Exclusive access MAXXIS tyre strategy | ProMX Championships, Queensland Moto Park

Welcome to Queensland Moto Park for round 7 of the 2023 Australian ProMX Championships. The #MAXXIS backed Raceline Berry Sweet Husqvarna Racing team grant us exclusive access to shadow the team as they prepare for race day.
The 1.75km circuit quickly produces challenging conditions on race day as riders deal with a mixture of sand and topsoil over a clay base. The track is known throughout the paddock for holding moisture early in the day, before baking out in the afternoon Queensland sun. Under these evolving conditions and with the racing line becoming harder packed, the choice of tyre compound is crucial.
Riders will select a tyre compound (see below) for a fast-qualifying time and keep a new set ready for 2x motos. Riders can mix & match their tyre selection throughout the day based on the changing track conditions.

Tyre Compounds:
• MX-SM = Sand & Mud Terrain
• MX-ST = Soft Terrain
• MX-SI = Soft / Intermediate Terrain
• MX-IH = Intermediate / Hard Terrain
