Finally, a great khan video that doesn’t make fun of them
Imagine motorcycle drive-by, and also re-learning archery.
Motor's and handmade crossbows
A motorcycle drive-by shooting arrows instead of bullets lol
@@theneocypher Sounds like something from a cult classic movie
Mad max roleplay😂
Might I introduce you to the white scars
Great khan calvary would be a huge advantage in the walking based transportation of fallout. Running circles around the NCR or Legion with rifles instead of bows.
Oh yeah, cavalry would change the game.
@@theneocypher 6 legged mutant horses
NCR also has horses, soldiers mounted on horses show up on Bittersprings in the all roads comic
@@lorddervish212quinterosara6 Wait There are actually Horses in Fallout?
@@Heisen2420it wasn’t canonical
as a member of the Oceti Sakowin or as the world remembers us as the Sioux I always wondered what my tribe and its allies would have done in such a world our reservations on the plains are pretty secluded and secure for the lack of resources which is also its downfalls as well
The language we use matters. Many of the terms used in the western world for tribes are outright pejorative. When I know what a tribe calls themselves, I will use the same language.
I feel great sympathy for the great Khan's
You and I both
@@theneocypher this would can give you a bad hand from the start it's only truer in the fallout universe...
@@theneocypher this would can give you a bad hand from the start it's only truer in the fallout universe...
This video is criminally underviewed. Very much enjoyed the breakdown of my favorite tribe of junkies! Please make more content, youtube needs more small NV creators.
Thank you so much! More content to come!
I always wanted a game with their khan empire or depicting the very beginning of it would be cool too like travelling north and maybe a spin on the fo4 settlement system where you conquer settlements etc to forge the empire
I know im super late to this, but i would love a fallout game set in montana, with the khans being one of the major factions, and the brotherhood having a small bunker there and playing a smaller role like in vegas. I would love the use if random generation like in starfield to allow for new forms of quicker travel like horses and cars.
That would be awesome!
The Great Khans are one of my favorite factions in the fallout verse
Lol, love the System of a Down in the background
I always thought the Khans were fascinating. My post-Hoover Dam courier headcanon is that after tipping the balance of power in favor of whatever side wins, he catches up with the Khans leaving Red Rock Canyon to head north with them. Ultimately settling down as an honored member of the tribe for his contributions, and maybe taking a wife.
Based fifth faction ending, the one and only "golden path".
In my fan faction I called this empire the New Khanate the Great Khans became a civilised tribe in that timeline
That’s such a good name!
@@theneocypher The New Khanate haves 2 neighbors those being the people of the Panhandle National Forest and the Flathead reservation, the first group based their society on the continental army with aspects of jacobinism and the second is a civilised tribe who for generations mantainesd its ancient traditions. The Khans maintain trade relationships with both groups tho their relations are somewhat tense due to mutual distrust
@@theneocypher Great Khan society had developed their own postwar religion based on the ancient ideals of animism and totemism with animalistic gods and deities who the Khan youths would had to be chosen by in something akin to native American trials
@@inzyniertv9305no one cares pal
Brother, as a Great Khans fan, I must read this fanfic!
It's sad that we will most likely never see a game which touches on this again. The amount of time it takes to make these games is now at the point where we might only realistically get 3 new fallout games in the rest of my life time
True, and we might never see another as good as NV
Never say never
I’m already imagining them popping up in future games within this context. At the least, can you imagine their armor and weaponry? Nomadic peoples, hunters, that stuff would look so cool and would kind of show how humans can adapt to their new world. This was a great video Cypher, and I appreciate the time and thought that went into it! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Glad you liked it!!
Hey man just want to say great job. Your videos is pretty dang close to how I would imagine the great khan empire would be like except you do a much better job of detailing it than I can keep up with these great videos
Thank you so much!
Why the hell is he playing system of a down at the intro!? Its awesome mang!
It fits the vibe 😏
In every playthrough, I save the Great Khans from the Legion.
Nice video ! reminds me of Fudge Muppet's video about the perfect Fallout Empire , I think it be interesting to see your take on a Fallout game set mostly in Legion territory
Thats a great idea! I definitely have to talk about that now!
It would be poetic justice that the Khans would find a new home and build a thriving empire and wash away the sins of their past while the legion declines and cannibalizes itself. The same simple tribals they sought to subjugate may even drive the final nail in the coffin
This was actually really informative and a strong factual analysis of real world "speculative" anthropology. Really quality content! Gotta have like at least 9 INT and some solid skills in you brother
Thank you so much!!
I've always imagined what the Khan's new empire would be like and this is a good representation.
your videos are amazing man cant wait till you start doing big #’s
Thank you!
