I died laughing when your Mom said “you’re a crackhead”. LOL I have my surgery in the morning. Super nervous. Very huge tonsils. Looking forward to it all being over.
@Travelsandmore333 so I'm about 2 weeks in and healing great! it's definitely a mind over matter thing. the pain meds help but aren't a cure all; you're gonna feel some nasty pain days 4-10. I've only been med and pain free for a few days now. if you can't tolerate the pain meds after the first few days (nausea), liquid Tylenol has been a lifesaver. sleep, hydrate and keep stress to a minimum. have a humidifier to combat dry air+ dry mouth. they say 2 weeks youre healed but that's b.s. lol definitely gonna need at least another week feel more normal and a full month to be fully healed. this was my first surgery ever and it's been 'fun' but I'm ready to get back to normal now. 😅 🙃 staying put is the hardest part because restlessness was at an all time high for me but you gotta stick it out to give your body time to recoup. I'd be glad to answer any specific questions 😄
i'm on day one watching this lol i'll say how my recovery's going!! day 1: i got them removed today and it doesn't hurt that bad at all really i'm just drinking a lot of water but i can like feel it in the back of my throat like the tonsil remains ig? day 2: it actually didn't hurt at night and i slept well last night but it hurts more then yesterday, i'm only on day 2 but i'm just so ready to be done with this!! my neck and cheeks swelled up a little bit but not terrible and i've been trying to keep hydrated and i didn't lose my voice but it hurts to talk so i haven't been talking the things that help have been soup , water , sprite and wendy's frostys!! day 3: morning of day 3 the pains significantly worse and my mouth tastes terrible, later on i ate mac and cheese and a little bit more real food. hot showers really help me day 4: I feel sm better! i don't know why or what happened but my throat feels a lot better even though it still hurts but my ears have started hurting a little bit, i really just feel like i have a cold and i've been taking a bit less medication, eating still hurts tho and going outside helps!
@@coolpumpkins453 i had just mainly had a lot of infections with my tonsils and i got tonsillitis a few times! the pain is the worst on day 3 and 4 and then gets a lot better soon after that but it feels similar to bad tonsillitis and it also kinda feels like something's stuck in you throat. the things that helped me where going out side, drinking ice water and not talking much
It was absolute hell for 7 days. Worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my 18 years of life. Lost 10 pounds, started vomiting, literally could not swallow. Scabs fell off and day 8 was the first day I felt a little better. Each day after that got better and now I feel great. It’s INCREDIBLY worth it tho bc I no longer snore, get tonsil stones, tonsillitis, sore throats, and it’s way easier to breathe.
when i got my wisdom teeth out it was absolutely the worst pain i’ve been in. my recovery took weeks and it felt like the pain was never gonna go away. my face was definitely bruised and yellow looking for a while. so mya dw i had mental breakdowns too cause i was so over the pain and not being able to eat anything 😭🤍
Did you have the misfortune of getting all four out (I did LOL) And yeah the pain was the worst but for me maybe just for the next couple of days (I only had to use my pain pills for a day or two and then the rest of the week was simply Tylenol and Advil)
So I'm on day 10 , i feel fine - I'm back to work. Waking up it was pain level of 7, took my meds, ate some frozen yogart bars, lots of ice and water (even iced coffee). I swallowed my food on one side more than the other and the scabs look good, still thick on the other . Just relax, the worst was 1-5 days for me.
i am so happy i got this surgery done when i was 3. i’m 14 and i can’t imagine going through it now, also i still remember some memories of getting them removed and i remember them putting me to sleep, being in the room before surgery, coming home and i also randomly smell the medicine sometimes
@@Eri-de7jw well thanks for asking today is day 9 and by day 14 I can eat hard foods, like chips and stuff, but I was very neverous before but the staff calmed me down. Anyone considering the syrgery GET IT . Even though the pain is horrible, in the long run it is so beneficial anad everyone has a different experience. I am on my 9th day and the pain varries day by day. What helped me a lot is eating cold foods like ice pops or ice cream, plenty of water and taking my meds as prescribed and don't be afraid to ask your surgeon questions if you are alarmed by something. I got depressed here and there cause I just miss eating normal food and some people have pointed out that I lost a bit of weight😭😭But best advice is to take PLENTY of sleep and rest, do not strain your voice, drink water and don't rush to get better cause eventually you will get back to normal❤All the best regovery to everyone having the surgery.
