Umarex Origin vs sugar cube @ 125 yards

Sugar cube off a yellow balloon at 125 yards. It's a challenge for Flat Broke Airgunner FB group. custom bottled, regulated Umarex Origin in 25 caliber shooting ZAN 30 grain slugs. Shoots them pretty well but I think it shoots the 33 grain ZAN slugs a little better. Going to try those at 150 yards or so next

This is my personal airgun shop/collection. everytime I post pictures of a specific airgun I get a few questions about all the airguns in the background. so I thought I would take a few minutes and show you all around a little. Sorry but none of them are for sale, just a modest collection of airguns that I've picked up over a few years.

Just a short video of my new AEA. I saw a video that showed that a popular bipod doesn't fit the rail under the forend but they do make one that clamps to the airtube. what I found and is a really nice surprise that I haven't seen mentioned in any videos is the tensioned barrel! That's huge for me as it uses the shroud to strengthen the barrel instead of the dreaded printed bands, if you cant t...

Thats a pretty sweet little lathe. What kind is it? I have to change my gears manually, and that can be a pain in the a$$
Awesome video - do they make a short length bottle thats a bit larger in diameter than the 220cc bottle in 5/8 thread (like perhaps a 300cc thats shorter in length but bigger in diameter) ?
@@SC-td1tg I've not seen one but I know they use them on some of the short bullpup like the RAW Micro Hunter and I think on one of the FX's
@@kidpellet6544 cool I'll keep looking was just looking for an ultra compact. Folding stock + removable moderator, so that the whole thing can fit in a small day pack then be reassembled in the field. .and a short but fatter bottle would be ideal for that...
Thank you so much for your time please keep making video i really appreciate it so much 😊
Would there actually be any discernible improvement putting a plenum between the regulator and the block?
@@ThePadutch I think a few guys are getting more power with some tuning but when they were first being used I don't think anyone got any more power. Just a few more shots per fill
thank you
Is that a modified Crosman 1322 on your table?
@@hermes2019 I don't think I've done a 1322 but it may be a 1720T or a Benjamin Maximus I made into a pistol for Pistol FT
@kidpellet6544 I have a 1322 that I was thinking of upgrading to a carbine and some power enhancements. Wondering if it is worth it...
@hermes2019 if you really want the freedom and portability of a pumper then yes. It would be a very easy and inexpensive build. Big jump in power just putting a longer barrel on it. I believe you can get a drop in barrel on Ebay. Putting a shoulder stock on it is also really easy. You can get the Crosman stock but for me the length of pull is a little long. There's also some vendors selling a folding stock adapter that takes an AR style buffer tube and you can put whatever style AR stock you like on it. A little more expensive though. I made my own adapter to fit a Marauder pistol and got the cheapest buffer tube and stock I could find and it worked out great. Like the Crosman 2240 there is about no end to the mods you can buy or make
@@kidpellet6544 hmmm... Is there a way to PM you on this topic?
@@kidpellet6544 is there a way for me to PM you. I have a couple other questions.
can you do a bottle conversion for the umarex komplete
@@CornellGarland I believe so, I haven't yet but it looks like the same end as the 88/90 gram co2 which I've made before
I've watched a couple of these "how to" vids on conversions but yours is by far the most comprehensive as well as entertaining. You did an AWESOME job Kid! The one thing I wish you had included would be the links for the reg & bottles as I, like many viewers have no idea where to order these needed parts from. Thanks for taking the time to educate us though and looking forward to your next vid. Jon
@@ThePadutch glad you liked the video. Sorry about the links but a few of these parts were ordered months before and some were intended for other builds. I'm sure I could find the links but couldn't tell you if they would have been good at the time I uploaded the video though. Don't know when I'll be back at the builds again but I promise I'll include any links I can in the comments
This would be awesome it a 88g to paint ball tank adapter would it be possible to make them out of 7075 billit aluminum no one make one all the one iv looked at are lower grade and they say max 1800psi i no a few people that would love a higher grade for higher pressure. On the umarex video thay said it isn't possible for one of there newer models . Id love to see that there wrong. 💯👍✌️
@@josephsaucedo8691 Umarex doesn't really condone modifications to any of their airguns. They have some legal liability if you get injured. The problem with going to high with the pressure is the actual valve inside the Air Javelin is made from cast aluminum and not billet. Its also pinned instead of threaded. 1100 psi is about all the higher I went with mine and it worked great
@kidpellet6544 that awesome . I actually was wanting the adapter this way for a different model umarex. This model umarex has a built in regulater in the rifel at 1800psi. So the tank going to be non regulated at 3k . Umarex says that it can't be adapted. Wich is partly true only because there isn't a 88g to hpa tank adapter rated currently the highest I can find is 1800psi Wich won't work because that what the reg set to if the adapter can hold at least 2k to 3k it can be converted to a nonregulated hpa bottle. The adapter will make it the cheapest best buget hpa with tons of features on the market . The airgun it self under 200$ I no there be more then a few people interested in this adapter sense there isn't one currently on the market . 💯👍🤔😉
Thank you.
I bought the same kit from archery and air gun fun, mine is a total disaster, it keeps blowing up every o-ring I put on it no matter what it holds the pressure for about 10 minutes before it blows up another o- ring
@@mindful1786 the one from the block to "part 66"?
How’s the accuracy at 17.5 mpa?
@@Tom-jw1pe it's not my idea of a benchrest competition gun but I can hit a soup can hung over a t-post at 100 yards almost every shot. Seems to be more accurate at 18 fpe than at 24 fpe though.

