I'm really sorry I did not see your vid earlier! A temporary but instant fix for this problem is to disable the 'engine Start/Stop' function (just press the button). I think it changes the programm sequence in the black box or something but it worked when mine had exactly the same symptoms.
For everyone who’s looking the issue its the egr valve i changed the gearbox and still the same than a garage told me its the egr valve after that its all good
Weird that the EGR valve could affect transmission function. I though it might be the clutch actuators needing a clean and lube. But I've seen more than one source say it's EGR related.
Yes, eventually Ford Benoni got it sorted. They gave me a story of some vacuum pipe have a hole in it, and quite honestly I could not really get a decent explanation as to why that caused the problem. did not make logical sense to me. I sold the vehicle not long after.
I have Ford kuga first Year. I have solve this Problem, you must Chance the Fuse from the Fusebox, from 5 A to 10A, i have Chance this and after that the car was working
Just had the same problem Ford fixed it Still with in the warranty period 105500 km It was a circular disk in the transmission that was the problem The disk was not made good quality It broke circularly near the bearings Sorry about the technical terms I'm not a mechanic But it's running good as new now Maybe ford should be stricter on the quality of parts or assembly of it Mine is the diesel Spent a week in service
Hi Robert, can you give me some more specific details on the circular disk. I have the same issue (out of warranty) and ford said I have to replace the gearbox
@@dukenuke337 Hi Martin, could you manage to sort out your Kuga? I am experiencing the same problem. It's been back and forth 6 times now. Taken it to a dealership in Randfontein with the hope that they will find the problem.
@@ankebekruger9048 hi there, I think mine was a software update - I also don't drive with cruise control on anymore - do you find that this exacerbates the problem? I pick a gear in sport mode and then put cruise control on. Since the update and the driving style change it hasn't happened again? Don't know which one "fixed" it? (Holding thumbs)
I am based in South Africa and experience exactly the same problem with my Kuga. It's been to Ford 6 times. Taken it to another dealership for the 7th time now. Kevin Holloway, did you manage to sort out your Kuga?
Hi, I am going through the same thing with my Kuga as well. Ford has absolutely no clue as to what is going on. Been in four times (Maybe more...I've lost track). Did you find a solution?
Sounds like everyone has had the same problem but all with a different fix. 🤷 has anyone had a shudder when in 5 or 6 gear waiting to shift down. Mines automatic petrol. It's doing that shudder and more recently it's been slipping out of first and slingshotting me forward very violently. I think these fords are rubbish. Never buy one again.

Same problem on mine. Rear right ABS sensor replacement fixed the problem.

Hi Robert, mine did this on the trip back from Cape Town - so did they diagnose it quickly or was it a protracted trial and error thing?

Just been to Fords with the same problem... they say change the rear diff oil and filter £440.00 but no guarantee of a fix..
I had this problem with my VW Golf. I thought I was up for a new transmission. I worked it out myself , it was the transmission fluid which was low.
I have the same problem, I took to Aut Electrical. In few days it came up àgain. Now took it to Ford and I am still waiting for their call.
Hey mate this exact same thing has just happened to mine. Any luck to finding solution to fix it?