Watching this rn cause I just got my tonsils removed and I also cried a lot, the pain is like no other. I’m going on day 10 of recovery. Thank u for helping me get through it! It was hard not to laugh 😭♥️
Had my tonsils out on Monday morning! Honestly wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Its been the worst experience of my life. I know in the long run it will be worth it though!

I’m on day 3 today. I’m not feeling any pain so far, I’ve been staying on top of my medication. Taking it every 4.5hrs instead of the recommended 5hrs. And drinking as much water as I can.
awww i’m so sorry that ur going through this, i got my tonsils removed a while ago and this is giving me flashbacks that i didn’t know i had 😭😭 feel better!!
Ugh I got my tonsils out at like 23 years old and SAME, mine were HUGE and causing strep throat multiple times a year everryyy single year of my life lol - IT WAS THE WORST SURGERY RECOVERY EVER!! Glad you made it out ok girlie lol - you’re a rockstar!!
i got mine out in the end of march, i watched soooooooooo many videos of vlogs. they said it would be horrible, i personally dont think it was that bad. i remember one night it was terrible, my jaw hurt sooo bad as well as my ears. the worst part was the iv and not being able to go to school and see my friends.the first time i woke up i freaked out and kicked the doctors like crazy. the sencond time i woke up i opened my eyes very slowly. the nurse asked if i wanted my mom and i said yes and almost cried, not bcus it hurt but bcus first of all i was still all woozy and weird, and second of all i was super scared. they gave me a popscicle and they took a minute for me to eat it half way and wheeled me out in a wheel chair. You got your tonsils out on my birthday! Also i beileve my tonsils were the biggestin the world, its august now and still dont have results on what was wrong with em. my mom got a lot of jello and pudding.
So sorry you had to go through all that pain mya :// but at the end of the video i could tell your voice is going back to normal !! Just give it about 2-4 days and you should be fine !!
I got mine out when I was 18 they were HUGE too!! And Black! It was the WORST pain omg I cried all the time. Couldn't drink or eat anything for days!! It felt like fire and needles poking me constantly!! Definitely awful
Omg how awesome!! I am so stoked you replied @myabenway !! Thank you! I love you and your family so much! I hope you get to feeling better asap!! Sending you so many healing vibes n love ❤️
I get operated (tonsilectomy) 10 days before the pain is still there But suggestion for all you about pain management is very simple Just take half spoon of turmeric in lukewarm water and take it pain will disappear in 2 minutes
I’m on day 1 , pain was bad as soon as I got out of surgery so they gave me oxy it is a lot better now still sore just took first round of medication. This video will help me through my recovery! I am about to have some scramble eggs
Shoutouts to the hospital/surgeon staff for being patient and dealing with all this nonsense while they are trying to facilitate and care for other patients coming in for relief as well..
What nonsense? I think vlogs such as this can be helpful and insightful. She wasn’t in the way, didn’t carry crazy equipment in the room with her, and her sweet mom took over for the most difficult parts. No pranks or annoying behavior. Kudos to you two for doing this vlog. I’m on day 5 and I’m in a ton of pain right now so it’s good to know that what I’m going through is perfectly normal.
