I love this philosophy series. I had philosophy in university and it's really cool to brush up on this knowledge. Especially that this course is very different from my university course.
I wish Dave would do a video on Tyler Henry the Hollywood medium. This guy claims to speak with the dead while giving a texted book example of cold reading. He has made a fortune off peoples misfortunes, that is being a criminal in one the worst ways possible.
Dave reads almost every comment in his comment sections, especially if you comment early on a new video. He probably read your comment. I'm sorry this "Tyler Henry" guy is bilking folks. I don't know if Dave is aware of Tyler or if Dave has already spoken on Tyler Henry. I would be interested in hearing from Dave about any con artist. Thank you.
Yo Dave. Now I know that you know this but still. James tour decided to do another of his stunt and made a video challenging the origin of life researchers to answer his questions . Any comment on that?
@@ProfessorDaveExplains, professor Dave, your explanations are really eye opening in this video. It answered the question: If today is 2023 A.D. then what happened all those years ago?
It's rather bold to unequivocally assert that Anselm's ontological argument is flawed, particularly in a video presented as neutral education. It's been proven valid (That is, the conclusion follows logically from the premises) by modern writers, and I've personally had a philosophy professor who defended it. The big objection is Kant's analytic/synthetic distinction, where existence is thought to be a synthetic property, but this is by no means impossible to disagree with.
Dear Dave how's it going. I am a very big fan of learning languages. I have been searching online for Italian courses and I think yours is one of the best. It is worth noting that *whenever you study a philosopher who is religious, who is talking about anything to do with their religion/theology, they are not doing philosophy, they are doing apologetics. These are not the same.* Philosophy is honest enquiring and truth-seeking, apologetics is making excuses or a defense for what they already assume without reason, to be true.
