Ok so I have the original freeplay but the problem is we go different places in one night so we lose the settings on the app, we had to set EQ again at the next venue so it was a pain, so I gave up on it and got a bose s1 pro which is the best speaker for the money, I will give a try to this one and we will see, I do love the sound of it.
I believe the "link" feature is accessed in the app, but you'll forgive us for not remembering all the specifics -- we shot this video nearly three and a half years ago. If you have specific product-related questions, I'd recommend touching base with Mackie customer service directly. They're super helpful -- good luck!
@@performermag I own two of these and unless I'm an idiot, you can only stream music from your phone/via bluetooth to both speakers simultaneously, you can't hook into one speaker and bluetooth to the other. I run a cable from the mon out in one speaker to the TRS/XLR input in the other. Then I have to do some volume adjusting to get the sound equal on both sides.
Hi. Thanks for this video. But when you sing it does not sound like a live recording. It sounds like a studio recording. Which recorder did you use? Where was it located? Please tell me the truth, I'm considering to buy this Equipment. Appreciate your answer!
It sounds and looks like he used the "mon out", the monitor output of the FreePlay and recorded it directly - to any interface or zoom-like recorder. That's why you don't hear any room.
The main point of this video is to hear how it sounds live. And when that time came the sound was coming through a line. So what does it sound like?
I tried it Yesterday, I'm a busker and I woll definitely buy it asap, the quality and the Power of this speaker is unbelievable
How would it contend with drums?

There's a snapshot option that saves settings. The bose is a great speaker, but it can't go on battery, which is the main convenience of this one.
Andrew said it can transmit from 1 Freeplay speaker to another Freeplay speaker over Bluetooth. How is that done?

can it charge your phone, and can it record what you play?
No and no, sorry.
I don't think you can record what you play .. i didn't see that option there,
how does it compare to cube street ex?
We've never used that model, so we can't offer an opinion, sorry.
Hi, which model should I buy if I need a LINE OUT function ? I will use an external audio recorder to capture the performance. Thanks!
What about reverb?
It's been about 5 years since we tested this product, but I do not believe it features on-board reverb. Check the Mackie website for full details.
Does the FreePlay Go has the same features?
No, the FreePlay GO is just a portable Bluetooth speaker, not a PA system with microphone and instrument inputs for musicians.
just bought it ! how do you record the live performance please?
Just tap into the 1/4" Monitor Output on the back of the Freeplay speaker.
May I ask dose it support Android phone ? Thanks!
Yes, Master Fader v5.0 is available on iOS and Android.
