I think this is Cold's best song. It never seemed to get the recognition it deserved. Probably because it was the "Secret" song on Year of the Spider. Awesome song, and great version. Thanks for the post.

I hate when ppl pst comments like "He really isnt a good guitar player or all his riffs are power chords"...when he could probably play circles around that person that made that comment. Plus it isnt the chord progession or makeup of the riffs, its the sound and end result of the WHOLE song that makes a guitar player good.
Its the hidden song on their album "Year of the Spider". I'm not sure if its on every version or not though. Initially it was on the wwf Tough Enough soundtrack from 2002 I believe.

i cant wait to hear the new cold stuff, i have been a fan of COLD since i was in 7th grade, way back in 97-98 and even have some grundig stuff from before there was even a COLD, scooter is a hero of mine and i will follow him and sam and terry for a long long time.

Wow, this was intense nostalgia for me. This video is 15 years old. My life was so different then. This song is 20 years old. I was such a clueless fucking kid, all 23 and ready for everything. Sweet boy, slow down. Time is weird. This song feels not so long ago, but 20 years seems like a lifetime ago at the same time. Too much life, squeezed in there for me.

@ReaperSin the withdraw symptoms of drugs can last for years n years, especially emotionally. whether he's on drugs or not is his business-it's all apart of him n his life n thats what music is all about-the emotions of what your dealing with. he could have been buzzed, withdraw affects, sad, or just tired... still an awesome song & an awesome verision

Well apparently, it's not their goodbye album after all. Initially it was planned as a final album so that Scooter could end COLD on their own terms and not on the terms of the record label but now Scooter says that he'll be working on COLD and TKATS albums for at least a couple more years until he has strengthened SonicStar records enough.
Really? I think it's a beautiful version, his voice is really mellow.
As for whether or not he's on drugs, I can't tell. This is during the years when he cleaned up so...maybe withdrawal symptoms? I don't know.

I dunno...Kelly Hayes is pretty good too. I heard some people complain about Balsamo's negative personality or something. Have no idea. But generally when it comes to shredding or whatever, Kelly takes center stage.
I think it is a equalizer sorta thing that controls the noise level on his mic. Or a second mic though I see no reason for one.

I'm a huge Scooter fan, but every now and then he sounds a bit off (flat). This is not one of those times. Usually it's the harmonies, and I blame the sound engineers. I've heard him with no mic whatsoever; he's got the voice, and the heart!

@@mckenzierae3118 the full title is "gone away (a song for Starr)". It was originally a hidden song on their CD. This version blows the studio version out of the water because it's very raw and emotional.
