I have both though not equipped with the same scope. Oddly enough my Marauder pistol is all stock still???? while my Notos has a custom bottle on it now. I love all my Crosman/Benjamin stuff and have a couple of custom builds that are fantastic, however, stock Marauder pistol vs stock Notos, the Notos wins hands down. First, neither one is an extreme benchrest contender. More of a great 30 or 40 yard pesting/small game rig. With very similar accuracy and power it's my humble opinion there isn't enough difference to say one is hands down better than the other in that area. The Notos will indeed get 20 shots on the reg but doesn't seem to have as good a barrel as my Marauder pistol. The Marauder pistol I have will shoot really good for 10 or 15 shots and then needs a fill before poi starts to move. The fact that the Notos has a regulator, and I don't know of anyone reporting reg creep or total reg failure is great. It also has a side lever, which isn't as important to me as some others. The fact that the Notos comes with a fairly comfortable adjustable stock and the Marauder pistol has to be purchased as a kit or ordered separately, and costs more is another strike. Then there's the cost, most Marauder pistols I've seen lately are north of $450 without the stock which I believe are around $40, it's not adjustable or all that comfortable, to me anyway. The Notos, for the time being is still around $270. That's a lot of features for that price no matter what brand. There's also a custom Carm magazine for it, a couple of custom bottle options so it has enough interest that the aftermarket world is already on it. So I would definitely get a Notos over the Marauder pistol, probably going to get a lotta hate from the Marauder fans😬

@@theobserver9565 the trigger screw will not do anything for fps. Turning the regulator screw out a little more with the hammer spring backed out all the way will increase the fps to a point then start to decrease the fps. At this point you can turn the hammer spring in all the way to increase the fps. This will give you the most adjustment up AND down for tuning light and heavy pellets without modifying the airgun
You might be able ballpark the PSI on that reg. Chrono it and see when it starts dropping fps, then look at the bottle pressure gauge? No idea if that would be accurate lol. Just a thought. On mine, the regulator was to low to get any adjustment out of the hammer spring. I know, it sounds funny but it needs to be turned up with the hammer spring backed off all the way. When it hits the right pressure it will slow down. If you adjust it only turn it counterclockwise a little bit at a time and test it.
@hermes2019 if you really want the freedom and portability of a pumper then yes. It would be a very easy and inexpensive build. Big jump in power just putting a longer barrel on it. I believe you can get a drop in barrel on Ebay. Putting a shoulder stock on it is also really easy. You can get the Crosman stock but for me the length of pull is a little long. There's also some vendors selling a folding stock adapter that takes an AR style buffer tube and you can put whatever style AR stock you like on it. A little more expensive though. I made my own adapter to fit a Marauder pistol and got the cheapest buffer tube and stock I could find and it worked out great. @@slicktmi a half turn is a lot. If you dont have a chronograph try this. Fill the gun, shoot it at a target at 45 ish yards. Keep the same aim on the target and shoot it until the poi starts to drop. Check the pressure gauge and see what it says. Repeat and confirm the pressure at which it drops. This is roughly the regulator setting. Most are reporting 1900 psi. If you got the plenum kit from Ebay I think they come with a hammer spring spacer. Install that, turn the adjuster in as far as it will go and still cock. Then turn the reg up about a quarter turn. Repeat the shot string and see what pressure the poi drops again. Confirm it again and decide if you want to go more. You might be able to get some chronograph help from a local paintball or archery shop. You might have to bring your own backstop. I was able to get 23 fpe with approximately 2300 psi on the reg, a spacer on the hammer spring and JSB 18.13 pellets. That's plenty for pigeons and doves. The plenum kits should give you a little back on the shot count and a few fps.
Not to adjust it. If your going to start disassembling parts of the trigger/receiver your not familiar with then I would degas just for safety. @@johnnybbgunner2136 Future video? Are you planning to adjust the reg or switch up pellets?
@@toxicmatrix1337
Sorry for the confusion. I am switching up different pellets. I am not very knowledgeable on this rifle for tear downs.
Marauder pistol or notos? Which do you prefer? My prod is accurate ans quiet with a sumo.
Mine is shooting 15.9 grain pellets at 720 fps. Just over 18 fb of energy. If I go to the trouble of fine tuning it and gaining FPE will the gun get louder when fired?
Mine was, just a little though. Not like it doubled in noise though.
@@kidpellet6544 I'm a nube but I turned the regulator screw counter clockwise about the same as you did and left the trigger spring screw the same. Gained some fps. So is the next procedure to adjust the trigger screw clockwise to see if It will increase the fps?
@@theobserver9565 the trigger screw will not do anything for fps.
Turning the regulator screw out a little more with the hammer spring backed out all the way will increase the fps to a point then start to decrease the fps. At this point you can turn the hammer spring in all the way to increase the fps.
This will give you the most adjustment up AND down for tuning light and heavy pellets without modifying the airgun
@@kidpellet6544 you mean just hammer spring adjustment is the best result while keeping factory regulator setting?
You might be able ballpark the PSI on that reg. Chrono it and see when it starts dropping fps, then look at the bottle pressure gauge? No idea if that would be accurate lol. Just a thought. I know I have bottle gauges that are probably 200psi off for my PCP. I have one bottle gauge on my paintball tank, off by 500psi. Or maybe that one is correct and the 20 others I have are all wrong. hahaha
That's the way to do it unless you have an apparatus to check the output before you re assemble it.
@@kidpellet6544 I actually have a couple of those for paintball. I use them for the low pressure gauges, not many have that tool as options, but one of mine actually came with it. Manuals sometimes give ball parks on what psi you should be at with x amount of wrench turns, from x amount of resistence felt.

