Have you seen that they pushed Zegler to do a staged interview with Halle Bailey (Little Mermaid), where it was evident she had to show herself with a very different attitude compared to that previous notorious interviews, talking about SnowWhite and more...obviously she's playing the victim card now, and essentially didn't even apologize for her old behavior, simply a little more subtly, tried to blame fans again.
I guess TPTB tried to put her case on the same level of Halle's own backlash, but that didn't fly for me...
Disney should have cut ties with her a long time ago and now it's too late, thus they'll pay the price of their lack of respect for fans and their own legacy as well.⚰️💩

In Africa there is the legend of Mami Wata., and in other traditional religions, water spirits and gods. It makes no sense. But the backlash against Rachel is because, well, she's not nice and it shows. Yucky attitude and she doesn't fit the role. Because SNOW WHITE is WHITE. And a mermaid can be any culture.

Yes and no. Dinklage did do a lot of work so little people are not only cast for little people roles anymore. And while that is a good idea and props to him for it, it does not mean he should hold back other little people who still DO want to play those roles. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is a story revolving around 7 little people. That should not be changed and Dinklage is wrong about stating we should move away from the image. He is right though that other roles should also be available for little people. The thought is good, but the execution is a little questionable. I would love to hear the general input of other little actors as well.

I never said I liked the Zegler version. You should work on your reading comprehension. I said that both versions were gonna suck. As for acting, Zegler might be some egotistic, narcissistic, entitled PIA, but she can actually act. And she's good at it. I loved seeing Lily Collins in the Snow White movie she was in and would love to see Lucy Hale's and Brett Cooper's version of Snow White especially if and when Disney say Lucy Hale will star in it

It's a classic story that kicked off the company in animation (also saved them financially) and has been beloved for decades across generations. My parents weren't even alive when it came out, but me and my siblings watched the original as kids, and now my brother has watched it with my nieces as it's a story that stands the test of time.
Disney really don't know what they've lost with all the live action remakes, as makes me laugh to think that like in 20yrs time my niece's would be watching the original with their kids cause like F will anyone be talking about whatever they manage to put out if they don't drastically change things

My absolute favorite is Belle from Beauty and the Beast and partly due to how she looks and how I look. She's French, I'm French. She loves books. I love books. She doesn't care about looks yet she's beautiful and finds true love through a beast and not Gaston the town hunk that's a moron! Snow White is a beautiful story and a beautiful woman and adorable friends and forest friends and her true love. We don't need to make women or young women feel like they need to not look for love or want to say that men suck therefore we should take over everything and love is pointless. Everyone should want love whether it's love from a parent or friend or true love! That's what I consider Walt Disney to be. Love and happiness and you get the happily ever after even though there were struggles but you still get it. Peter Dinklage does not even know the story well, as the Dwarfs lived in a lodge and not in a cave. They only worked in a cave as gem miners. Peter says 7 dwarfs are offensive to use, however, he is a dwarf. Peter was totally wrong in his assessment.

It sure seems like that. Having a sister that has a major disability, I can attest that people who are disabled want to see more disabled people if the character calls for a disability. Same goes for a storyline with dwarfs. If it says dwarfs, then pay people with dwarfism to play the part. There's no debate in this. I would love to see this in 2024. We need more happy movies that kids can enjoy and parents and sit with them and truly enjoy it as well. This would be one of those movies. Somehow we criticize todays society, but don't offer happy movies for kids. Disney used to be about happiness... It was also about peace for me when life was hard as a kid many years ago.

Whether this is true or not about who plays the Disney Snow White, really won't matter if the story line is still the same that Zegler claimed it was, that it's not a love story and the Prince really doesn't matter, and that Snow rescues herself because her dream is only to be the leader of her kingdom, and there are no 7 Dwarfs but instead 7 Magical Creatures.

They're taking more than one page of script from that film lol...also in that adaptation SnowWhite was "forced" to become a sort of Joan of Arc to survive, and the role of the unlikely prince was covered by the huntsman instead, whom was not even the typical love interest, again supposedly what also the Disney version did.
However the big difference is that the Disney company should be honored to revisit their classic version, all the other studios naturally couldn't even if they wished so y'know, that's what is just...WEIRD, WEIRD haha‼️😂🤌

I think he problem here is that while the dwarves are side characters, Snow white is the protagonist, and they probably have shot scenes that didn't include the dwarves nonstop while they were reworking them. Considering how much film making costs I don't think there's coming back now unfortunately.
I didn't mind a Black little mermaid cause the story didn't have explicit descriptors for the character, and at time I was like "It's not like a black Snow White" but here we are

Not quite. This particular story is a very old Danish story . Her skin and eyes were very much a part of the story. While Disney did an “adaptation” of the original story and changed many things , they should of left her physical features alone. 90 percent of any movie is the visual. I bet if I remade “ the Color Purple” story with White actors everyone would be blowing a gasket , and rightfully so. Adaptions of original works should follow the physical and ethnics of the persons or characters. Basically changing this is stealing their work, their identity, their story. Are you all ok with Tom Cruise as Martin Luther King ? “ But the mermaid is a fictional character “ . Yes it is, but she was written an a blue eyed , pale rose colored skin(white) mermaid. By not using dwarfs for originally dwarf characters, aren't you effectively saying that there is something wrong with dwarfs? Why is it "progressive" to not use dwarfs? Peter's thought process doesn't make much sense and almost makes it seem like he is ashamed of dwarfs. Sometimes you have to cast actors based on not just their acting ability, but their physical appearance. It's just the way that is it. Next Peter will want a man staring as "Pretty Woman" in a Pretty Woman remake.
