I'm with you. I turned 63 this March and I am loving it I have more drones then I have time to fly. But that will change this year. I will make it a point to fly every drone I own. From the toys to the big boys. Yee Hah!
Cisco Kid ,you beat me by one year and yes this Gentleman is a giant at what he does and he is very knowledgeable and smart and to tell you the truth ,I think he is the best .take care buddy.
Hello! Love your videos! I'm having trouble connecting my iPhone 6s Plus to my drone via the Litchi app. I bought the cable you're using in this video. I'm not seeing the video feed from the drone when I connect. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks Rick, I'm a newbie to the hobby, still waiting for my first DRONE but love learning. Thanks for discussing the litchi app and I look forward to seeing your reccomends for the goggles
Rick, I wanted to thank you for your review. Based on your thorough breakdown of the Homido goggles, I felt confident enough to give them a go. I ordered a pair and got them this past week and love them. I can fly without my prescription glasses using the adjustment on the goggles and that really makes using them much more comfortable than when I have to leave my glasses on. This a great economical solution. I spent about $120 including shipping versus $1000-$2000 minimum for an Oculus style googles. Again thank you for your thoroughness as l was able to make a much more informed purchase.
Bruce, thanks for the comment and the feedback. I love these goggles and have tried a few other pairs that didn't really impress me. I'll be doing a separate review clip for the Homido model I used in the clip for other subscribers since I've gotten so many questions about them. Your honest comments are helpful since you're now an owner. Thanks again for letting me know how you liked them and I hope you'll sub the channel if you haven't already. Rick
I'm new to droning and just ordered a Mavic pro. I was wondering if you could do a video covering everything that you suggest we carry in a drone kit. Things like tools and consumables etc.

Nice job...very articulate and whoever gave you thumbs down probably doesn't speak english or hates the RC hobby enthusiasts. Keep up the great work, subscribed.
Charles, thanks for the post and I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. There are a lot of different types of viewers out there and I know I can't please everyone. As long as most people find value in these I'll keep plugging along. Be sure to stop back soon, I have more content posting. Rick
thanks for the review. what if you select fpv and you flying without any goggles? is that possible and what's it like? what's the difference with flying regularly?
Awesome and very helpful video!! even though I don't have the Mavic pro yet... (saving money), stuck with a Typhoon 4k that no body wants to buy, lol... been watching all of your videos for when the times comes... thank you!! and keep up the good work...
Love your videos. Cancelled my Mavic order until spring (New York weather) until then I bought a SYMA 5XHW to practice with since I'm new to the hobby. In the the interim I'm learning from your videos and experience. Thanks an keep up the great work.
Good call on the Mavic. It would be frustrating to have that shiny new drone sitting on a shelf and not be able to fly it for months. Also, your warranty would be ticking down even though you weren't flying the quad. Thanks for watching the clips and I'm glad you're enjoying them. Thanks again Rick. You have answered many old questions I had about FPV. I surely hope DJI is watching your videos and reading the comments. I bet in the next firmware update they will make one of the USB ports HDMI out. I know DJI is going to coming out with their own goggles, however they need to incorporate in their next software update a selection on the DJI Pilot app an icon that has FPV. This way you can get into FPV settings such as the Litchi app offers. Keep the videos coming. I am downloading all of them into my DJI Mavic Pro folder.
Thanks for stopping by and the new DJI goggles look amazing. I have a friend who has an early release pair of them and said that they are incredible. They offer full HD 1808p viewing with an insane field of view. I honestly can't wait to get my hands on them and will do a few clips for the channel once I do. In the meantime I'll keep playing with the controller to see if I can figure something else out. Thanks, Rick
One thing about using the smartphone in the goggles. You HAVE to land. You cannot just get close to the ground, flip the goggles off and relax. Unless you are on the ground and have the drone shutdown it could do crazy things. Things that would not be good for the unit ! I hope the weather is better than it is here in Houston. We have rain and more rain and it is 42 degrees.
