I love this channel; you are so much more thorough in all the necessary information to experience Rome than any other channel I have visited. God Bless You!
Thank you for sharing. I’m going to Rome this year for my 30th anniversary and I appreciate your input on this jubilee year. I will definitely follow your recommendations! Have a blessed year ahead
Thank you so much for making these ! Great videos ! Very informative and helpful to those like me planning their trip to Roma ! I’ve heard some not so good thing about public restrooms/ and lack of , from friends who have visited . Can you please make a video on public restrooms? Esp if there’s any near major attractions? If one is on a 3-4 hour long tour of St. Peter’s basilica and Vatican , and needs to use the restroom , are there any quick accessible ? Thanks !
My pleasure! Check this video out at 5:22 about bathroomsua-cam.com/video/nh8GSGP5YIo/v-deo.htmlsi=otZMb7n7JEH-47hO Most paid sites like museums, monuments all have nice clean bathrooms
Glad you liked it! They are all very impressive! Another fun this is to take the hike down via Appia Antica. Check out the video.ua-cam.com/video/_pbRTIJkg9o/v-deo.htmlsi=h_6cJSMpLwz2q2dt
@ I would love to, as that video is brilliant. though realistically, I know I won’t make it there on this trip - I’ve limited myself to one day trip (Assisi) and the other 4 or so days will be spent cramming churches, ruins, and museums. Next time!
Assisi is a fun visit. If you have time on the way back to Rome, you can stop in Spoleto. Very fun once you get to the historic area. Have a great trip.
Hi, Thank you for your great videos. I have learned so much! We are planning a trip to rome in late may. I have read about the Jubilee in 2025. I know it will be busier than normal but do you think so much busier that we should reschedule our vacation? I would love to go to the Vatican during Jubilee but not being Catholic Jubilee is not a must for me. Thank you for all your advice!
May is busy any year. As long as you have you place you are staying secured you will be in good shape. Also better to plan for weekdays in Rome over weekends if you are visiting Rome for less than a week. Get up early and out the door early and you will have the city to yourself, sort of.
The Archbasilica of St. John the Lateran is the Mother Church of Catholics. It is the church of the Diocese of Rome which serves as the seat of the bishop of Rome, who happens to be the Pope. It ranks superior to all other churches.
I'm going to Rome in April and purchase timed entry tickets from the Vatican website giving me a dated and timed entry to see St. Peter's and go up into the dome. Does that mean I get to skip the line and just go in? Could I have just gone in the early AM and saved myself some money? Thanks. Also, love your channel. I've gotten so many great tips for our trip.
Thank you, thank you More blessings 🙏🏽 to you. I am so excited to attend the Jubilee 2025 Can we bring video and selfie sticks in the Holy doors? Last question, if you have a 2pm ticket(?) to go thru the doors of the St. Peters Basilica, can you get tickets to the top of the dome?
You are going to have a great time! You can video going through the holy doors no problem. Is you 2pm ticket for the museum? Best to go to the top of the dome when it first opens. They do not sell skip the line tickets for the dome. If you go at 2pm expect long line 1 to 2 hours, maybe less if you are lucky!
@@RozierRoma thanks so much, aside from the jubilee ticket/reservation, do we need another ticket to enter St. Peter’s Basillica? our 2pm ticket is to the Holy doors in St. Peters Basilica…we got from the jubileaum website Sorry, am so confused… help much appreciated 🫶🏽
I went to Santa Maria'. It was beautiful. Why is it just these 4 churches have Holy Doors"? I am not Catholic, just trying to understand. Good video. Thanks for sharing.😊
No, you will not have to go through security again but there will likely be a line to go through the holy doors but it should not be too long and moves fast. The big line is getting through security.
Hi Scott, do you feel that it is worth taking the time to go to the Vatican Museum? I have limited time and was also wondering if I should get tickets in advance.
With limited time no. For me I am not a museum lover so I avoid most but Vatican museum is super crowded, not the best experience for many. If you do go you will need to get tickets in advance but still plan for 3 to 4 hours of your day
I majored in art history and wanted to see the Sistine Chapel. At the time I was there, you had to go through the VM to see the SC. We were literally herded through the exhibits. There was no opportunity to linger or go back. It was a one way, very crowded experience. While I'm glad I got to see the SC, I would not do it again. So, only go if you absolutely have to see a certain thing.
@RozierRoma thank you for your prompt reply. I'm planning to visit Rome at the end of August and want to make the best use of time. I downloaded the Guida and watch your program on UA-cam.

Glad you liked the videos. Most other people are not dumb enough to spend 20+ hours on each video. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Try romewise chanel. She has lived in Rome for at least 25 yrs and covers every aspect of Rome, along with authentic Italian pronunciation
I went to Rome last May and had the most unforgettable experience. Seeing all the basillicas. It was beautiful. 🙂
Nice!!
Was there last week using your tips. Thanks!
That is awesome! I hope that means my tips were good!
I am going in may to Rome really looking forward to it😊
I am sure you will. have a great time!

You are so welcome! Have a fantastic time
Will make it through the Holy doors at St Peter’s this year. As I gazed at The Pietá I glanced to my right at the closed Holy doors last two times.
Yah similar thoughts every time I have visited until this year!
Que máximo! Obrigada por este vídeo. God bless you❣️🙏🏼🇧🇷
Thanks!

Amazing video. Cannot wait to see all of these - maybe even the other 3 to make the 7 Pilgrim Churches, if I have time.

Thanks for clarifying but in the publics opinion The Vatican is still number 1
@@RozierRoma true! Very small crowd there, if at all. The Pope hardly has activities at St. John's basilica too.

This might be something new? Checking on it now. Can you share website you purchased ticket from?
my understanding is you must go through security somewhere. I will be with a guided tour - not sure.
How can I contact you to confirm the purchase of your app, etc.? Thank you for your time.

how long does the jubilee last?
all year long
Thank you, thank you

No, if you tickets include the holy door, once you walk through, you will be in the basilica.

Good question! I am not certain. Maybe one day there will be more??
would you need to re-queue for the basilica after going to the dome?
No, you will not have to go through security again but there will likely be a line to go through the holy doors but it should not be too long and moves fast. The big line is getting through security.
There will be a special Holy Year in 2033 for the two-thousand year anniversary of Christ’s resurrection.
Perhaps, they had a special Jubilee declared in 2016 for some reason

If you are there on a Friday, check if it’s open Friday night less crowded you’ll enjoy it.

Do I need my passport to visit the vatican area? And or coliseum 🇨🇦
Thanks for the videos
no, but you will need ID. take a picture of your passport on your phone and if you every need to show it that will work
Are all churches open seven days a week? Totally love your videos.
Yes, they are open everyday, some starting at 7am and 7:30am. On Wednesdays there is the Pope viewing so holy door/basilica is not open until later
@RozierRoma thank you for your prompt reply. I'm planning to visit Rome at the end of August and want to make the best use of time. I downloaded the Guida and watch your program on UA-cam.
With a little planning you can really do lots in Rome even with limited time
How can I find out the mass schedules for these churches?
I am not sure but most times I visit I see them going on.
I’ve got to ask… why did you choose African Spirituals as your music? It feels a bit inappropriate.
Curious why would that be inappropriate?
