Imagine wanting to be that cool kid, amazing kids at the primary school with cool magic tricks you learnt on this TV show, you show it in school and nobody is surprised because everyone watches the Curiosity Show and has seen it already
Darn Deane... I thought this would be a boring "place a second note on the wallet secretly" kind of trick and instead it was actually an amazing displacement trick.
I owe you an apology!
You've really never had one like this when you were a kid?
I'm shocked. Shocked!
Well, not that shocked.
@@avinotion I was born a poor black child.
@@garyv2196 so? I was born into a communist society. Which one is poorer?
Deane: The $2 note didn't go anywhere. RBA: $2 note no longer printed after 1987
I keep forgetting $2 exist cuz I never get them as change. If you want more information look up the $2 bill documentary.
Two-dollar bills are plentiful and current in the U.S.
Isn't this how the Jacob's Ladder toy was made? The flippy foldy kind of Jacob's Ladder, not the electrical one?
It's all a mystery to me
Exactly! I came in here to mention Jacob's Ladder and you beat me to it!
I have a magic wallet too- I put money inside and the next time I open it, the money's all gone!
He stores the $100 ones in the moustache
Try it on your $2 note toting friends.
Ooh!
Deane casting one of the three Unforgivable Curses 😎
My head just exploded!
Haha mine too :)
Same bro 😂
Exploding-head syndrome is a real thing. Look it up.
Figuratively, I hope!
That one blows my mind
I loved this one as a kid
just like real life - my money swaps hands even if i dont want it to
As the video went past I thought this was the wooden blocks that would turn around but this is way better
Thanks for teaching me a stapler is a machine!
i remember having wallet like this in my childhood
I used to d osomething like this waith a jacob's ladder toy, and a large coin
shocking!!
What about joseph and his magical technocolor rainbow suit?
Ingenious. Amaze your friends.
As an American, I was forced to watch beakmans world and bill nye. Insufferable shows that assumed I had a 3 second attention span. I would have loved this show in the early 90s.
I'm so right there with you. Would've loved this in the late 80s early 90s. Glad I get to show my son these episodes now that we have the internet. Respect children's intelligence, ya'll.
My only memory of beakman's is their usage of "splat" sound effects
They sell these wallets atm over here. made of leather instead cardboard. Deane you should ask for tantiemes!
You think he should get royalties from something he didn’t invent? Because he made a video? Doubt that’s gonna happen
@@the-guy-on-your-moms-couch at least he has prior art, as the manufacturer of that "wonder wallet" sure enough gets tantiemes for the principle as the manufacturer claims to have invented it and shall be holding the patent
There was an actually wallet that had this same idea. I have not seen lately but I definitely remember it. Awesome video
The wallet I use every day works like this. They definitely exist
@@thefirefox7210 my brother has one
Jacob's Ladder.
Stapling machine in position sir!
Then start stapling!
You got 2$ notes??
I'll just but a wallet.
I feel robbed..why didn't this show broadcast in the states
Wasn't?
I like the 80s still vids
🤔
why are all the videos so old
The videos were recorded a long time ago.
Time does that.
It is because the video was recorded in the past. This is actually a very common technique and you will struggle to find any video recording that doesn't work this way.
Because this show was in 1985
These are clips from an old Australian show called Curiosity Show. It was recorded in the 80s. Instead of letting all this stuff get lost to time, the original creators made this youtube channel and upload clips every day.
It's actually the original creators who manage the channel, which is pretty cool tbh. They are truly men of science
Can this guy teach me how to make a fake Rolex?
Do Australians still say stapling machine?
Stapler :)
I don't believe we ever did! :D
Now, after months of wanting to know, I ask. Who sings the words "I want to know", "Curiosity", and "Show" at the ends of these videos? The voice singing "I want to know" always sounds to me like a woman's; that singing the other two always sounds to me like a different person's, a boy's. Is it the same person? Is it a man, a woman, a boy, a girl?

I'd like the australians a lot more if they didn't follow either the tyranny of london or the tyranny of rome.......love the show though
??? Ummm.. we're self-governed, mate. But cheers for the concern.
@@AJWRAJWR not really, the crown and the uk monarchy run the show.......but that is adorable you think otherwise
@@samburdge9948 You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Check your facts before you try to be condescending, Samuel.
@@AJWRAJWR please explain
@@AJWRAJWR the word around here is we, USA, are just waiting for the winds to shift so we can dump you weakling into the ocean...........cause immense strife between states like china and australia, make china extremely weak, the phase we are in right now, then take over extremely weakened china, then use china as cover to drown australia...........we'll do the same with UK.........Canada is ours soon enough so no need to do anything
Not to judge, but Stachy McBrownsweater here is sitting by himself in a park and making things out of construction paper and I'm a little concerned for his state of mind.