I just bought a Mavic Mini, which i love. I also have a pair of Headplay goggles that I used to fly DJI Phantom 3 Professional with. I am legally bliond, but with the Headplay goggles and a set of Carson Magnifier lenses, I can see perfect. I noticed that your company is always making combination cables for drones. Could you make such a cable so that i could connect my phone ( a USB-C connection) to my Mavic Mini Controler to my Headplay goggles ( a HDMI connection )? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.......Thanks Richard Henning
Good Morning Rick excellent as always. I tried the goggles and found it to be "OK" but I am waiting for the DJI Goggles !! I hope you have ordered the P4P Plus ! AMAZING !!! I mean absolutely AMAZING !!
I'm still getting used to them as well after flying with them a bunch, it's definitely a different experience. I'm hoping to have a P4P very soon and can't wait to play with it. It looks like they did an awesome job with the upgrades and it should take incredible footage. Thanks for the post and be sure to stop back soon. Rick
I know nothing about FPV other than general knowledge. I'm curious what the difference would be (practically) between connecting directly to the controller (hdmi) versus getting the video directly from the phone ?
Hey! Have you ever tried connecting your android phone to the Mavic transmitter and then using the phone's Smart View function to transmit the image to a TV?
Blitzwolf VR goggles on eBay... very nice. Well built, has all the adjustment knobs - 2 year warranty. I have used them now with Litchi flying my P4 for a few months - hardly ever use the Go-app anymore (reason being that the Go-app does not have the VR dual screen function.).
Excellent Job! love your enthusiasm and focus. Makes for a real learning experience . Take it from a real A.d.d.Person who can only learn from folks who talk fast and accurately. I appreciate your approach honestly!
Thanks a lot for the post and I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. I have fun doing these and its inspiring to know that others are getting value from the clips. Be sure to sub the channel so you don't miss any of my updates this week. Thanks, Rick
Now that's cool! I don't have the Mavic yet - (It's on order!) - but I do have the VR goggles that came with the Parrot DISCO - so, using those with the Litchi app should work out great! Thanks so much for sharing this information!
your videos are always very informative. .thank you...I have a free pair of Samsung VR Goggles coming soon..Because of this video ill be purchasing the MAVIC
Is it possible to connect my iPhone to the universal port and use it for vr and also have my iPad on the remote connected to the USB port for my friend to use (the iPad is running litchi and the iPhone is the DJI go app)
Just want to clarify immersive mode vs joystick mode. Immersive mode only lows left and right spins. You said in immersive mode that you took your phone out and the drone came down into the tree?
You can actually land the quad the same as you would normally, I just goofed and took off the goggles before landing the drone. A Bluetooth mouse would help and Homido actually sells one that is a companion to the goggles you can use to control your phone. Thanks for the post and I hope you sub the channel so you don't miss anything. Rick
I have a few more VR headsets that I'll be reviewing as well as the dedicated one from DJI when that releases so be sure to stay tuned. My favorite solution is to use the Litchi application with a headset like the Homido for FPV right now. Rick
Thanks for the post and I've used a few of these style cables over the years and it's kind of cool to see the lights stripe along as you're charging. Rick
What about the adapter Apple sells to connect lighting devices to hdmi? I have one , still waiting on my mavic to ship but this dongle has lightning ok one side then hdmi out and lightning in. Maybe gang can be used to drive a monitor with iPhone
Ted, that may work and I'll have to give it a try. I know that if I use my Nvidia Shield as a tablet with the Mavic Pro, I can use the HDMI output on that to drive my FatSharks. I didn't want to suggest that as a solution for this because it would require folks to replace their phone/tablet, which is expensive. This solution is inexpensive and works with any phone that can run the app. Thanks for the post and be sure to sub the channel so you don't miss anything. Rick
I saw a vid where a fella was able to sync in sum nice real goggles and use dji flight software . I think he spliced into the wire or sumn i cant remember but i feel like litchi is a risky flight app to use if it voids warranty etc
Thank you Rick. Did you test if OcuSync broadcasts a useable 5.8 signal with your FatSharks? There is a FPV workaround. I have a Eachine MC02 FPV Camera System that weighs only 9.9g that combined with a small LiPo and mounted to the top of the Mavic with Velcro would provide a DIY solution. Adding a second MC02 to the bottom of your FPV goggles aimed at your Mavic controller with a switch would allow you to flip between FPV and looking at your controller/around you. Adding a Eagletree Vector would provide OSD telemetry in a F-16 HUD style minus the Vector controlling the Mavic.
