We had a company near us years ago which was a yard for the big earth movers in quarries. one afternoon there was such a boom... I believe men were welding near a tyre which exploded killing 2 or 3 men. i'll never forget that sound.
Congratulations Flo. Hope mum and baby are well. Would be good if you had another internal backup operator to cover for flo. Terry is bang on. That water tank will need to be a minimum of 18ft unless you get a 50lpm pump

The frame of tyre cage should be alot stronger. When a tyre of lorry blows in there all those little metal bars will just blow off and cause more damage.
Does that tyre cage not have to be certified we had to change the one in the workshop I worked in the insurance and health and safety didn't approve because it wasn't certified if a tyre does blow out you could be in trouble
a recommendation is to remove the cage immediately because if it is not marked as CE and someone is injured by it in the event of an explosion, there may be a hefty fine.
Young Automotive Direct sell them very much like the one that Daniel has had made and they cost £1k. thats their entry level one but the next one up has mesh covering the openings snd looks much stronger.
You could find the rebar impaling the tyre fitter if one does blow in it, making your own tyre cage is a recipe for disaster especially as safety equipment isn't what he specialises in, the guy will be lucky to escape severe prosecution if someone is killed by this when a tyre does eventually blow, which boggles the mind further given he did the corporate manslaughter video not long ago, thought he knew better.
Thank you daniel. I work in a builders merchant i find watching you makes my confidence at work to be successful and make money. Your an inspiration thank you
What are you talking about, most comments on here are from the UK and positive, anybody who goes on the internet will get negative comments, its the nature of the beast.
It goes to show how valuable time is to the guy who visited Daniel when he can fly down from Yorkshire in a hele worth somewhere between £1million and £1.8million. Those Augusta a109e power hele's travel a top speed of 285km/h and the chap can work during the journey just like he could in a car with a chauffeur yet with the shorter journey time, he will arrive at his destination whilst still feeling refreshed. The fella must be worth some serious money to fuel it and pay the pilots wages, plus heles depreciate with every mile they fly. I really enjoyed the helicopter aspect of this weeks video, they're something that I'm really interested in, plus seeing HS2 from above...I saw a recent aerial photo of if but hadn't realised what it was. No wonder people were up in arms over it as its a truly massive project, especially when you think of it in it's entirety, so many area's demolished to make way for it.
Wow thanks for the info didn’t realise how expensive that hele was. And Yh he must be worth millions to afford and operate that didn’t realise they depreciate that much
Many businessmen do. A fixed wing licence is more for pleasure unless one plans to take it further as a career pilot whereas hele licences are a fantastic way of getting from A to B for business meetings without traffic or stress. The journey Daniel did starting in Sheffield and then working his way back to West Drayton was so time consuming and then on the final stretch there was a delay due to a road incident when he could have just gone over the top of it all.
I think you seriously need to rethink the tyre safety cage and needs to be of far stronger steel construction and securely fastened to a fixed surface not on wheels... Roll the tyre to the cage when needed
mate, if you have a whiteboard by the jump pack, and have everyone write down what machine its being used for, what date, and if its a machine fault or driver fault(lights left on etc.) you could do TPM on batteries or other machine faults easily,
The steel for the tire cage should be flat pieces about 3 to 4 inches wide. The wheels are not going to work. An explosing tire does a lot of damage an it will rip that rebar off.
That tire cage will not work... from experience. I recomend some 3inc tubes for tire cages. Have you ever experienced a tire explosion that thing is violent. Please that cage will cause more harm than good 😱
@@jaymitchell1181 I don't think you should be making your own safety equipment... The reason you buy something purposefully made for it is because it has been tested to check its limits and capabilities, it is approved, and it won't cause you problems with insurance and the courts when or if someone is injured by it. People wouldn't dream of making their own hard hats, harnesses, safety boots, etc., why this?
Dan mate, it’s your own fault you don’t have a back up for Flo, can’t expect that the guy is always gonna be in without fail. He’s been the only qualified person for a while now. Level up.
Suggestion. If you pipe in the tanks together (bottom connection) putting a check valve none return side on the smaller tanks they can't over flow from gravity. No second pump required. You will be pulling from the big tank until it has same head pressure with smaller tank and then use water from both. The pump supply will have to be piped in the middle of the two tanks tho. And seperate full lines with floats for each tank 😅 I plumb my home like this with different sizes tanks
The train at the beginning wasn't a waste train, it was a bottom discharge stone/aggregate train. The locomotive is owned and operated by GBRF and is painted in Biffa colours as a customer relations exercise
I have a feeling that the cage will not be strong enough to withstand a blowout. Perhaps get blowout bags. It's a lot safer than a cage or buy a proper made one 🤔

TBH, Daniel, that DIY safety cage is looking a bit anemic for the purpose of containing an exploding truck tire/tyre. Have a safety engineer sign off on the design and build to protect yourself from liability in case of the worst. In fact, why not just purchase a purpose made cage and set the issue aside properly? This isn't the sort of thing where bodging up a thing from used parts will serve you in the long run. All the best.
