Hillsdale College is an independent institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific, [and] theological education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” As a nonsectarian Christian institution, Hillsdale College maintains “by precept and example” the immemorial teachings and practices of the Christian faith.
The College also considers itself a trustee of our Western philosophical and theological inheritance tracing to Athens and Jerusalem, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law.
By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.

A philosopher once pointed out that “the teacher should love his children better than his State or his Church; otherwise he/she is not an ideal teacher.” I think education will remain a contentious and essential topic today. The speaker has underscored the pressing contemporary educational issues we are facing today. The modern technology today has created illiteracy and unemployment that can’t be resolved only by a “lifeboat.” An excellent teacher knows what to teach, how to teach, and how to improve.

Larry Arn is one of the educators who stand out as giants of the art of stirring intellectual curiosity. He, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Jordan Peterson, and too few others, are men whom anyone fortunate enough to have interactions with...will one day look back and realize the rare gifts they received from such men. An old proverb state’s it well...”a child’s life is like a piece of paper, upon which, every person leaves a mark”. We should all be mindful of that simple admonition and nurture rather than indoctrinate. Always a pleasure to listen to such people as these. 👍👍👏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Very wise comment from the beautiful bearded gentleman😉. For most people with the move forward, find a solution and work together thinkers there is so much to loose, hard work so they would not be in the positions most of this people out on the streets destroy.g everything are, with all this time in their hands to just waist and since there is in their minds, nothing to loose...well let's destroy the house we live in because we are bored. Very hard and yes, it is much easy to be peddling others to do something that just do it. Also I agreed as my opinion too that we now have to pay, unfortunately, for the previous generation mistakes.

The public needs to familiarize itself with the GOP sponsored Morrill Act of 1862 and begin to understand the intent of congress for public lands donated to the states for the formation of the public school system. Engineering, Sciences, and Farming in the day. The circus we see today is a direct violation of that original intent of Congress to provide affordable education to the middle and working classes. Critical Race Theory is not only racist and Marxist, but it is unconstitutional and a direct violation of Title VII of the 1964 Civil rights Act. The average compensation in Cuba for a teacher is $318 per year American. Most of our teachers in the public sector are not worth that much. Activism and ideology are the cancer of the system and must be eliminated by using the above mentioned acts as as the basis of active lawsuits in the court system. Put educators back into the system. Before it is too late for the Republic to survive.
