I’m from PR, went to College in the USA and guess what? Came back, I love my Island, I can vacation every weekend and I do a lot of camping! I have lived in Mexico and England and visited many countries. Honestly, I still haven’t found a place as gorgeous and relaxed as my Island. There are cockroaches in almost every country in the world and also dangerous animals that we don’t have in PR; Island time doesn’t kill you, actually you get used to it, try Mexico time and you will rather have Island time. Road rage? Drive in other countries and they also have it, I was impressed with Japan where I never expected the horn, heat? Go to the AC, hate the snow; Get use to Amazon 3 days or more, no big deal. There are Apple stores in PR called Modernica, go there. I spent Maria in PR, buy a generator and get use to it every few years, we learned to survive and help each other…I’m in my 50’s and my “kids” are in their 20’s, they offered me heaven to work in the States but money vs my quality of life is non negotiable. I moved away from SJ and I like it more where I am now. Raised my kids here, went to private school, never on drugs, now they are professionals, it wasn’t easy but I always prioritized quality of life and took them everywhere, specially camping. You can manage, and if you get stressed just remember you can go to the beach or travel inside the country and recharge batteries. I love Nature. We love our Coquis, they are very important for our beauty sleep 😆 All Countries are beautiful and have their charm, it all depends on what your priorities are 😊

Lizards are actually good they eat the flies, cockroaches, mosquitoes and bugs in general and those green iguanas have been here since around the 80''s as an invasive species.. and as far as exploring just have fun with it and don't forget to explore the kindness and humility of the people (that's important and overlooked), you're right about the greenery and the natural vibrancy of life it comes with the rain.. Its a good place to live

Love your positivity and how much you obviously enjoy living in PR. Ana's video was great too. I would just say that a few of the parts on the list are a little different for country living instead of in an apartment or metro big city life. Country life for me is so much more relaxed than big city life, even SJ. The positive tradeoffs of living a country life are sooo big that I would give up fast internet any day.
