Enlivens my spirit about 40k in the same way trad Dungeon Synth does with fantasy. Modern fantasy and 40k can be pithy, throwaway, even cartoonish at times with empashis placed on characters, humour, self-referencialism, spectacle, and progress. Music like this reminds us all about what a reality in that world would feel like; severe, grand, austere, and expansive.
I always thought 40k would lend itself really well to Martial Industrial, but I wouldn't have thought about Dungeon Synth. This is incredible! Great work, man!
@@WellandJoyceArtist probably glorpy and plorpy with grit and grissle mixed into random sequences that sometimes sync up to make melodies and then fall back into chaotic scibbles
OMG I'm only 0:26 seconds in and it's a feeling, a fricking feeling of the old grim dark, the toil, the sacrifice, the fact the we are just dust in the stars. Amazing!
I appreciate the contrast of the lighter tone of Afternoon nap on an Agri-World immediately followed by the spooky and haunting Space Hulk tracks. A lot of nuance in this!
Thankyou so much !@@TheCombineOverlord The 40k universe is a very nuanced and varied place, so I tried to give a broad but immersed view of some of these locations. Very grateful it came through!
14:30 *shiver* Why oh why would you want to disturb the ghost of the Sin of Damnation...that memory puts ya two more steps towards the black rage. 16:31 The walls are beckoning...become one with the Four Armed Emperor.
Really good stuff! Has that classic dungeon synth vibe and very ambient structure to it all, but the sound is a lot darker and a lot more artificial, which perfectly fits the 40K vibe. It kind of reminds me of the original Quake soundtrack by Trent Reznor. Can't wait to hear more stuff from you. The Emperor Protects!
The Emperor Protects! MOre to come for sure, and Trent Reznor is great, his more industrial and ambient stuff is definitely an inspiration for me. Glad you enjoyed it!
I don't know why but I've always associated both certain dungeon Synth as well as Berserk's soundtrack with the planet of Caliban. A game taking place there in 30k prior to the emperor's arrival would be awesome.
Well this album is way better than the second other warhammer inspired one. Although the cover artwork is bad compared to the kneeling space marines but the tracks of this compilation are superior.
Thone, That first track is incredible. That must've been what made me think of Berserk. I keep coming back to it. How did you think of that daemonic screeching sound?
The God machine refers not to the "machine God", but to the "God-Machine" which is another name for a Titan. Nevertheless I see no reason why an artist called Astra Telepathica, which is a reference to the 40k universe, can't make songs about things related the adeptus mechanicus, a faction not only in 40k but undoubtedly a subfaction within the same faction the Astra Telepathica is a part of.

true art. without any words the music tells a story. sometimes the titles help, sometimes we don't need the titles.
I’m very proud to share a comment section with you guys. Emerging from the warp! Bow to the forces of Chaos
Interesting take on dungeon synth. The grimdarkness of the far future is a setting that lends itself pretty well to something like this.

Agreed on both. Shame that martial industrial seems to be even more niche genre.
I have waited so long for Warhammer dungeon synth, this is amazing - thank you!
Thankyou for your kind words! More to come for sure!
ORK SYNTH ? next ?

Music as a portal to fictional settings or distant time periods(past or future) is always enchanting. This is beautiful. Thank you!

Scolastica Psykana is a masterpiece. You would have made a great composer for the 2000 Deus Ex soundtrack.