I get my tonsils out soon and I've been told by my doctors that mine are giant so I've been nervous, I also got a breast reduction so I've been wondering how similar the recoveries would be. But thank you for being so real about it because now I'll try to prepare more for the pain
After watching this I'm a little more prepared for MY surgery! I'm honestly so afraid. I'm not afraid of the surgery; it's the RECOVERY PROCESS. OH MY GOD. I remember I got my wisdom teeth out... I was young and timid at the time, so I was like extra dramatic about it, but also being brutally honest. Also, what a coincidence! I'm also removing my tonsils on 11/11! Thats so cool! I assume that you feel the best now, right?
Omg I go for my surgery next month on 12/19 😮 I was hoping to feel somewhat better to travel for NYE lol but it’s looking like I’m gonna be down for a while 😮… how long were you all off work??
Im getting a tonsillectomy soon😭 im so scared my tonsils are huge too like theyre the size of normal peoples tonils when there swollen and thats when im not sick😭
I completely agree! I had my tonsils out at 15 years old and the older you get, the more difficult and painful it is! I almost died having my tonsils out, because of the bleeding. The doctor couldn't stop the bleeding and they said I lost way more blood than the average person, to the point I had to have testing done after the surgery. They needed to find out if I had a blood clotting disease/diagnosis. Later, I found out that my uncle had actually passed away years ago from being a hemophiliac. He had a nose bleed and bled to death. This was back in the 60s I believe, but still a scary thing to find out! Recovery, for me, was HORRIBLE!!! Still 30 years later, I can still remember that pain like it was yesterday! Years later, my son needed his tonsils out, at five years old, and he was up running around within a few days and didn't seem to be in hardly any pain. Of course, I was completely grateful, but it definitely shows how much more difficult this surgery is as you get older! I hope you healed fine and are feeling much better! God bless and love & light always! 🙏❤️👼🩷😇💖🪽💗💫💝🌟💞🫶💕♊🥰✨💘🧿
Here to share my whole experience as a teenager getting a tonsillectomy. I definitely got the better end of things, with not awful pain really ever. Day 1 (day of surgery): I honestly don’t remember much from this day, except that I was just exhausted the whole day after surgery. I don’t remember my pain being to terrible. Days 2-5: These were really only the rough days of recovery, and it wasn’t even really because of the pain. I just felt quite sick these couple days, I had a fever, and I just felt pretty bad because I had barely eaten anything. Although my pain was not awful and very manageable, it did still hurt to swallow quite a bit. Although, I did eat a burger patty on day 4 and a peice of pizza on day 5. Days 6-7: The worst days for pain, but this is when I finally started feeling much better. These days were when the pain medication started wearing off faster, so there was a longer time where it was more painful. This was expected though, because these were the days the scabs were coming off. Which I could actually feel, and every once in a while, it would be a really sharp pain in my throat for a couple seconds. I just took a drink of water and it immediately went away. Days 8-13: I pretty much woke up on day 8 and felt basically normal. My throat was still sore, but I stopped taking medicines around the clock and just took ibouprofen on the morning which helped for the whole day. From then on my pain just started getting less and less each day and I was pretty much able to eat any food starting day 8. It general, the pain was not as bad as I expected, the worst parts for me was the feeling sick the first few days and the only being able to eat soft foods for a little while. (I surprisingly got sick of ice cream) TIPS: -stay 👏 on 👏 top 👏 of 👏 your 👏 medicine!!!! It literally worked miracles for me, and almost instantly. Take the medicine as prescribed by the doctor around the clock, including at night, because as soon as you fall behind it is very hard to get back on top of the pain. -drink water. Water is important to heal the wounds by keeping them moist, so even if it hurts it’s important to get liquids. -ice packs! An ice pack on my throat helped a lot, especially right before you eat because it will make it sort of numb -eat real food as soon as possible. Even if it takes four hours. Cut the food into tiny little bites and chew really well, then swallow with water. As soon as you can eat real food, you will feel much better! -other things that helped was a humidifier for night time, and sleeping!! In general, it was not the most horrible experience as long as you do the right things to take care of yourself. The time actually went by super fast for me, and it was definitely worth it because I already am noticing improvement! You got this guys stay strong you will get through it!!
