A lot of the comments are rightfully gushing over the beautiful music, but I haven't seen a lot of talk about the aesthetic of these tracks. Most of the song/album covers are nature themed and dark. Lots of red, tan, and black isolating the subject of the picture. The most notable exemption from the color pattern is The Elderwood Guardian (my favorite album) with the grass green background and white objects. However, these all give me a slightly uneasy feeling, like I'm somewhere I'm not supposed to be. The music absolutely adds to this vibe, but the cover art is what primes us for the experience. This is all to say that I adore the cover art. I'd like to have a poster of The Elderwood Guardian on my wall, I enjoy these that much. Keep at it Witch Bolt. I can not wait to hear (and see) what you create next.

Good question. There's no specific school or style I'm trying to emulate. My inspiration has been fantasy, the occult, and medieval tarot cards made with woodblock prints. I spoke with a friend who knows more than me about visual art that said a good approximation would be high-fantasy in the style of folk horror 🤷 .
