When I first looked at the new zombie kit I was kinda disappointed by the style of clothing they were all wearing, but seeing Peachy display the conversion potential they have with the arms and heads... my wallet is not prepared
Hahaha! Tbf I can understand the feelings about the clothing, but I’ve come to see that as it’s strength as it doesn’t limit it to a particular period or genre, meaning you can use theses guys in every game system
Oooh, a plastic kit of zombie! Thank you, Wargames Atlantic. Very generic zombies is a great idea, and I like the sculpting. The grasping hands will come in useful for non-zombie minis too. Seeing all the bits laid out in piles reminds me of why I don't enjoy the new monopose gW minis as much as the old multi-part kits. If anyone asks why the clothing is all the same colour, just shudder and say, "Seepage..." 🤢
Peach loves a bit of kitbashing-he's looking at using the cowboys at some point in the future for a video about Dead Man's Hand and perhaps even some civil war era stuff too! Luv Mrs Peach 🍑
I think the different historical heads are really cool. They do make more sense when mixed with the original non zombie bodies and then add the zombie arms like you have done 👍 It would be cool if the kit allowed extra arms and heads for that very purpose
Well that’s very sweet of you to observe, Mrs Peach is also pretty on the ball with getting me cool stuff to use in the backdrops, so I’ll give her a shout out too 🫶
@@eisenhorn5494 I backed their "The Damned" campaign, so I'm starting a Guard army with that range of models. Imagine getting a full Guard army for less than the price of two Combat Patrols. Infantry-heavy Guard, no less!
Soon as I got the email from WA talking about their upcoming Zombies kit, I was like "oh no...another kit from my favorite miniatures company I'll need to buy...and I just got done adding another 20 Fireforge Games zombies to my undead army". Genuinely devastated, ironically. On account of this being a really cool addition to WA's range. I mean, I WILL need to add more zombies to the collection. It's an undead army, of course you need more zombies. And it's not like the Fireforge ones aren't already mismatched with the Mantic ones I had already. What's one more style appended to the horde? That's just par for the course. The addition of so many different head styles is a nice touch. Really versatile, and you'll have plenty left over for future kitbashes. (Might revive that idea I had for Roman-style ghosts for a Cities of Sigmar army; stick the Roman zombie heads on the Roman bodies, paint ghostly).
Loved the video Peach! I had a neat idea during the video. The models for napoleonics would still work for WW2 since France was invading everybody left and right. Perhaps they wouldn’t be zombies at the time, but maybe because of magic they are preserved. But alas just a neat thought
I have just finished a zombie for a competition, I wish I had this knowledge earlier, but now I do have it, I have a year to practice until the next competition, great work, simple and effective
Great kit and cool tips, Peach! I recently painted a bunch of Fireforge Living Dead Peasants for Rangers of Shadow Deep, very similar approach, except I painted the skin with Army Painter Pale Sand and used a Maggot Skin (pale green) speedpaint on top along with a few different speedpaints for the clothing. I also used True Blood instead of Dry Blood, though it's difficult to see much of a difference without a direct comparison. Cheers!
Nice! Thank you for sharing your painting recipe too, it’s great to see what others do and use, in regards to the blood I think the dry blood is. Tad darker.
I quite like the look of these. Their upright pose suggest that they could run 28 days rage virus style. I imagine they would be great to kitbash with necromunda hive scum. Hive Mortis here I come. Great vid Peachy.
Awesome guide, thanks much for it! I'll definitely need to pick up some of these zombies from Atlantic. As an aside, I'm not sure which has seen more horrors, the zombies or that bottle of superglue. That thing is *gnarly*.
I recently discovered the magnficience of WGA plastic kits, and this new zombie kit seems as great as the others. Thanks for the review, it's definitely going on my shopping list!
Dude. What a great video and love the paint jobs and the assorted looks you have created with such an awesome looking kit. Missed you at MCM man, we had Droid Racing this time and it went down really well. Maybe next time
Yeah I tried to find you again, but it was somewhat rammed lol, struggled to get out of the Bandai stand 😂😂😂 Well that was mostly because of the cool kits hahaha
Disturbing zombies Mr Peach, look forward to them spreading fear and terror in your battle reports. Additional extra heads, genius and refreshingly kind and generous.
Thanks for the glue explanation! There's a couple of places out there where plastic glue is basically a must (see ankles for Tau battlesuits, which are both thin and supporting a very heavy body) but it's a pretty good reason for this posable guys, especially when they are so well fit that you aren't going to end up having to fix big seams with a filler.
Always remember playing a game at my local GW.. (well, the one that was easier to get too.. - even a bus driver once asked if anyone knew the way to the town😅)..
