There's a reason they didn't show that fight. In case you haven't noticed, each of Shichikas opponents have a distinct fighting style, making for an interesting fight when he has to outsmart them and adapt to each fighting style. But from what we saw of Sabi's fighting style, he's just a plain old swordsman. It'd be pretty boring to be honest.
Ness Lucas Boring? Have you seen the preview of this battle? they also said in the next episode he has a lot of special techniques like chaning his sword shape and stuff. I wouldnt call him a plain swordsman.

I'm french, and it's not very very popular, but Katanagatari is one of my favorite anime, the first is Berserk, I agree what Riraito said, draws are beautiful, the ost is awesome, how can someone dislike this anime ?!

@@JC-ph3ku The author is Nisioisin, same guy who wrote the famous Monogatari series and the JoJo spin off called Over Heaven. He writes suvh intricate stories in fact that he is regarded by many as the modern Shakespeare
This anime is brilliant, which cannot be denied no matter how frustratingly depressing it gets. Even if we wanted a happy ending, Togame did reap what she sowed. Nevertheless, I feel that, even if she had survived, she would not have killed Shichika like she schemed. She did love him, so her love could have eventually overcome her grudges.
katanagatari had an excellent ending. the whole story led to that point and it's execution was pretty good. Deal with it that not every story ends with everyone being happy
I had to say I loved how original the story and art was even though you could sorta tell what was going to happen towards the end. The truth was that Ichika himself was the last and most powerful "sword" created by the swordsmith.

@xXDeathBerryXx thats most likely because the guy who does the rap parts for the Soul eater OST, Lotus Juice, probably was a part of this song as well.
Considering it is a light novel originally you cant really expect that there wouldn't be a plethora of dialogue or monologue though. I find the dialogue gives it something extra, ties it all together into one cohesive story rather than a bunch of shorts about struggling on the way to victory and one about destruction of said victory out of grief to bring balance or something.

I just finished the last episode of this anime, and despite knowing that it will have a sad ending I still liked it. definitely of the best animes
It's because the person who made the Soul Eater OST also made the OST for Katanagatari. So don't be too surprised if they sound similar.

katanagatari had some great tracks, but few can hold a candle to the genius that was nujabes.

Soul Eater's soundtrack was done by the same composer as Katanagatari's, so it's possible it's the same rap group.
