I found your videos about a year ago and I just want you to know how much you have motivated and inspired me not only in teaching, but now with my health and fitness! You have inspired me to be more healthy with my life. I’m definitely not a runner and can’t be due to medical issues but I realize I can still walk or do other things to live a healthy life. I just need to remember some movement is better than none.

Hey, Michelle. I've found that getting a water bottle with one of those handles on the top and a flip up straw helps me drink more water. I'll find myself mindlessly sipping my water while I'm reading something and I'll drink an entire 32 oz bottle in about an hour if I don't pay attention. I never did this when I had one I had to sip out of or tip up. No idea why, but for some reason it works for me!

On another note...Wow! That teriyaki chicken recipe looks really yummy. Also love the morning protein shakes you make. I drink a similar shake every morning for breakfast with my Vega chocolate protein, almond milk, and I sometimes also add some cold brew unsweetened coffee (and PB Fit peanut powder but I’m currently all out). So yummy!
Thanks for the Meals on the Run recipe book recommendation and for The Girl Who Ran book. I’ll be adding those to my next Amazon order.
By the way, I also get super stressed out and anxious when the end of the grading period hits. It’s so much to do for sure! You are doing great! It’s great that you can reflect and allow yourself to feel. That’s important. You are so strong! And amazing! Keep it up!

I use chia seeds in my meatloaf/turkey breakfast bites instead of eggs/bread crumbs. Works so well,
My sister is a runner and she got a cookbook called Run Fast, Eat Slow (I think) and she loves it. Just a suggestion!!!
I really recommend the "Believe" training journal by Lauren Fleshman. It has helped me a ton! So much good information, advice, and other cool stuff!

One thing about the scrambled eggs... my mom always used just a bit of water instead of milk. It make the eggs more fluffy! You might want to try it the next time you have no milk! :) you are doing a great job at both work and running. Really don't know where all the energy comes from for you!

You should buy another water jug, keep one at school and one at home. Make it your daily goal to drink one at home, and one at school. That way you don’t have to tote the jug back and forth, and you’ll also get in all of your water!! 🙃
I always have to stretch or my legs get really tight. Also, I've heard pickle juice is good to have after working out (or running).
Bananas (potassium) will probably help your muscles. If your body is used to eating them daily or frequently and now all of a sudden you stopped eating them, you’ll feel it in the muscles.
+Pocketful of Primary so i started drinking from the same water mug. I have been doing better with it however, at night i feel like i get up at least twice to use the bathroom and now it messes with my sleep. Do you have a time of day where you stop drinking so much water? I know, weird question

I take potassium and magnesium supplements because I get dehydrated and it causes muscle cramps super easily! Like if I sweat and drink caffeine in the same day, I might wake up with a leg cramp. I haven't had a leg cramp since I started taking supplements!
Is the protein powder you used for weight loss? I want to buy a low carb one

I was on my way to a restaurant and there was a wreck with a car split in half and I am 10 and saw the guy i saw the guy in the car bleeding out. There were three cars 2 caught fire and then one was thrown. I want to be a nurse but I started crying. The next day they were still investigating. Then my T/Aunt was on her way home from seeing her son. There was a bad wreck the guys car was bad and the back door swung open and and a dog jumped out and then my T/Aunt looked and saw the guys foot in the middle of the road. She was very scared to see the guy so she didn’t go but there was someone there helping him. It is very said I am pretty sure both guys died and the dog is in a shelter.

I look at it this way...marathon running is something that is ultimately supposed to be a positive thing and is supposed to help better your life, right? So if it starts to feel like the training is becoming another job or is taking over your life- especially in a negative way- something is wrong. It's totally okay to take a break- even if you just need a mental break. Even though the marathon is the ultimate end goal for running you still don't want to miss out on all these moments with your students and in your life in the meantime; at least to me, that just doesn't seem worth it. You still have got to take care of yourself and you aren't doing your body or your mind any favors if you're forcing yourself to push yourself to the limit. That said though know that we're all here for you and rooting for you! No one expects you to be superwoman! And no one is going to be disappointed that you skipped a run or work out. Don't let those mental games get to you!
K I get what you’re saying but I feel marathon training is hard. It’s not always positive and sometimes in order to add something to your life, you have to push through those moments to get to the positive part. It’s a lot like life. It’s not always fun and you almost always have bad moments. I wouldn’t take a week off of marathon training. Maybe a day or two off when you have a lot going on and being flexible with runs and workouts but ultimately if you’re skipping multiple runs it defeats the purpose of training.
oh that's what I meant! Like if you're feeling pretty sick or hurt, or super busy with teaching I think it's easy to feel defeated if you need to take a day or two off. I think Michelle did make a really good point in having to learn to listen to your body...and know when you're just feeling down and out and you can push through it or when you really, really need to give your body a break.

I know this sounds crazy and a little extra but try putting a plastic straw inside of your jug because people drink more when out of a straw. It is scientifically proven

Hi Michelle , Try to get you some Flonase nasal spray and see if that works when you are congested or when you even feel like you are starting to get congested and I will say one for you .
Keep your eyes on the prize but take care of yourself . We are now in February so that is a little over 2 months until Boston .

They are pretty good. And the plain ones have no flavor. It almost tastes like popcorn to me. The white cheddar rice cakes taste a lot like smartfood popcorn

Town house tour?
i am a full time nurse and im a marathon runner. I am training for my sixth marathon in one month. I have a stressful job and i dont have time for anything much in my life. I understand the frustration and the hardships with integrating life and running. no one is forcing you to do this. take time for yourself. take a week off your training... its not going to hurt your progress. I run everyday.. I make time for it in my schedule.. if that means i wake up at 5 am to do it before work then i do. I am sore all the time .. its a part of marathon training.. try a massage or an ice bath when you get sore. You can do this you just might have to make changes to your schedule. GOOD LUCK

Fun I actually disagree? Taking care of yourself is the most important thing. It’s okay for her to have a hobby that takes energy away from teaching occasionally but makes her happier overall. She’s a full human being.
I also disagree. Taking care of yourself is more important than going to an extracurricular. If it was going to affect her teaching or planning for teaching then I would say that teaching more important. You have to have something you do for yourself so you don’t burn out.