My throat is not on fire. I have no headache no ear ache just some tinnitus off and on. I worked out four days a week for months prior to this. Could have affected my recovery :) I could talk right when I got home
I had a very similar experience but I would choke on my own saliva and water for the first 4 days. It would go up my nose. I didn’t eat anything for those 4 days and ended up in the ER on the fifth needing IV fluid. Currently on day 13 and still can’t eat without shedding a tear. Please tell me it gets better bc I’m over it 🥴
Thanks so much for posting this! Could you maybe explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that freaks me out!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!
Ik I might be a little late for you, but I can share my experience with the anesthesia! I got another type of medicine in the pre-op room, which basically just made me feel less nervous and kind of relaxed my mind. Definetly recommend if they do that! It made me kinda giggly. Then in the actual operating room, I just remember them telling me my face would feel hot for a second, although now that I think about I might be imagining that lol. From what I remember, I think my face did feel hot for a second, but before you know it your in the post op room. The next thing I remember was drinking a slushy and the nurse was saying welcome back haha!
i got my tonsils out in seventh grade and after 24 hours was rushed to the ER because my surgery was botched and i was coughing up blood clots. girl i feel you this pain was horrendous i was in bed for 2 weeks
Oh my goood I had mine removed 8 days ago and I also SEVERELY underestimated how painful it was gonna be 😭 I was literally given fentanyl after I woke up.. mine were huge as well and I had chronic tonsillitis but everyone told me it wasn’t gonna be bad at all but they all had theirs removed as kids when the tonsils were small and they barely remember it so ofc it wasn’t as painful as my experience 🥲 I am only now starting to talk lol, I’m glad I’m not alone in this pain 😭
you cant talk for how long after this? was the pain comparable to tonsillitis/scarlet fever? im just trying to understand how bad the pain will be. ive had really bad scarlet fever like the kind where you can barely eat/swallow but worried this will be worse. idk if i need the surgery, but ever since i "recovered" from scarlet fever it came back, ive had to eat tons of pills but it never really went away, my tonsils have always been bad but they dont seem to be going down this time, they are enlarged and its been like 3 months since i "recovered"
@@coolpumpkins453 i can only speak for myself but i had chronic tonsillitis before i had the surgery.. in 2021 i had tonsillitis for a month and i never really recovered from that which was why i decided to remove mine. i don’t know if i’ve ever had scarlet fever so i can’t speak on it but the pain is kind of like tonsillitis but bc mine were so big, the pain wasn’t just in my throat but along my jaw, mouth, my entire neck and head. i’ve had endometriosis surgery and cross linking surgery on both eyes, both considered painful surgeries, but to me this one was the worst pain wise. but im allergic to morphine so i wasn’t fully relieved of the pain. i couldn’t speak properly for about two weeks and could only eat ice cream and cold soup.. it’s COMPLETELY worth it to me though, even if the surgery and recovery sucked so bad
So sorry prayers for a speedy recovery. I never got mine out because my doctor was worried my infections would go to my heart if they took them out. I had a lot of tonsillitis when I was young. Glad you got yours now . The older you get it is more dangerous. Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving day 🦃🦃🦃🦃🍁🍁

I'd be glad to answer any specific questions 😄
i'm on day one watching this lol i'll say how my recovery's going!!
day 1: i got them removed today and it doesn't hurt that bad at all really i'm just drinking a lot of water but i can like feel it in the back of my throat like the tonsil remains ig?
day 2: it actually didn't hurt at night and i slept well last night but it hurts more then yesterday, i'm only on day 2 but i'm just so ready to be done with this!! my neck and cheeks swelled up a little bit but not terrible and i've been trying to keep hydrated and i didn't lose my voice but it hurts to talk so i haven't been talking
the things that help have been soup , water , sprite and wendy's frostys!!
day 3: morning of day 3 the pains significantly worse and my mouth tastes terrible, later on i ate mac and cheese and a little bit more real food. hot showers really help me
day 4: I feel sm better! i don't know why or what happened but my throat feels a lot better even though it still hurts but my ears have started hurting a little bit, i really just feel like i have a cold and i've been taking a bit less medication, eating still hurts tho and going outside helps!