Wow, thanks for the post and you really know your tech. I had thought about looking for the 5.8 with the FatShark but have only used it up to now as a direct video input device. I'll have to add a receiver and antenna to try that so maybe that will be my next test. I'm thinking that since DJI is releasing their own headset very soon that even if the signal is there it may be "tweaked" to work with their gear. Time will tell but it'll be fun trying to find a hack that works. Be sure to sub the channel to see the new clips I'll be posting. Rick
Drone Valley I think you are right about DJI protecting their oversize FPV goggles. Really the biggest gripe I with the Mavic specs is the lack of a HDMI port which should be standard these days., I already subscribe. I appreciate your thorough content and VideoBlocks production values.
I am wondering about the problem I have getting a good picture on a sunny day. My iPad mini or iPhone 6 gets washed out. I was thinking of using FPV goggles so i can better set up camera settings with the lighting. Would this be a good way to achieve better results ?
Hey Drone Valley! Great reviews that are very concise and informative - just subscribed. I looked on Amazon to buy the Homido V2 goggles and was surprised by the 2.5 star rating with three of the only 7 reviewers stating they were cheap and broke after a few minutes. Now I don't give a lot of credence to reviews all the time especially with so few reviews but wanted to hear your take on this. Thank you,
I sorted through those reviews as well and all of the complaints boiled down to an "action" button on the goggles not working. I didn't cover it in the review because in practice the button is essentially an afterthought. What it does is pop out a finger to tap the screen of your phone when you push a button on the top of the goggles. The reason it's not needed is because if your flying a quad you'll never use it and if you're playing games you'll be using a more sophisticated Bluetooth controller. I guess it could be considered a defect but its a feature that you'll never use so I wouldn't worry about it. I hope that helps and thanks for the post. Rick
Great video, Thank you! Btw, on a iPhone screen where there is red and blue back screen, I noticed iPhone color gets darker towards the blue back screen. Does the iPhone has two color tone from left to right or it's the one colored iPhone but it looks like the color changing? Answer?
Thorsten, thanks for stopping by and my family is originally from Germany and I've been there a few times (without my drone) an its a beautiful country. I appreciate you watching the clips and hope you sub the channel so you don't miss any updates. Rick
Great information as usual. Could you follow up with how to prevent a crash. I.e. How to transition from FPV to visual. As a instructor It is always good to learn from others mistakes. Thanks
Thanks for the post and there are a few different functions you can turn on with the application. The simplest is gimbal control, which doesnt affect the flight but allows you to move the gimbal by moving your head. The trickier options actually control the flight of the quad. When these are on any turning movement of your head forces the quad to spin and this is what caused my crash. I forgot that the headset was essentially flying the quad and when I when yo take my phone out I flipped it down and the quad followed suit. I would suggest that if you're using this feature that you hold the phone and twist the headset down to remove the phone so you can keep it as steady as possible. Thanks again for the post and I hope you sub the channel. Rick
Great video Rick was wanting some information an FPV. Very informative like always. Will have to look into that sounds like it could be a blast in FPV..Thanks Again..Scott
Dave, thanks for the post and I am working on a few clips that cover the features in the Litchi application. Be sure to sub the channel so you're notified when I post new content. Thanks again for the comment. Rick
Rick, you can use the nVidia Shield tablet. Bo Lentzen came up with a great mounting system for the Shield. The Shield works great and has has HDMI output. See Bo's unboxing of the Mavic. Obviously, a 1ft micro USB with a right angle end is essential, in the bottom port. Then you can use your FatShark.
