- Clip 1: Los Angeles City Fire Dept. Rescue 5 responding from quarters to a difficult respiration at LAX Terminal 2.
Units due: Engine 51 & Rescue 5
Clip 2: Los Angeles City Fire Dept. Engine 5 (reserve engine) responding to FS5 to staff USAR 5 for a cliff rescue.
Clip 3: Los Angeles City Fire Dept. Urban Search & Rescue 5 responding from quarters to the cliff rescue in 48’s first in on Paseo Del Mar.
Units due: Battalion 6, Boat 1, Boat 2, Boat 5, Task Force 48, Task Force 85, Engine 5, USAR 5, Engine 101, Engine 112, Rescue 101, Rescue 85, USAR 88, EMS 13 and Air Ops.
Task Force 48 & Rescue 112 was able to handle one patient that was able to climb to the top of the cliff after a minutes-long search.
Clip 4: Los Angeles City Fire Dept. Light Force 5 (Truck 5 & Engine 205 (reserve engine) responding from quarters to a fall on 85th Pl. x Truxton Ave.

How is it that the fire station is a gated compound? Is the property part of the airport?
No, but FS5 does serve LAX along with 95’s and 51’s.
It surprises me that other than USAR 88 there is no other fully staffed heavy rescue in LA. Using these USAR task forces just seems like a waste of resources,
We have a “heavy rescue” at FS3, but it wouldn’t work as good for a cliff rescue as much as USARs do.