Please continue 🥹❤️ tell us more
Yes please... day 5, 6, 7...
PLEASE tell me more! also have u ever had scarlet fever or just had bad tonsillitis, and was the pain comparable to that? :)
@@coolpumpkins453 i had just mainly had a lot of infections with my tonsils and i got tonsillitis a few times! the pain is the worst on day 3 and 4 and then gets a lot better soon after that but it feels similar to bad tonsillitis and it also kinda feels like something's stuck in you throat. the things that helped me where going out side, drinking ice water and not talking much
When did you start using mouthwash and what mouthwash did you use
Omg I had my tonsils removed last year and the pain is real 😫
Girl I feel u❤ I was straight up mad at my parents for pushing me to get it done 😂
Did you have the misfortune of getting all four out (I did LOL)
And yeah the pain was the worst but for me maybe just for the next couple of days (I only had to use my pain pills for a day or two and then the rest of the week was simply Tylenol and Advil)
So I'm on day 10 , i feel fine - I'm back to work. Waking up it was pain level of 7, took my meds, ate some frozen yogart bars, lots of ice and water (even iced coffee). I swallowed my food on one side more than the other and the scabs look good, still thick on the other . Just relax, the worst was 1-5 days for me.
i am so happy i got this surgery done when i was 3. i’m 14 and i can’t imagine going through it now, also i still remember some memories of getting them removed and i remember them putting me to sleep, being in the room before surgery, coming home and i also randomly smell the medicine sometimes
i just had my surgery today, march 25, 2024, and im in so much pain. But i was so worried but watching ur videos helped me alot.
I hoe you are doing good. How was your Recovery? I am 25 and having then op after a week, i am sooo afraid
@@Eri-de7jw well thanks for asking today is day 9 and by day 14 I can eat hard foods, like chips and stuff, but I was very neverous before but the staff calmed me down. But now I’m doing so much better and this was pain but u will feel better at the end. I hope u have a successful surgery. And don’t matter ur age u can always be nervous.
@@Pretty.samie.12 O good to hear that the worst is gone for you. What tips would you give me, can i eat icecream? What did you do to ease the pain?
Thank you for your quick Response☺️
@@Eri-de7jw yes u can eat ice cream, mashed potatoes, oatmeal, and if u was to eat eat anything a little hard make sure u chew it a lot. And what helped me a lot is spending time with my family and this might see werid but I went out side and just be around family. Also a humidifier really helps too.
Definitely is different for everyone. I didn't speak for 8 days. Couldn't eat or drink for the first 3 days and couldn't swallow my own spit.
You have the best mom 🥺
Wishing you a fast and safe recovery. don’t forget to take care of yourself❤❤❤
Watching this rn cause I just got my tonsils removed and I also cried a lot, the pain is like no other. I’m going on day 10 of recovery. Thank u for helping me get through it! It was hard not to laugh 😭♥️
I’m going on Day 5 of recovery*^^ idk what I’m on. Oh yea narcotics
Moms are the best 🥺
Had my tonsils out on Monday morning! Honestly wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Its been the worst experience of my life. I know in the long run it will be worth it though!
I hope you're better ❤. Updates?

I am on day 5 of my surgery and I literally can not cry at all!!!!! Like if I even feel like I’m going to cry my throat tenses up and just stop crying. This has been the worse pain I’ve ever felt in my entire life. I regret getting this surgery so bad!!!!! I’m ready for the pain to end
You are me I also regret it honestly 😢. I'm on day 7 the pain is 8/10😢😢its too much painkillers only work for a while. My gums😭
Same 😭
The surgery is for your own good so don’t regret it because if you don’t get them out your going to have trouble in the future
@@Mr_Glawlol😅yees. I'm thankful I did
I’m on day 3 today.
