Porsche has agreed to adopt Tesla's NACS plug starting in 2025 in North America, since its delayed why not wait a couple of months, big deal dealing with adapters.
imho, not ticking the premium package will hurt resale. It includes many features you’re already choosing à la carte so you need to look at the marginal cost. The stock audio is terrible and you want the LED lights.
It probably doesn’t have that much effect on resale. Use market you really don’t see what packages the car has. You just see a list of features. Features affect resale on Japanese cars more than German cars because trim levels are easier identify than individual features
As long as they're selling their cars within under a year, they wouldn't really take much of a hit. Probably zero down, maybe pay 7 months worth of payments and whatever depreciation occurs. It's actually a great idea.
Ice grey is a great choice. Yesterday, I test drove Macan 4 and it was in provence. The ice grey was in the showroom, and looked outstanding with leather in blackberry. Whereas, the provence looked somewhat dull in comparison. My order for rear-wheel drive is in ice grey, but leather is in chalk (crayon in UK). I wish I had gone for blackberry.
I've owned Jaguar, Lexus, Model S, and bought a Porsche Panamera earlier this year. Porsche build quality is AMAZING, great choice, Kathy. Looking forward to lots of Porsche EV content and less (boring) Tesla content.
Macan 4 Electric has a WLTP range (albeit on a generous side) of 380 miles, and the base model has a range of 399 So the difference is 19 miles I think the base rear-wheel drive is a better option if you are not really going off-road much and not tracking it. Also, in snow winter tyres are far more important than 4-wheel drive. Its 0-60 in 5.4 is plenty of power and it has enough torque. I think rear-wheel drive are more fun in general, particularly if you get a chance to really play with them and have the talent to go a bit sideways. The best sports cars are rear-wheel drive for a reason. Also, the base Macan will have the best turn as there is no electric motor assembly upfront, the front axle will weigh less and reduce some inherent friction from the steering.
Congrats. The amount of nickel and diming Porsche does for features standard on cars less than half the price is wild. Wouldnt be surprised if Porsche adds back in 1-Pedal drive next year...as a $1,500 option.