Dana, I have actually done that with my nVidia shield but felt bad suggesting that in the clip because most people would have had to buy a new tablet. The Litchi app provides a less expensive way of using FPV that works on almost every phone out there. Thanks for the post. Rick
Rick, I agree. I was just mentioning it in case you were not aware. Also, DJI made a big deal of their new VR headset at the Mavic launch in NY, but no info on it since. I also think it's going to be expensive. I think using Litchi is the best way to try FVR without a lot of financial commitment.
What do you recommend then for exiting VR mode if folding down while flying is not recommended? Finish the flight in vr mode? Higher altitude when taking off the goggles?
I sure enjoy your videos. Very informative and useful. I've been flying with the goggles and am a bit disappointed with the video quality. I'm wondering if my set up may be wrong. iPhone 6s and Mavic pro. Got any ideas?
Question: are the picture and movie buttons on the remote still functional when we fly fpv with a Homido for instance ? If yes don't we have the problem of focusing typical to the Magic? Thanks in advance , and thanks for the great videos .
There is a single "action button on the headset that can be used for center-focus. What I normally do it tap the center of the screen before closing the front door and that provides a good compromise when flying. I hope that helps and thanks for the post. Be sure to sub the channel so you don't miss anything. Rick
I just bought a USB toHDMI converter. I’m hoping that will do the trick to convert theHDMI signal coming out of the DJI remote controller to my headplay FPV goggles.
How do the Homido cones work for all prescriptions as far as the near sighted and far sighted cones go? i just don't get how'd they work for a range of different eyesight corrective needs.
I have to use reading glasses for anything more than 2 feet from my face and the adjustments in the goggles allow me to use them without the glasses. I'm not sure how well they can accommodate other prescriptive lenses but there is enough room inside of the chamber that you can wear a set of glasses with them on. I'm not sure you could fit a very large frame in there but mine fit OK. It's a little tricky to put them on with glasses but they work well once you have them on your head. I hope that helps and be sure to sub the channel so you don't miss any updates. Rick
No doubt, this is the best drone channel, glad to know that you are over 11,000 subscribers. I would like to know your opinion about the dpi go App (both of them) I am using the first one because I have heard that some people has had some problems with the dji go4. Keep up the good works, regards from Mexico City
Pedro, thanks for the post and the amazing support. I enjoy doing these clips and its gratifying to see people enjoying them. I use both the original DJI Go and the new one and they both work fine for me. I wouldn't worry at all and if you do find something you don't like, you can always delete the app and install the older version. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you sub the channel. Rick
Love your informative videos. Would you be able to make a video describing an overview of the drone laws in the USA? i.e., who needs to register, altitude restrictions, etc? I feel that with this ever-changing industry/hobby, it would be important for beginners to be responsible where needed by being educated in the regulations. Thanks!
You can use either Litchi or the DJI Go application to fly the P4P and most of the features you'll want are in both applications. Litchi does provide a more expansive "mission" function that I use often so if you want to be able to plan and execute specific flights then I'd suggest you try the Litchi app. Thanks for the post and be sure to sub the channel. Rick
I been watching you for a while before I even order my first drone which is Phantom 4 pro and I did subscribed you got my supporting and your videos are awesome very helpful. will see if I stay on my iPad or get an Android that way I know which litchi app I should get thanks for fast reply.
