      im sticking with LTWOO mech because of the future with parts no being available. its the soul reason i stay away from EBikes. once they start using rebular 9v or AA, id invest but until then, i would stay away from it.

      after one week of riding:
      1. missing clicks of handles. On a noisy road i cant understand if i pressed a button or not.
      2. need a fine tune for front derailleur. does anyone know how to enter it?
      3. multiple gears shifting is a super feature, but sometimes its terrible. I cannot catch timing to shift 2 or 3 gears.

    Enjoy, Great groupset, love the option of running 7-14sp, unfortunately my groupset the rear derailleur seized during setup, gutted.
    Wheeltop’s support was great but unable to resolve the issue so I’ve had to return. This is where the problems begin, if I could purchase/replace a rear derailleur separately it would be fine. Unfortunately the whole groupset has to be returned so I’ve opted for refund.
    Managed to get SRAM rival front/rear derailleurs with shifters for about the same price. This was without batteries/charger which I already have but at least I can replace a single component should issues occur. Now to make it work on an 11 speed bike 🤞
    Looking forward to the long term review.

    • @henrychungfitness
      @henrychungfitness  2 місяці тому

      Sorry to hear your rear derailleur seized during setup. Could you elaborate on how it seized? I’m wondering if it had to be set to initial calibration then forced all the way to the smallest cog to unseize it. I found I couldn’t move my rear derailleur until I did the initial calibration step again. Congrats on the SRAM groupset though 👍

    • @karlmoreton8182
      @karlmoreton8182 2 місяці тому

      @@henrychungfitness was working fine and it got stuck at largest sprocket. Watched a few of the video guides about re-calibrating but when selecting the arrows it wouldn’t move even though it was trying to motor.
      Selecting through shifters it would allow you to select 2-3-4-5 etc but wouldn’t move and would default back to gear 1.
      Quite gutted as I like the fact it’s mineral oil brakes, wireless and capable of just about any speed combination.
      It really is the inconvenience and time delay of returning back to china.

      Well I have managed to set up SRAM AXS rival to run 11speed, and it is pretty quite and shifts very well without compromise.
      Something I didn’t think would really work without the Wheeltop groupset, certainly the quality between the two is near identical.
      I must have just been unlucky.

    The problem with any electronics that are programmable through a mobile app is that if for some reason the supporting app gets discontinued you're doomed. I have a pair of Powertap P2 pedals and you can't adjust for crank length because the app can't be found anymore. Hopefully the apps for these groupsets will not get discontinued any time soon.

    • @pitsa9838
      @pitsa9838 2 місяці тому

      I just got an Ltwoo egr and tbh I didn’t even think of that. If these had some sort of shared platform/open source, giving the tools to the people would basically make these infinite. But these are china companies they can easily get acquired, and sold there by killing the whole project. I didn’t realize that these have a shelf life. I hope these become more user friendly, (I doubt it but) open source-ish, and continue to get support

    • @christosandreev6392
      @christosandreev6392 2 місяці тому

      @@pitsa9838 Friend this is exactly what happened to the Powertap powermeter pedals. They got acquired by SRAM and SRAM decided to kill the project. My old phone broke and now I can't download the app from anywhere since it is no longer available on the app store or play store. Tried to find an apk from somewhere but no luck. Now I'm stuck with powermeter pedals that can't be adjusted for any crank length. They were adjusted for 172.5 and I've moved to 165 so all power readings are quite off. This can happen to any electronic grouset not only Chinese ones. For example, battery standards will change over time and as a result in a few years you couldn't find any batteries that are suitable for your groupset (this includes Shimano, Campag and SRAM too). This is the weakness of electronic groupsets. They won't survive over time. On the contrary, if you had 20year old Shimano Dura ace and took care of it it still works well. Cables are universal. It is in general the case now that bikes aren't as "durable" as they used to be. The industry benefits more from selling shit that will go obsolete and your bike will end on the landfill. Prime example are proprietary components. Noting less sustainable than that.

    • @henrychungfitness
      @henrychungfitness  2 місяці тому

      That's a great point, we'll have to keep our fingers crossed that they support this long term. I believe even Stages Cycling even went out of business which is a Western brand for power meters.

    • @christosandreev6392
      @christosandreev6392 2 місяці тому

      @@henrychungfitness yes stages went out of business a few weeks ago. I actually own one. The good thing with stages is that you don't really need the app for anything except firmware updates, and they won't roll anything anymore. Therefore, it's safe for people owning stages. However, any tech that needs configuration via a mobile app is going to have the same fate.

    It doesn't matter if it's Shimano, SRAM, or a Chinese group, these electronic groups can fail at any moment just like any other electronic device. With mechanical you don't have that worry. I don't think they will last decades like mechanical can that's for sure. I am on my 3rd year with my DA Di2 group but so far this year I have only logged 600 miles. Haven't been able to ride much because I won't ride in the rain. It will take years before we can know if these Chinese groups are worth buying because none of those brands have been out very long. But for the money I would be willing to gamble.

      I usually don't ride too far from home, Mechanical can fail too from wire damage etc. I'd much rather have comfortable ,predictable shifting but not sure if this groupset is actually better than mechanical 105 so not changing yet.

      @henrychungfitness  2 місяці тому +1

      Great point and I'd also agree wtih you that electronic can fail at any moment. Atleast with mechanical you can swap a cable, but with electronic you're definitely taking more of a gamble. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to maintain this frame with integrated handlebar using 4 cables, so I jumped onto electronic to make things easier. For the price I paid, I'm hoping it was worth it!
