Could you do one with replacing the alternator please? I have done all the work on my own car due to your videos.

Thank you. Unfortunately this Jeep wasn’t my personal vehicle just a customer’s but I can always walk you through it. It’s actually quite simple 1st you want to disconnect the battery. Next you should already know how to remove the serpentine belt from my video so all you need to do is slip off the belt from the alternator pulley next there will be a electrical connector going to the alternator disconnect that next there should be a nut usually a 10mm holding the positive battery cable to the alternator remove that nut and cable from the alternator and lastly there will be three long bolts holding the alternator to the engine block remove them they are probably a 12mm and that’s pretty much it remove alternator and install new in reverse order.

Tensioners are meant to be replaced with the belt, they are a wear part like the belt. Just did this on my GC as well, 133,000 I was overdue.

I’ve replaced belts without tensioners on lots of vehicles with no issues. I figured this one would be fine since it only had 80k but I guess not.

Mine I'd making a squeaky noise every now and then. Just replaced belt.. so I figure it has to be the tensioner or idler pulley.. any help or ideas would be appreciated. 2017 jeep grand cherokee at 111....

Yeah I would try changing out the tensioner does it look like there’s a lot of movement in it when it’s running?

@@BLUECOLLARGARAGE a tad bit, but figured it's normal . Didn't think that it just doesn't move. Need to see a video of a good tensioner and go from there.

Will this work for a 2015 model?
