This is the very first time I have heard about reverse marketing, and I am very intrigued after watching this video. I like how the video explains the deep link between ads and the business objectives through the growth equation.
We are glad that you liked it :) To answer your question - the sharper the better.. and hence in practicality, brand should be going after 1 business objective only via 1 communication. If you come across any example which represents multiple, then do share with us what you think about those. Would love to reverse market those :)
I think growth equation concept can be better understood by applying with live examples like for example for example i had a brand new toothpaste manufactured if i substitute with growth equation Total available people=100000 * 1%of people consume =1000 * How often they consume=1time * Awoc=5grams =50,000,000 (size of a brand /category)???
This is a beautiful technique! But dont you think that decoding ads later is a faulty method as we are assuming that the brand team did the right thing? Because not all campaigns might be done well. E.g. current CRED campaign - how do we decode whats happening there?
Lalit, thanks for asking this! Decoding marketing strategies is a great way to get familiar with the concepts. Ths is not about one ad in isolation. It is about doing this over and over again to get good at it. So while some ads will not make sense to you, but overall this technique will definitely get your mid working :)