Jean, the connection between the quad and the controller uses Ocusync but the cable between the controller and the phone is straight USB. It works well as long as you have an application that supports stereo vision like Litchi. Thanks for the post and stop back soon. Rick
Rick, I have the homido goggles and also looking at the yuneec goggles yes I know they are big and weird looking but can I use the HDMI adapter for my phone or tablet for that or do I still have to get a tablet with HDMI out? thanks Rick.
Hi i am Danny From the netherlands and i have a cinemizer oled goggles and it Works great and i use it with My 3dr solo drone but over 2 weeks i go to buy a mavic pro drone and i want to conect it with My cinemizer oled goggles but this goggles use HDMI in/output so what i want to know is how do i conect my cinemizer oled goggles with the mavic drone . Greetings Danny damveld From the netherlands pleas help me
Robert, I hope it gets there soon! It's an amazing quad and really is a dream to fly. Thanks for the post and be sure to sub the channel to stay up on new clips. Rick
hi there: I see the litchi App 3 three different app? I see for phantom inspire Mavic pro? Can you tell me with one it the right one? I have inspire 1 and Mavic proThanks.
Rick your video's fantastic. So much useful information. So your still going threw the remote so you should bet the same range for your googles. Do you have a link to those googles. Just curious. I have to see what DJI has coming out before I decide what to get. I thought they would be out by now.
James, thanks a lot for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. I have a lot of fun doing these so be sure to sub the channel so you don't miss any of my upcoming clips. Rick
Thanks for the video I have been waiting seven months for the dji goggles. Does the litchi keep the mavic updated like the go4 app does? Does litchi install to the mavic?
I have yet to purchase a quad and I really appreciate all the information on your channel. I'll probably get a Mavic later this winter, based a lot on the insight you give. I have a question that's probably really basic for all of you in the know. I have loss the sight in one eye in the last year. Are FPV goggles a stereo 3d image, and will I be able to use one and enjoy it with one eye? I can no longer use my 3d tv or go to 3d movies.
For all of you flying older drones with no HDMI outputs on the controls, try searching for The Nvidia Shield. even used it is in a high demand. Its a gaming tablet that has the HDMI output already installed. plug it to a pair of HDMI type goggles such as the DJI goggles or the Echine goggles 2. as soon as you plug in the goggles to the HDMI port on the tablet, it gives you two options. the one you want is Mirroring. transmits an exact copy of what you see on the tablet to your goggles. This post here is old and now we do in fact have the DJI goggles as a wireless option for the Mavic Pro.
Yes, those goggles will be perfect for flying FPV with the Litchi app. Have fun and be sure to sub the channel when you get a chance so you don't miss anything. Rick
Im uncertain about one thing, maybe someone can explain!? if im going to buy the DJI Mavic, can i use any set of goggles - put my phone in them, and connect with the usb to the remote / install the litchi app - and it will work? and if i want to use the Zeiss Cinemizers - i need to have a tablet with hdmi (for example Nvidia Shield), connect that with hdmi to.....?
I also recommend a black, silicon, stick on "tidy cable" from Amazon (single slotted version) on your goggles as a strain relief for the USB cable, so it stars connected during flight.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. I have a lot more content posting soon so please be sure and sub the channel so you don't miss anything. Rick
Rick: Using The DJI GO 4 app (For drones since P4) to fly Mavic Pro, can't you fly FPV with a USB connection going from the Mavic controller USB to micro USB connection to cellphone (Android), which will then be installed in the Homedo and or any other third party FPV Goggles?
Marc, thanks for the post and that would work well, except for one small issue. To use the Homido (or any set of goggles that couple with your phone) the image needs to be split into a "stereo" view. The Litchi app does this well when you put it into goggle mode and is the missing link with the DJI Go4 application. I hope that makes sense and thanks again for stopping by. Rick
Rick: appreciate the reply. Unfortunately I'm still within DJIs 1 year warranty window, for replacement and or warranty purposes, so I'm confined to using the DJI go4 App for at least 1 year. I've recently acquired an Nvidia Shield tablet which has an HDMI out port, and may try using the Fatshark FPV goggles in lieu of the DJI goggles. Can you think of any reason why the Fatshark goggles wouldn't work with the tablet and Mavic Pro controller??
