Caste based reservation is good in Government Schools up to 12th standard. College onwards everything must be merit based. No government jobs should be granted based on caste.
So, you're telling me that caste discrimination doesn't exist once a person enters college and that his merit will be recognised as society turns magically into an egalitarian utopia?
No-one enjoying the fruits of reservation going to give up
No political party is going to request this.
Whatever higher state any family ( from reserved community) has reached, still they will look for benefits for the generation to follow.
I feel reservation based on income or economic criteria could be good, but impractical to impose.
Best would be to stop all reservations
It is not they are benefitted by resevatiom economically...it is to say if they got out from social discrimination.

i am watching Sai closely ... my view is as follows (please think) ... Sai says financial based reservations will leave the lower caste with unfairplay, as lower caste is with lower confidence. Even if caste based to be continued, the lower caste will have a stigma that they have grown so because of the 'push' only and not because of talent; which will make lower caste to continue to be in that lower confidence state...the financial based would rather treat all castes equal, though not immediately, but in due course will raise confidence in lower caste and a sense of equality. If we are thinking of eradicating reservation, then financial based (ie need based) would be a good approach
As someone who comes from SC family, can certainly tell you that we are confident to compete irrespective of our "push". Because we believe in our ability and done the hardwork atleast equal to what non reserved person does.

Then they should pay equal fees, Either they get a reservation in School, College or job, till certain generations, we pay tax & get blamed for the past as what they think is correct & trap us in fake ST/Sc act, I don't have a problem giving reservation for ST's this sc Buddhists folks are draconian & has ample of wealth & playing the laws of democracy as Ambedkar was their father,

Well said, if there's willingness from all sides, Reservations based on the Point based segregation will solve the issue permanently and Fairly.
logically if scheduled caste are poor than general category (which they are) the poor scheduled caste will benefit much more from economic reservations since the most general families are somewhat middleclass however caste based reservations only allow the rich scst kids to further become richer by not paying fees and easily get jobs while the poor peasant scst is just totally barred from enjoying any kinds of fruits as their kids lack basic education to even attempt govt job exams hence shouldn't we undo the caste certificate after one family has been stabilized and focus on actual poor scst kids instead of rich brats just taking advantage generation after generation

reservation does not provide confidence . hardwork in education does give you confidence. i don't think reservation is the solution to this guy's concern . who is this guy ?
I have difficulty in understanding how inter-caste marriages can bring social equality. It will only lead to tremendous burden on the couple and their progeny. Why to put unborn children at a disadvantage even before they are born ?🤔
The people enjoying the benefits of reservations will never give them up on their own. Never.
They need not to give up..automatically reservation will not be there if the percentage representation is achieved..
Why a SC or ST will seek reservation if 24 SC ST officers are there in all secratariate out of 100.

Giving reservation in education is understandable but not in other things like jobs.
Sai is correct...It has to continue in jobs also till they get their share in on secrateriates...

@@murugans-el8np the question we need to ask ourselves is how can we build confidence in people if we continue with the same policies and don't give them a fair chance? When individuals know that someone will support them, they don't work hard to achieve it, unlike those who don't have any support. It's important to remember that our ultimate goal is to create a society that doesn't discriminate based on caste, but our current policies are contradictory to that goal as they define and reserve based on caste, which is a harsh reality we should all keep in mind.
