Hi Sandy, it really depends on how much the fabric you choose to use shrinks. I suggest you cut a small strip 1/2" wide to start with and iron it then remeasure to see how much it has shrank by , this will then tell you what width you need to cut your usable strips at. yes it will still fit through the 1/4" sasher tool. good luck and enjoy making your bias with the Sasher.
