  • A lecture delivered by Dr. Larry P. Arnn at The Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship of Hillsdale College. This lecture took place on December 2, 2011 at The Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center in Washington D.C.
Historians today commonly claim that the Constitution of 1787 marked a break with the Declaration of Independence of 1776, even speaking of two foundings. This is both false and destructive of liberty. In fact, the principles of the Declaration command the arrangements of the Constitution, and the arrangements of the Constitution embody the principles of the Declaration. It is critical today to regain an understanding and love of the unity of these two grand documents.

I just read this book. While the video is great at summarizing it, definitely read the book if you want to go more in depth.
All Americans need to become acquainted with these principles!

It's always nice to discover a relative that has a very important role in this world today it shows me that my family is not as troubled as one would have thought. that there is still hope for the own family in Kentucky yet. I hope that my niece is able to travel the path in which you have made yourself now I see where she gets it from. I hope that you are still and that university when my sister's daughter is old enough to go

The incident happened at a private event where Gov. Bill Lee and Dr. Larry Arnn spoke in front of an audience on the future of Tennessee’s education plan. In a video capturing the event, Dr. Arnn belittled Tennessee’s teachers, saying, among other things, “teachers are trained in the dumbest parts of the dumbest colleges in the country.”
What an EVIL person, and he is the dean of the college? No sad for the students.

Around the 54 minute mark, he mentions Federalist paper #73. Actually, it's #62 referring to the need of a Senate to prevent the House from adopting lots of stupid, temporary laws that will constantly be changed/repealed. His point in applying to the executive branch and the regulatory powers is still valid, but the context is, I think, important.

@4uIc Perhaps it should it be loaded with lots of sex scenes and cuts from "B" action movies? That might help to keep you entertained...

The syrupy emotional introduction - and its personal vaunting - are a real turnoff for me.