If you want more shots you need to turn the screw in or out?
In, doesn't take much. I would only go about 1/8 tun clockwise, try it and adjust from there.
If you mark its position you can always put it back to factory.
Hello sir I went to adjust my reg today and when I unscrewed the silver part the regulator stayed in the tube do you by chance know how I might get it out thanks sir.

@@kidpellet6544 appreciate it:)
Is it possible to adjust the regulator the other way, to reduce the power a little? 15-17 fpe would be just right for me.
Is that a modified Crosman 1322 on your table?
@@hermes2019 I don't think I've done a 1322 but it may be a 1720T or a Benjamin Maximus I made into a pistol for Pistol FT
@kidpellet6544 I have a 1322 that I was thinking of upgrading to a carbine and some power enhancements. Wondering if it is worth it...
Like the Crosman 2240 there is about no end to the mods you can buy or make

@@kidpellet6544 is there a way for me to PM you. I have a couple other questions.
What's the most fps you can squeeze out of this with say a 15g pellet
I think around 825 fps with a 14.3. I don't have anything exactly 15 grain so I went from 14.3 to 16 grain. Highest I got was around 24 for with 18 grain JSB with the regulator at around 2300 psi
@kidpellet6544 awesome I'm considering getting one but wasn't sure if the 700fps was gonna be enough got some prairie dogs about 50 yards hopefully it will be enough punch. Thanks for taking the time to reply!
@@slicktmi Umarex is still advertising it at 12 fpe but everyone is getting around 18 fps out of the box
@@kidpellet6544i tested it out stock just doesn't have enough i shot a few doves at 20 yrds and they just flew away im not sure if it came incorrectly adjusted i don't have a chrony to test it this was using the crossman 14.8g i believe. i might adjust it and put my plenum kit on what would you recommend? A half turn on the reg and max out the hammer spring?
I have something to ask my Notos came out of box with a 10 lb trigger pull ! Do you really have to degas the gun just to adjust the trigger ??
Not to adjust it. If your going to start disassembling parts of the trigger/receiver your not familiar with then I would degas just for safety.
Generally though just turning the screw located in the trigger itself clockwise will take up all the slack.
Take up to much slack and it will become a hair trigger. Back off just a little and it will be pretty good.
I put a little thread lock on mine so it stays put.
@@kidpellet6544
🤔 it says in the owner's manual. On pages 8 & 9 that you have to de-gas the gun before you even start to adjust the trigger pull !
@@mary0224 that's Umarex being ultra careful with the liability. If the gun is unloaded and un cocked its pretty safe to work on any part that doesn't hold air pressure.

@@kidpellet6544 Nice! A scope that costs many times more than the gun....sounds about right. LOL! Seriously though, is this one of the scopes that calculates trajectory of the pellet and compensates accordingly? (IN addition to the night function.) Thanks.
@@2musiclover534 the ATN scopes both thermal and day/night don't actually do the calculating. There is a rangefinder add on and then ballistics app that works with bluetooth to change the reticle for that particular distance.
I do not personally have all that setup. It also doesn't work with the Thor LT I have as it is the cheapest model they have.
I just sort of deal with the range by keeping it in my zero lol.
It's very interesting to zero a thermal lol. It sees nothing but heat differences. A piece of aluminum foil rolled up in your hands stuck in cardboard with a hole in it works for a target.
Aluminum foil taped to cardboard with a cross made of black electric tape works.
Anything but the $30 dollar ATN target lol.
This one was just under a grand when I got it but now it's closer to $700.
The hot setup is the day/night vision with a handheld thermal.
The handheld thermal let's you scan the area/trees day or night for heat signatures that would be hard to see among vegetation then you can use the day/night vision to see if there are any obstructions like branches. The thermal doesn't do such a good job of showing branches and such.