I’m not feeling any pain so far, I’ve been staying on top of my medication. Taking it every 4.5hrs instead of the recommended 5hrs. And drinking as much water as I can.
I really hate tears especially on such a lovely girl🤗......get well soon😇 ......it will be fine ❤️
awww i’m so sorry that ur going through this, i got my tonsils removed a while ago and this is giving me flashbacks that i didn’t know i had 😭😭 feel better!!
Hey sister please tell me,, Did anything change in your life after you had your tonsils removed?
Ugh I got my tonsils out at like 23 years old and SAME, mine were HUGE and causing strep throat multiple times a year everryyy single year of my life lol - IT WAS THE WORST SURGERY RECOVERY EVER!! Glad you made it out ok girlie lol - you’re a rockstar!!
Did you get your normal voice ? How long did that take?
For me it took about a week and half, but I hear it can be a couple months for some people.
praying for you rn girly
i got mine out in the end of march, i watched soooooooooo many videos of vlogs. they said it would be horrible, i personally dont think it was that bad. i remember one night it was terrible, my jaw hurt sooo bad as well as my ears. the worst part was the iv and not being able to go to school and see my friends.the first time i woke up i freaked out and kicked the doctors like crazy. the sencond time i woke up i opened my eyes very slowly. the nurse asked if i wanted my mom and i said yes and almost cried, not bcus it hurt but bcus first of all i was still all woozy and weird, and second of all i was super scared. they gave me a popscicle and they took a minute for me to eat it half way and wheeled me out in a wheel chair.
Thank you!
Hope you’re feeling better & wishing you a quick recovery!
Aw I’m so sorry you were in so much pain!💛
This is my day 9. The pain is worse at night but it’s actually getting better.
I dislocated my knee dancing recently and that was the most pain I’ve ever had in my life!
On day 6 today I keep watching this types of videos to no think I’m not the only one with a different pain
I am on night of day 5 and everyday I have had no to little tiny pain, feeling great right now at the peak of the pain
I got mine out when I was 18 they were HUGE too!! And Black! It was the WORST pain omg I cried all the time. Couldn't drink or eat anything for days!! It felt like fire and needles poking me constantly!! Definitely awful
Yess! The black scared me at first hahaha
Omg how awesome!! I am so stoked you replied @myabenway !! Thank you! I love you and your family so much! I hope you get to feeling better asap!! Sending you so many healing vibes n love ❤️
You have the best mom!!! 🥹❤️😊
I get operated (tonsilectomy) 10 days before the pain is still there
But suggestion for all you about pain management is very simple
Just take half spoon of turmeric in lukewarm water and take it pain will disappear in 2 minutes
Can’t wait for vlogmas ❤️❤️❤️get well soon
I’m on day 1 , pain was bad as soon as I got out of surgery so they gave me oxy it is a lot better now still sore just took first round of medication. This video will help me through my recovery! I am about to have some scramble eggs
im also on day one. i finished surgery a few hours ago and i just took another round of medication. praying for a speedy recovery for the both of us!!

the doctor said i have the biggest tonsils they have seen too so twinnn💗💗💅🏼
Shoutouts to the hospital/surgeon staff for being patient and dealing with all this nonsense while they are trying to facilitate and care for other patients coming in for relief as well..
What nonsense? I think vlogs such as this can be helpful and insightful. She wasn’t in the way, didn’t carry crazy equipment in the room with her, and her sweet mom took over for the most difficult parts. No pranks or annoying behavior. Kudos to you two for doing this vlog. I’m on day 5 and I’m in a ton of pain right now so it’s good to know that what I’m going through is perfectly normal.
who hurt you lil bro?