Great video... Exactly the information I have been looking for. Does the return to home, object avoidance etc still work using the Litchi app and the FPV functions? Is the app stable enough to risk a $1k toy? thanks for posting!

Another great video Rick. Love FPV the best way to fly.
Thanks for the post and I really enjoy it as well. I can't do it for hours but I try to use the goggles a few times each time I fly. Thanks, Rick

Thanks for this well done video with a lot of information and easy listening to your voice.
Your videos are very well thought out.
Best clips on the internet. Thanks.
Just got my mavic pro and having done fpv before that was my next step. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you for a very clear and well thought out presentation. It is much appreciated.
Is it possible to connect my iPhone to the universal port and use it for vr and also have my iPad on the remote connected to the USB port for my friend to use (the iPad is running litchi and the iPhone is the DJI go app)
Excellent info again Rick, thanks buddy!
All in all a great video once again, great job Rick!
Thanks for the post and I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. I have a few more posting this week so be sure to stay tuned. Rick
Learnt so much from your clips, thanks so much, very good presentations.
Just want to clarify immersive mode vs joystick mode. Immersive mode only lows left and right spins. You said in immersive mode that you took your phone out and the drone came down into the tree?
Thanks for the informative video. I always look to depend on your knowledge to help me with my drones.
So how would you land with the goggles and litchi? How about Bluetooth to a mouse to control the screen without opening?
You can actually land the quad the same as you would normally, I just goofed and took off the goggles before landing the drone. A Bluetooth mouse would help and Homido actually sells one that is a companion to the goggles you can use to control your phone. Thanks for the post and I hope you sub the channel so you don't miss anything. Rick
Drone Valley what about hand catching the mavic? turn on sport mode to shut down sensors?
Great video; do you have any updates that you can share? Specifically, what is the current state of the art for FPV with mavic pro?
I have a few more VR headsets that I'll be reviewing as well as the dedicated one from DJI when that releases so be sure to stay tuned. My favorite solution is to use the Litchi application with a headset like the Homido for FPV right now. Rick
I'm gonna try this cable hope you will too the charging flow sounds like a neat feature.👍🏼
Really the biggest gripe I with the Mavic specs is the lack of a HDMI port which should be standard these days.,
I already subscribe.
Best seller ever. My respect. Thanks for the videos!
can you fly the phantom 4 pro with the mavics controller?
excellent video -as I wait for my Mavic to arrive I am learning a lot from you
Hey Drone Valley!
Rick
Thank you
Great video,
Thank you!
Btw, on a iPhone screen where there is red and blue back screen, I noticed iPhone color gets darker towards the blue back screen.
Does the iPhone has two color tone from left to right or it's the one colored iPhone but it looks like the color changing? Answer?
I'm not sure which screen you're referring to. Please explain things a little simpler and I can help answer your question. Thanks, Rick
Does this also work with the dji spark and the samsung vr goggles
Excellent, thanks for all your videos. Greetings form Germany.
Thorsten, thanks for stopping by and my family is originally from Germany and I've been there a few times (without my drone) an its a beautiful country. I appreciate you watching the clips and hope you sub the channel so you don't miss any updates. Rick
Question how would this set up go if you only had one eye?
Great information as usual. Could you follow up with how to prevent a crash. I.e. How to transition from FPV to visual. As a instructor
It is always good to learn from others mistakes.
Rick
Do you know of a VR goggles that will work with a Motorola Moto Z force? Similar to the Moto Z. Thanks
Great video Rick was wanting some information an FPV. Very informative like always. Will have to look into that sounds like it could be a blast in FPV..Thanks Again..Scott
Scott, I'm glad you enjoyed the clip and appreciate the post. Flying FPV is amazing so I hope you give it a try. Rick
Oustanding video Sir. Stayed on topic and kept the information coming without drifting into lah lah land. Liked and subscribed!!
