Young man thank you for keeping the class alive. Your father has taught you well, no matter what nobody says. YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
This channel never ever disappoints.
Thanks a lot.
Thanks for watching
WOW, That Ford is gorgeous.!!!!!
It's like a breath of fresh air to hear that you love original! I like to watch auto wrenching videos, but a lot of them chop, lower, replace chassis, all of which makes me cringe! Great work on the '48!
. We want to be on the road as cool but cheap as possible. All the customizing just takes too much time and money
Looking good Travis! Missed seeing Rick! His value as wingman in your channel can’t be underestimated. Yes, it’s your show, and you do great, but it IS better with at least a brief appearance and wisdom nugget from Rick. Ida like to have seen him come do a 10 second pop/massage of the ding in the passenger front fender, tell us why he used the particular shape dolly and then roll on out.
that tank and sender wow..
Thank you for putting the massive effort to bring these videos to us
Glad you can appreciate it 👍🏻
I've watched this build from day one and I'm loving the payoff. My father bought a 5 window 48 new and it's the first vehicle I remember riding in. After 68 years I still have a soft spot for them.Thank you for keeping it original.
You need to give yourself a pat on the back. You did one hell of a job on that water pump / fan and I really like the what you did with those parking lights. I always like them to be on with the headlights. Keep up the great work
Thank you appreciate that.
Beautiful model A
White Teflon tape isn't meant for use with fuel, going forward you want to buy the yellow Teflon tape used for gasoline, kerosene, diesel, and other similar substances. They are like $2.75 a roll from Lowe's or Home Depot.
Dude, leave the parking lights on. They look good that way! Great job
Appreciate that you are going to keep it original - beautiful automobile.
When I first started working on cars as a young kid the wiring was a mystery to me as well. When I graduated high school I joined the Navy and they made me an Aviation Electrician's Mate. Problem solved. At least until everything became computer controlled!
Nice gesture giving the old engine to the museum. Love your channel!
Ahh, those "days of yesteryear", brought to us by Mr. "Travis"! Love your video. I'm an old dinosaur of 82, and it brings back memories of the days when they made these oldsters. Keep up the good work Sir! And thanks for bringing these oldsters back to life.
Thanks for watching it happen
You’re doing great Travis. I enjoy your channel so much.
I'm really enjoying this build. Back in the early to mid 70's, I learned to drive on my uncle's dairy farm. He had two work trucks, a 1949 and a 1950 Chevy pickup. One was a 3 window and one was a 5 window. So, this truck brings back a lot of good memories. I always enjoyed driving those trucks. In the later 70's and early 80's, I used to run oats from the field to the mill in a 1946 Chevy dump truck. That truck still had the crank out windshield. Good times.
Cool stuff 👍
Great work , keeping true to original design, thanks for sharing 👍💨💨
Its coming together nicely Travis!! Glad you are keeping it as original as you possibly can. Keep up the good work!!
Appreciate it 👍🏻
Love the old Air Force truck and the Model A. Great work Travis!
Good on you for donating to the museum. That's really cool. Museums always need donations. And anyone that has something to give. Should. Even time if ya got it.
What a mint gas tank! That just never happens! The truck is looking great Travis, Good work, (Edit: Spelling corrections, I was typing in the dark!)
Oh man, to stay up and binge this entire video or go to sleep knowing tomorrow will be great…a great crossroads to find myself upon
Keep em coming!
Thanks for the dough!
My 49 IH KB2 also came without electric turn signals. I thought that I would avoid drilling holes in the body for new lights but your solution sounds best-Thanks!
Awesome job you and your dad do it old school... Inspirational for other back yard guys fixing up cars..
Saved another one 👍
I have really been enjoying your content since you went to New Jersey, I like you how show how to do repair's and keep it simple and so glad to see you and your dad working together.
Glad you enjoy that’s what we’re all about
That old can of screws and bolts has become quite valuable in this crazy world. Love the old trucks.
Beautiful 31 model A Ford. Sweet ride.
Love the old Patina trucks i have also a Chevy 54 Patina truck greetings from Belgium europe 👍👍👍👍
That’s cool is it hard to get a truck like that over there
@@theetravisb now and easy to get spare Parts 👍👍👍
Love how you restore the original mechanical parts. Great to see this running. Thank you.
If you every need to make gaskets for lights I use the black foam underlayment for laminite flooring it comes in a roll for a cheap price and you can make lots of gaskets with it
Travis, what an absolute pleasure to watch you resurrect this '48 Chevy pickup.
Thanks for watching 🤙🏻
$20!?!? I guess all of us who have saved nuts and bolts in jars have a small fortune!😂
Good one Travis! That is cool old pickup.
Always a pleasure to watch what you and father do.
The U.S. Air Force became its own branch of the military the same year your truck was built 1948. It would be great to see it restored to its original Air Force livery.
Thanks for your effort bro, I like your videos so much
Glad you enjoy
its nice you gave the 216 to the museum folks, truck starting to take shape
I am getting into my 60's now , but my Dad had a model A when he was a young man ! How times have changed and not necessarily for the better . Love watching you work on old tired cars and bringing them back to life.
like the red crown gas sign. got some red crown valve caps on my 57s wheels.
