Alaska is definitely on my bucket list....one day. 🥰 I found your channel bc of the title ab losing your Mama, after I had watched the one prior to that one, of you being so excited to be bringing her back home with you.... I lost mine recently, and on one of my sleepless nights-of missing her, thinking of and talking to her, I felt she guided me here, and I am happy to be a new sub that'll be watching past vlogs, getting to know you, and your home - your love for Alaska. I am so sorry about your Mama...it's a club that nobody would ever choose to be a member of, but being with others experiencing the loss makes it easier some nights. You'll be in my prayers for safe travels and comfort while adjusting to being in a world without your Mama....it's as you now know, not easy. But with Gods Grace-we all will get through it one moment at a time, together! 🙏💛🙏
Hello, Stacey and Gary. When a person like me, had dreams when I was younger to visit Alaska, and for one reason or another, wasn't able to. I'm almost 70 years old (November 30th) and through you, my sweets and other young folks that have moved to Alaska, I've been able to see the beauty of Alaska from the comfort of my home. I know is not the same as in person, but i just make believe that I'm in the backseat looking at the mountains, the rivers, the wildlife. For that, i thank you. Stacey, my girl, stay strong, Gary I'm glad you are doing great. Thank you for been Stacey's strenght, God first of course. Hugs for the three Musketeers. 🥰🥰🥰
Great decision. Lived in Cassiar before it closed down and that highway is stunning driving south. When northbound, I found myself distracted by the scenery in my rear and side mirrors. Thanks for the enjoyable drive through BC’s northeast. I have driven through all of BC except the NE. Safe journeys 😊
Hello Stacey and Gary. So lovely to see you both smiling and moving forward after such sad times. I love how you guys are so tender with each other. Makes me smile with joy for you both. Thanks for sharing your journey home. I always love to see the dogs and especially how ‘fierce’ little Sophie is. Such sweet fur babies. Warmest wishes to you all. Cheers from Australia. 👏🏻🇦🇺
Glad you got a chance to enjoy the scenery and the hot springs. Safe travels the rest of the way to home. Sending love and prayers ...one day at a time.
I love you guys, I'm so envious of the relationship you two have. I sure wish I could be living that life. My heart goes out to you for having to return home without your Mom. You may be swimming in the hot springs, but she's walking on streets of Gold. I enjoy your video's you share with your fans. God Bless you be safe an I'll be praying for your journey home. 🙏❤️
Great to hear you had a good experience in Fort St John and got your motorhome tires replaced so fast. You were very close to the real mile zero of the Alaska Highway about 4 miles south. When you are as friendly and as positive as the two of you are it only helps to bring out the best in others. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip.
I just recently came across your channel and I have to tell you how impressed I am by your commentary! Stacey you sound like a pro! I’m sorry about you losing your mom. Thank the Lord you still have memories to cherish. Safe travels on your way back home.
Thank you. I was a TV-Radio major back in college so I am finally doing what I thought I would do when I grow up... the problem is I've never grown up. LOL Thank you again! 🥰
The tyre problem used to Run a lot of trucks specially around the same size a lot bigger as your motorhome get to same problem was some of the tracks could be quite new that the tyres would get flat spots. They used to have to go and get new tyres then go to a tire alignment place 😂they push with Jack and tied down and pull with chains And straighten the front Axwell that was what usually caused the problem. Be aware of it it was not a expensive process couple hundred dollars or something that’s in Australia quite a few years ago enjoying watching your program😄👍👍 have a good trip
Stacey/Gary, I found your channel during your hardest time, but am glad to meet you both, and have been enjoying your videos. Alaska is my “bucket list” wish, so looking forward to see the many sights/views of Alaska. So far it’s just breathtaking. Sending thoughts to you Stacey, hope time will help with your loss. Blessings to you Both and all of yours, safe travels❤❤
Awwwe welcome to the channel Jaz! It is definitely not how I expected for our channel to find people but EVERYONE has been so comforting in this time of need. Thank you for being one of them! 😘
Just beautiful you take some amazing pictures love it ! Love y’all’s videos! You should make a calendar of the beautiful places y’all have been! Put me on the list! 🤣Thank you for amazing pictures! God bless 🙏🏻be safe 🇺🇸
Awe thank you! We’ve tried calendars and they just don’t sell much these days but we have another great idea so stay tuned. We will be announcing this soon on the channel. 😘
So Beautiful. I have had some down falls in the last 3 years and from a healthy active person gone down hill. Might have to have a hip replac ment. We miss our travelling. You two do my heart good watching the beautiful country side. I hope I can go to Alaska oneday. Those wonderful hot springs. How much I would enjoy them. Oh to go swimming again, and get about. Not very mobile at all at the mo. Thanks so much guys you have made my days much better.. Safe journey home nowxx
Stacy you are a very good orator on the information thru different areas of not only Canada but Alaska as well, thank you . Glad you stop to get your motorhome fixed Had that happen to us going thru WV ( in the winter our tire was frozen on ugh) found a very nice young couple who ran a mechanic shop they even got us lunch. Continued safe travels Blessings to you both. 😊🇺🇲
In 2011 my mom and I drove back south in mid September and between the Yukon/BC border and Muncho we saw 11 black bears on the road, including a mama and three cubs that were munching on a dead bison right on the road shoulder. We were going to camp that night but decided to grab a room at the Northern Rockies Lodge instead lol.
Hello from co mayo, your stop in the hot springs was so deserved. Seeing you smile lifts my soul. Safe travels. Can't wait to see Alaska. Big hugs guys🤗
hey guys I was very nice video i love Hot Springs i always try to plan trips that I have to stop at a hot spring especially a natural one because they're so much fun. Looks like you got typical october british Columbia weather raining wet some snow or wet snow
Yes... definitely different compared to our usual spring or early fall transits. Luckily we made it through before any heavy snowfalls. Thanks for watching!
I'm new and thank you for your lovely channel. I'm sorry you are grieving the loss of your Mother and your journey is bittersweet. Thanks again for sharing. Have a as wonderful a time as you can. I am sure your Mother in Heaven wishes only joy for the both of you and the fur babies of course. Take care!
Liard Hot springs is such a lovely place. BTW, did you ever go to Ainsworth Hot Springs, not far from Nelson BC.? totally different, it is in a short system of caves, and a slightly cooler manmade pool, plus a cold plunge! We went there once after a day of skiing, did wonders for sore muscles!
How refreshing the Hot Springs looked...you both deserved it. Glad things turned out good with your tire situation! How is Gary doing since his surgery. Maybe I've missed a update... loved his red jacket ...would love to know the brand.. thanks for all your hard work you put into the vlogs❤
No. We found out biscuits and gravy isn’t a thing in Canada or at least in the North. We had breakfast with a friend from the Yukon and he said country gravy isn’t used much in Canada. So he ordered a chicken fried steak to get his American breakfast kick while visiting Alaska. 🤣
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. The RV did great after the new tires. The vibrations went away and got us home without any more issues. The song you asked about is called Drive, Drive Drive by Loving Caliber. It is from my Epidemic Sound Subscription Service.
We are waiting to hear back. They were going to send in for evaluation. If they will be covered they will reimburse us. But in the mean time we had to pay full retail on them which cost around $900 CAD. Ouch!
I just want to say, I absolutely love that you give the background and history of the places you visited. ❤
Thank you... as much as hate narrating I know so many enjoy it and without it... well to me can be too boring. Glad you like the stories I am telling.
Alaska is definitely on my bucket list....one day. 🥰