This video helped a lot!!! Hopefully getting my reg and bottle this week… can you do one for the zelos?
@@Tom-jw1pe unfortunately I stopped looking for the Zelos when I found out that it's a Snowpeak and the M60B model can be had with a regulated bottle and in 30 cal. A few bucks more but ends up about the same if you add a regulated bottle to the Zelos
@@kidpellet6544 wish I would’ve known that before getn my zelos last week…
Interesting. I have snowpeak pp750 with similar reg than notos. My stock had reg screw about 3 threads out and took it ccw 1 whole round. It is too much? I just want to get all fpe out of it (for hunting big jack rabbits). Any ideas how much i can take it out for max fpe but reg still func correctly? Thaks for a great video!!
Excuse me..Can change the barrels into a long barrels in 65cm ??
I really want to convert my Origin to a regulated bottle. Is there a way to do this without having the ability to machine parts?
@@richardrogers3567 to the best of my knowledge no one is making a direct fit adapter. I think someone in the Origin FB group is doing the conversion but have no idea what it would actually cost. I think one of the big holdups is by the time you pay for the Origin and the conversion it's closer to the cost of some factory regulated rifles
You need to make me one for my
@@edlyli7166 I made a couple of adapters that could be installed at home without any machine work. They used a regulated paintball type bottle and worked really well. Was just get some gauges in to show the regulated pressure and some long pic rails to mount under the bottom for bipods. Then this Z-valve came out and was less than half what I had in time and material. I liked the Z-valve so much I got several for myself lol. The ones i made are on a shelf unfinished until I come up with another idea.
wondering when you are going to do a video on the snowpeak m60 or the umarex zelos sine they are one in the same

With this device how to you actually fix it if it's not aligned properly? Just rotate the scope?
@@joshuaschreiber7772 yes rotate the scope
@@kidpellet6544 so how does this tool do anything different than just putting a plumb bob on the wall and truing your reticle to it? I want to understand so bad why this tool is important lol
@@joshuaschreiber7772 I think the clarification your looking for is at about 3:10 into the video. Not all scope mounts are made the same nor are they all held to strict tolerances during manufacturing. Some of the better mounts I like are BLK because they are self centering. Other mounts that are much lower cost have a fixed side of the clamping part and a movable side where you tighten then up and often they will advertise they fit 10 or 11mm dovetails. They cannot fit both correctly. They can fit bothe and work but cannot be truly centered on both 10 and 11mm dovetails. There are many other things to take into consideration like the tolerances in the manufacturing of the mounts and the particular rifle you wish to mount them on. This tool is just one way to align the reticle with the bore of the barrel and not just level the reticle plumb with a surface on the gun. Hope this helps
Where do I buy that internal piece ?
Do you know the hole size in the block from the Canadian unit ? Great video 👍👍
Would a notos regulator fit a origin
As far as I understand the Artemis pp750 has the same Barrel as your gun. Have you ever tried shooting light slugs with your gun? Currently my gun puts out around 10 FPE I'm going to try and get it to 14 FPE
@@surreallife777 its supposed to be made by the same factory so I would think it has the same barrel. Mine was putting out about 18 fpe and several others said the same thing. I know I adjusted the factory regulator up to around 2200 psi or a little more with a shim behind the hammer spring and got it up to 24 fpe with an 18 grain JSB. Tried a few different slugs in it with not so great power or accuracy. I think my best accuracy was with a 16 grain AirArms pellet at 18 fpe and did pretty well out to 100 yards. My friend Carl's did very well at 100 yards only with Crosman 14.3's. Not "benchrest" good but we hit a small tin can on a steel post with every shot from a sandbag. I'm thoroughly happy with that myself
