El salvador went from being one of the most dangerous countries with 50 murders a day to zero murders a day. All due to the president jailing all the gangs. In order to achieve this he had to use a revamped military. They act like police although they are a lot more heavy. The worst feels like it passed. However they are still in place to keep everyone safe.