I get my tonsils out soon and I've been told by my doctors that mine are giant so I've been nervous, I also got a breast reduction so I've been wondering how similar the recoveries would be. But thank you for being so real about it because now I'll try to prepare more for the pain
Praying for a fast recovery mya !! Love you!
When did you eat normally again? Bc I’m bout to down a cheeseburger on my literal 14th day 😂
I ate normal food around day 6
i watched this to mentally prepare myself and im in so much pain
My son is 5 and about to go get his out. I am just a momma freaking out inside and doing a little research and your video popped up so here i am
Mom is so cute she’s vlogging for you ❤️❤️❤️
Your moms so cool and chill.
Omg I go for my surgery next month on 12/19 😮 I was hoping to feel somewhat better to travel for NYE lol but it’s looking like I’m gonna be down for a while 😮… how long were you all off work??
I’m going in on the 9th. Good luck soldier we got dis😂🫡

amazing vidoe i enjoy get well soon pretty stunning queen
im officially on day 8 today and it’s been hell!!! hope to get my voice back soon! love you ❤️
how long does this take a to recover, im suspecting i might have to get the surgery😞
(I surprisingly got sick of ice cream)
TIPS:
-stay 👏 on 👏 top 👏 of 👏 your 👏 medicine!!!!
-ice packs! An ice pack on my throat helped a lot, especially right before you eat because it will make it sort of numb
-eat real food as soon as possible.
Feel better soon love ❤❤❤
My throat is not on fire. I have no headache no ear ache just some tinnitus off and on. I worked out four days a week for months prior to this. Could have affected my recovery :)
I could talk right when I got home
Hi Shorty, got me laughing dying😂
Oh my GOD the shedding process of the scarring was the WORST pain by absolute FAR! 😭
I just got mines removed and I want to give up the pain is unbearable. I started crying a lot 💀
Your mom is adorable
im here with you mya!!! Praying rn !!
I’m getting mine out soon, curious about the mobile nurse?! How did you find them? Was it worth it!?
I had a very similar experience but I would choke on my own saliva and water for the first 4 days. It would go up my nose. I didn’t eat anything for those 4 days and ended up in the ER on the fifth needing IV fluid. Currently on day 13 and still can’t eat without shedding a tear. Please tell me it gets better bc I’m over it 🥴
Did it get better?
I got mine yesterday my throat hurts so badddd😢
when i got mine out i couldn’t speak for days and i was just pissed off at the world lmao
i got my tonsils out in seventh grade and after 24 hours was rushed to the ER because my surgery was botched and i was coughing up blood clots. girl i feel you this pain was horrendous i was in bed for 2 weeks
Stop!! My worst nightmare
I would’ve sued their asses, that’s unacceptable that a routine procedure would go horribly wrong like that.
Hope you’re okay now
Same that's what happened to me
Oh my goood I had mine removed 8 days ago and I also SEVERELY underestimated how painful it was gonna be 😭 I was literally given fentanyl after I woke up.. mine were huge as well and I had chronic tonsillitis but everyone told me it wasn’t gonna be bad at all but they all had theirs removed as kids when the tonsils were small and they barely remember it so ofc it wasn’t as painful as my experience 🥲 I am only now starting to talk lol, I’m glad I’m not alone in this pain 😭
Stop I have to get mine out and they are huge as well I'm seriously so scared
I didn’t think they’d give fentanyl for a routine procedure like this
@@RYMAN1321 i’m allergic to morphine :)

idk if i need the surgery, but ever since i "recovered" from scarlet fever it came back, ive had to eat tons of pills but it never really went away, my tonsils have always been bad but they dont seem to be going down this time, they are enlarged and its been like 3 months since i "recovered"
Yesss hot stuff felt wayyy better when I got mine removed girlll we went through the sameee thingggs
So sorry prayers for a speedy recovery. I never got mine out because my doctor was worried my infections would go to my heart if they took them out. I had a lot of tonsillitis when I was young.