Love your videos, man. Keep it up!
Thank you so much!!
Someone needs to make a New Vegas mod where you play as a new initiate in the Great Khans. You play as a relative nobody, but because new lands bring new opportunities your actions can influence the tribe and its relationships with the locals eventually leading you to make some really big choices
This is the outcome I want for the Great Kahns in NV. I don't believe that they were evil, I don't believe they are guilty of what the previous iterations of the tribe did.
The NCR attack was in retaliation because they kept attacking their citizens. I don’t know what the Khans were expecting-they’re not a threat to a nation. And by the start of the game, according to Papa Khan, they’re still attacking them
Thanks for the video. HOI4 OWB just came out with a patch that include the Great Khans as the Northern Khans.
Nice! I’m currently doing my first play through of it as Caesar’s Legion and getting absolutely stomped 😂
I swear I heard the song just from looking at the thumbnail.
Sweet! That’s my goal! 🤘
@@theneocypher I still remember how fascinating and mistifying it was the first time I saw the sign of the great Khans when I was playing new vegas on the 360. Thanks for sharing bro. You got me fired up to play it again.👍
I could honestly see a Kahn empire that stretches from Des Moines to Omaha, Sioux Falls to the Twin cities, the Black Hills to Gillette, the Tetons up into Helena and back east through Montana. A nomadic tribe that lives off the land, and uses legs to get things from a to b makes the lost sense to thrive in the harsh and unrelenting section of the US that is Wyoming Nebraska North and South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.
If you take out the NCR in Nelson Papa also names you his successor. Become independent and the Khans could very well get New Vegas itself after he passes.
“There is only one God in Heaven and only one Great Khan on Earth” as the Mongols say.
Love the Khans! Love this video!
Yeah something I always pondered was what if horses still exist in the Fallout universe but in more isolated areas such as in states like Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Which eventually the Great Khans could rediscover and redomesticate
really enjoyed this video youve got some great ideas
Thanks so much!
Yoooo I knew it!!! Form the first flute note hahah.. sweet System of a Down reference lol 😆
🤘
Never thought I'd recognize that song
Maybe Great Khans would become a more successful empire than Legion?
It’s possible!
I'd honestly love to see more of the Great Khans in Wyoming, as a thought provoking third option, Horses and motorcycles and other vehicles could become a mainstay of their growing empire. With motorisation taking time to develop enough mechanics and a spare parts manufactoring process, horses could still fill the gap for their empire. And prove useful in stretches of land where there are no viable roads, which would spell doom for even the sturdiest vehicles during prolonged use.
7:28 Hey, I've seen this one, it's a classic!
That video is my favorite live action Fallout fan content of all time lol
What's that chime in the beginning? It sounds snazzy!
That would be this intro to this song!
ua-cam.com/video/qNG7H0r2-SE/v-deo.html
Intro song is "Arto" by System of a Down
Your player in khan gear looks like hungry box meets chewbacca man.
At 1:16
they could never make me hate the great khans
The hidden track from toxicity 😂
A viewer of class, I see 😏
I noticed it too!
I’m currently doing a legion playthrough my character idealising the khans from his first encounter when while scouting and working as a courier his tribe is destroyed from being in khan territory. Only assisting the legion to finally destroy the NCR seeing Caesar as much of an enemy as the republic the khans to forge their empire but also ally with the boomers power gangers to also establish a ammunition trade
😂😂 imagine if they would use bikes like it makes sance but still every funny 😂
I wish the Nuka world raider were more like the khans or the legion.
Same
The disciples blades are good but that’s about it. They have no real loyalty to the sole survivor.
hear me out. securitron mounts. New vegas gives the player the option to be named papa's heir and if you combine that with the independent ending it makes this possible.
I'd like to think if the khans moved north that they would have to deal with Mormons trying to convert them to the faith
If any are left after the White Legs massacre of New Canaan lol
Is you sounding like Ulysses intentional?
Nope! That’s just how I sound
I always liked the great khans. The NCR are wimps, and have an insanely boring questline, but I feel so bad for the Bitter Springs massacre.
The Bitter Springs massacre is truly tragic
@@theneocypherEspecially the way Papa describes it.
@@MyDogDoingStuffIG The NCR attack was in retaliation because they kept attacking their citizens. I don’t know what the Khans were expecting-they’re not a threat to a nation. And by the start of the game, according to Papa Khan, they’re still attacking them
Chinghiz khan will invade U after seeing this 😂😂😂
It be pretty damn cool if this was in a setting of a new fallout game (maybe the legions remnants after the second defeat of Hoover dam decided to change route and invade north and battle against this new power of the great Kahn’s
