It speaks volumes for Lucille Ball's ability to spot just the right talent to exhibit on her shows ,considering the two shows she produced in Desilu , Startrek and Missiion Impossible are earning millions for their spinoffs even 50 years after they were first conceptualized by the original makers ,And a lot of her lucy episodes have inspired movies ,like the episode featuring a nuns' music band in Here's Lucy also featuring Mary Wicks may have given birth to Sister Act later on ,in which Mary Wick had a prominent role.
Though she missed earning millions from these franchises after she sold her studios in1967
, knowing the conservative, simple Woman that she was ,she may never have regretted it ,happy and satisfied to lead a retired life in luxury ,playing Password and Blackgammon
As for "Friends" the whole premise of the show is very much like the I love Lucy show ,and so many plot lines are lifted from the antics of the Ricardo and the Mertzes .
