listen to them.😢

Hi Malcolm that’s a good £2000 GBP more than here……£8000 GBP give or take here
Not a one to feel the cold but my gas fire went on last night.....thankfully we are all getting a bit more distrustful of powers that be....common sense making a return ???🤔
I’m thinking of getting one after selling my 1200 sportster because all my fillings fell out 😎👍
Hi Dave, I live in Pennsylvania, USA, so I didn't experience the UK spring, but I'm guessing that "hottest" is not the correct word for the weather.
Towards the end of the video....again with the turn signal🤪
You tube seriously need to sort out that subscription button. I have just watched this video gone into your channel page and for the second time in a week I have been unsubscribed. Bloody ridiculous!!😡
If you're watching the b bc then you're living in an Orwellian dystopia!
Much respect to you Dave, but your local Yorkshire weather this spring/summer is no reflection of the bigger climate picture. Kudos for reaching 10K subs! Keep it coming and grow the tribe. 👍
Bollock numbing freezing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Due to the fact that most of our MP s may not be the correct and upright people that we expect them to be . That a lot of public money has been invested in EV development, a battle which is now being lost, means that more misinformation is required to support net zero. The more outlandish these claims become the less they will be taken seriously and they think were stupid.
I definitely don't agree wit a lot of what SF says but this is something that everyone I know is saying. I have yet to meet anyone who believes it. We can only hope that they have actually over played their hand finally and the illusion bubble has been burst.