We were hoping to see a bear but I think they were highup in the mountain tops denning up for a long winters nap. Oh and I would have done the same! 🤣

That was a long walk to the springs, but it looks worth it. Safe travels.
Yes it was... hahaha but after all those miles traveling it did us some good to stretch the legs.
No we’ve only been to Fairmont and Miette Hot Springs in Radium and Jasper in southern BC and Alberta.
Just enjoying your videos
Glad you like them!
How refreshing the Hot Springs looked...you both deserved it. Glad things turned out good with your tire situation! How is Gary doing since his surgery. Maybe I've missed a update... loved his red jacket ...would love to know the brand.. thanks for all your hard work you put into the vlogs❤
Gary is doing great and got the all clear this week and his jacket is from Duluth Trading Company. Thanks for watching! 😘
Glad to hear about Gary… thanks for the info
Thanks for taking us along on this scenic adventure! Glad things are going pretty good for you. Did you get your biscuits and gravy?

Hi there from the netherlands
Hello Wilma! Thank you for watching this evening!
Hello I’m from Turlock California
Hello Pam. Thanks for watching the premiere with us.
@@LivingFreeAlaska I enjoy watching your videos and premiere when l catch them thank u for sharing
What does the bottom of the hot springs feel like? Sandy or mucky?
Pretty cool place for sure.
It is small pebbles or gravel. Very easy on the feet. Back in the tunnel area it got a little more silty but still not gross enough to freak me out.
I just remember sand.
Wow, so how did the RV do after the tire change? what music is that at around 12min?
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. The RV did great after the new tires. The vibrations went away and got us home without any more issues. The song you asked about is called Drive, Drive Drive by Loving Caliber. It is from my Epidemic Sound Subscription Service.
@LivingFreeAlaska oh nice, thank you!
@LivingFreeAlaska it was actually music before that song, if you could thanks!
If it was the one while we were getting our tires fixed it is called Dainty Day by View Points, also an Epidemic Sound subscription product.
Check out the Latitude 62 outside Talkeetna. (If it is still there)
It is. We’ve eaten there in the past when in town.
Do you buy the icons ski pass so you could ski there all winter❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
No... we don't ski anymore.
That's a long walk from the RV to the hot spring. What are you carrying for protection?
Unfortunately nothing. To be honest we should have had our bear spray with us but we didn’t.
@@LivingFreeAlaska stay armed, protected. Please. Such a lovely place!
Unfortunately in Canadian there are strict rules as to what you can “carry” to protect ourselves and bear spray is about the best we could have done.
Sophie, wildlife cop!
She is always protecting us from the animals. LOL 🤣
Were your tires covered by the warranty or did you have to buy them outright and if so how much did they cost
We are waiting to hear back. They were going to send in for evaluation. If they will be covered they will reimburse us. But in the mean time we had to pay full retail on them which cost around $900 CAD. Ouch!
Did they check the rims?
Yes. We had both front tires inspected and the rims were fine.
at least your able to wait in your home n can watch TV eat nap whatever lol
Did I miss it, or did you say if the tire replacement was under warrenty?
We dont know yet... if under warranty they will reimburse us.
gosh you could be either ones of theirs sisters lol
How are you doing today??
I am doing okay... just taking one day at a time as I work through this new normal.
they are licking salt off the road.
imo
I agree... many of the animals do that.