Thanks a lot for the support and I'm glad you liked the clip. I'll have more content posting this week so be sure to stop back soon. Rick
Hello, I really appreciate your videos. I would love to see more videos on the uses of the Litchi App. Thanks.
Dose the litchi app give you a bigger range of phones and androids devices or are you still restricted to the ones supported by dji
Rick
The Homido is no longer available. What would be a contemporary alternative?
Rick,
Can you use your iPhone charging cable to connect to the controller to your iPhone for the VR
Never mind.............I'm dumb. Had the plug on the controller on the side plugged in which wouldn't allow the USB port to work
Chris, glad you caught that and figured it out. Thanks for the post and be sure to sub the channel so you don't miss anything. Rick
will being in immersive mode allow the gimble to move up/down as well as rotate. or does looking up and down just ascend/descend the drone?
Thanks!
Thanks for the Vid, good clear instructions. How do you take photos or record video once in FPV? Thanks
do i need litchi app for phantom 4 pro if I am not using FPV just only need those features
Rick
I been watching you for a while before I even order my first drone which is Phantom 4 pro and I did subscribed you got my supporting and your videos are awesome very helpful. will see if I stay on my iPad or get an Android that way I know which litchi app I should get thanks for fast reply.
does the dji go app have the option to fly with goggles or only with the litche app?
Could you say if the fpv use the smartphone wifi or OcuSync with usb connection between smartphone and rc... ?
Greetings Danny damveld From the netherlands pleas help me
Thanks Rick - good stuff - still waiting for backordered Mavic
Have done thanks Rick have a good xmas
Hi thks four your video I have a Mavic Pro Platinum and Yuneec Goggles can I use on my Drone whitch cable I need to work thank you very munch
My phone is Samsung S6
Thank you Sir, I bought the entire set up, plus the range extender from your other video, based on your review. Lol. Great videos, keep it up!
Love the videos Rick keep up the good work big help to us all
James, thanks a lot for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. I have a lot of fun doing these so be sure to sub the channel so you don't miss any of my upcoming clips. Rick
Great video man I always look forward as I'm getting into the drone world
The DJI Goggles have a 100ms delay from the quad, in contrast a slow pc monitor is running at about an 8ms or higher delay. Big difference isn't it?
Thanks for the video I have been waiting seven months for the dji goggles. Does the litchi keep the mavic updated like the go4 app does? Does litchi install to the mavic?
Can I use my Oculus goggles to fly my DJI mavic Pro?
What about tap-to-focus when flying with the VR goggles?
You have to assign "center focus" on one of the remote's push buttons.
So how would you focus the camera using goggles since the mavic uses "touch to focus"?
set the bC1 or nC2 button
TheBigb1973 use one of the controller buttons for focus
I've got a Samsung Gear VR. Would this work with those googles?
Yes, those goggles will be perfect for flying FPV with the Litchi app. Have fun and be sure to sub the channel when you get a chance so you don't miss anything. Rick
Im uncertain about one thing, maybe someone can explain!?
if im going to buy the DJI Mavic, can i use any set of goggles - put my phone in them, and connect with the usb to the remote / install the litchi app - and it will work?
and if i want to use the Zeiss Cinemizers - i need to have a tablet with hdmi (for example Nvidia Shield), connect that with hdmi to.....?
Best UA-cam video I've ever seen
I also recommend a black, silicon, stick on "tidy cable" from Amazon (single slotted version) on your goggles as a strain relief for the USB cable, so it stars connected during flight.
That's a great idea and will really protect the connection on the goggles.
Thank you for this channel. Great, informative videos.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. I have a lot more content posting soon so please be sure and sub the channel so you don't miss anything. Rick
Thank you sir - another great review and video.
