I wish people would explain what the process is doing inside the computer. How is it keeping the two accounts separated, is it creating a partition on the hard drive.

2:40 Have being using win10 for years and never connected to MS... And while they try to hide the option to do so in plain sight, it was never omitted.
On the other hand Win11 really tries to force you into connecting with a MS account by completely omitting the option to login without it, yet there are works around it.
How do you separate the desktops? My desktop is the sane as my other user. Any change they do on the desktop it changes on mine as well.
They need to be a completely new user.

Is there a way to have two users using the pc at the same time on diffrent monotors?
Question. We have 1 Base computer in the house for two of us. So would this added user (standard) have access to the Microsoft Office products if their installed under the main (admin) user ? Also, would the added user be able to access the main users files (documents, pictures, video's, music, etc) ? Or is there separate private folders, if so are their shared folders as well ?
Each user has their own private folder, however each user can access the installed office as well as use the printer. When setting both of those up if the PC ask to install for all users you will want to go that route.
I am using a second account on someone else's borrowed laptop, and want to download some info and a chrome buddysession onto either a file or notepad. Will they ever be able to see any of the private?(hopefully!) info I've downloaded? Thanks!

Does the two users have to share storage? If so, if I install two storage devices (like a m.2 ssd) will the two get their own?
They will both share the same space on the C: drive.

I have to share my pc with my dad for work and gaming, we set up separate accounts to sign into but if I add my games to my desktop they will add to his desktop and so on. How do I set my desktops so that they won't mess with his? Thanks!
Game Icons will do that, when you are installing the games, it should have an option to uncheck "create desktop icon"

If I was to create a local account without my email and then later on decided I want it linked to my Microsoft email will I be able to do this ? Will it then have my local account and Microsoft as one ?
Yes, you can always sign in later on.
Win 11 has a issue on mine with the second user where she cant open task manager and all the icons are missing on file explorer i cant figure this shit out

I was debating on getting my own PC or using my moms, and I found out that a PC is really expensive so thank you.
PC is very expensive right now due to the increase of cost in parts.
So if i add my microsoft account to my family laptop will i be able to have access to my pcgamepass games?
Should be able to, they still need to be downloaded.
So I have one pc which I recently bought and me and my brother will use it but if u set two displays you extend it so how will you like do this, because one display will be the main but I need them to be separated keyboard and mouse.
You can't use the same PC for 2 different people simultaneously. Unless you setup a VM system which shares the resources.

Relative has me troubleshooting HP 9015E not fully installing because printer does not complete registering. Have spent 4 days on phone with HP support. Printer does print and scans only using the PC app, not with HP Smart. Tried to install the complete 9015 sw but tech said it was already installed. Could it be that HP Smart is already installed on a profile and am trying to re-install printer on wrong profile (#2, the profile the relative has asked me to use)? Obviously, I am not familiar with profiles and how programs operate between Wins profiles. OS Win 10
Additional info. Short story. Relative known to use two profiles on PC when using Win 8. Now upgraded to 10. 9015e had been fully functioning for months on Win 10 before HP and I had to recently get involved. Printer would not print or scan. 9015e has repeatedly been (re)installed by HP through remote desktop on profile (call it #2 profile, possibly wron one) while I watched. After 4 days, I can only assume 9015e is fully functioning on #1 profile and we've been working on wrong profile this whole time. Again, not my PC, unfamiliar with Win 10, profiles - and how they can affect program installations.
Printers on Windows 10 are hit or miss. I always have issues with them working then not and needing to do the driver setup yet again.
But could it be that the printer might already be fully installed on 1st profile and 2nd profile has only some basic access?
Did the system files also got seperated when i use multiple user account (local) ?
The file system is separate from user to user.

You can install the program to be accessible for all users.

They will have separate desktops, folders etc. But will utilize the same disc.

If they are logged out it doesn't use any. If they logged in, they do take up resources.