Love gas and oil memerobilia
You are amazing that you got a left for dead truck and it is fully functioning now. I really enjoyed the video….neat truck.. I enjoy originality as well. You or whoever buys the truck should paint it back Air Force blue and add the yellow Air Force lettering back. Really cool truck…and I have always liked model a’s. Good choice.
Pretty dang cool!
I love how Bob pulled up in a Comanche, that is cool as heck
Awesome Truck! Well done.
Ohh Dude 🙂 that model A's a beauty, really love what you're doing, your 48 Chevy deserves to be back on the road, you're right too, originality speaks a thousand words 😎 cool stuff Dude!!
I'd definitely be keeping that car! And keeping it All original!🇺🇸👌
Travis, the truck is finally coming around. It will look much better when finished as everything will be put back to where it belongs. That model A is the way I would purchase one also, all original.
I like that you like to fix up the really old vehicles.
Love this build, love your keeping it original and really enjoying watching the progress! Great find on the "A"
Im with you on keeping them original...
I watch another channel and the guy took a 100% orig model A & ripped it apart to make a hot rod...
Buy an old junk heap if you wanna hot rod a model A...
But destroying a perfect original in my book is crimminal..
Enjoyed it T...
The 49 is turning out great.
Yeah. I saw that. Wasn’t a fan . If it’s trashed already then ok but it lasted all those years. Taking it apart is a mistake.
It just keeps getting better and better
Thanks!
Thank you!
Awesome job on the 48 P/U Travis. Can't wait for interior make up on your next video. I am also working on the interior on the 1980 Dodge Ram W200 P/U and making good progress and taking good care of her.
That’s awesome !
The drone shots are really cool 👍
way to pay it forward with the engine going to Bob/Museum..and at no cost...when you get a chance a video of said museum would be a great topic for us to share with you..
Great Job Travis. Got a lot accomplished on this video. The 1948 Chevy is almost complete. Plus the model A is sweet.! Thank you for sharing!
💯👍👊
Really great work Travis looks good and sounds awesome… nice car too ….
Hi travis good to see another one brought back an cool model a . Cheers mate🇦🇺
Great resurrection, love it !!
That’s a sweet old truck ❤.Im digging the patena
I love this truck!!!!
Great video to watch - can’t wait for the model A story
It appears to me that gas tank was put in there many years ago and never once had gas put in it. That was an awesome score for you Travis. This truck looked like a pile of junk on you first got it but it's actually turning out to be a true winner.
“Whenever you get a giant hole filled it’s a good feeling” -Travis
Great work, looks like a fun truck to drive
Great job getting this truck back on the road. It sat collecting dust long enough...
Looking good Travis! Huge accomplishment so far!
Nice work as usual, can't wait to hear the story on the ford.
I wish new trucks had those windshield screens on the top they are soooo cool!!😊!!!!
The 48 Chevy is looking fantastic, but that Model A is really nice. Don't know what you'd need to do to it other than refresh the flowers in those rear vases hanging from the windows. Thanks for sharing.
Travis, it’s nice to watch your videos on how you pace yourself and explain what you are doing. Good luck with your builds. Looking for more.
Great work.
old Chev looking. great !
That Model A is beautiful, I'm jealous!
Oh wow Travis! What a beauty..
Your hard work is getting this lovely old Chevy back on the road again. Outstanding work 👏🏻
Congratulations!!
Excellent call on the visor… it seriously increases the cool factor.. makes it look pissed off 🤣 love it !!!
Great video Travis, love the model A. Great progress on the chev pickup. I can’t Wait to see the interior and how it comes out. Have great week.
Super sweet truck! I like it!
“Start them all before you tighten any”. Jeff Bradshaw.
Beautiful runner!
The windshield brow is a nice touch.
I’m with you on a lot of things. Wiring is not my favorite. And I prefer finding old cars in their original bone stock form as they came from the factory. That Model A is PERFECT!! I’m so excited to hear that you’ll be hanging on to it. I don’t think I could ever sell it if I had one. I think about things like Henry Ford being alive when the car came through the assembly line too. I’m happy that car landed in your hands. Oh, and the shadow of the fuel gauge needle in the truck is so cool, those kind of details are so much cooler to me than any brand new shiny gauge
Yes we share the same enthusiasms about that stuff it’s really cool
Wow dude I cannot believe how we lucked out with the fuel tank like that!!
Yeah absolutely
yes the tires and wheels combo is perfection!! for sure
music in the background sounds like soundtrack to mudrunner.
love snowrunner
That truck is full of character
It´s always a pleasure to watch your videos, keep up the nice work guys! Cheers!
I like the parling lights to stay on also, it's your truck, wire it the way you want it.
Another great video chap. Well done with all you have achieved.
A 1931 model A!!!!! Too cool Travis can't wait to see the video!!!!!
You have made a great job of that truck. Kept everything you could and replaced everything you had to! Looking forward to next one 👍👍
you have certainly been blessed at finding that Model A Ford
Amazing work! Your truck is turning out very nice. 👍
Enjoyed! The "A" is awesome.
Nice that you saved this old Chevy.
The love you put on your work make the diferencie.
Appreciate that thanks
