one of reasons why I went with 2019 version was ground clearance.
One good thing w the new one is it has the quick shifter.
I love this bike and need it in my life. To me the riding position is spot on to what I want in a road bike. Plus looks sweet 👍🏼
So you're getting it for your girlfriend......nice.
@@joerod4627 no, this will be my second girlfriend.
I have a 701 Vitpilen and I love it yeah hold the blank button on the dash and it get rid of ABS and Traction Control
I love smaller bikes u can do so much more with them great video
Oh yeah ! I ve been waiting for that for a long time !
I saw one of these at Georgetown Ride Now a few weeks ago when I went in to browse their showroom.
It’s a cool looking bike that looks like a lot of fun to zip around town on.
Amazing bike my buddy got one for this wife. Very good looking bike awesome riding position good power delivery for what it is.
When I first saw this bike, 701 model I thought it looked a little odd. But now I think I like it. Great review thanks.
Looks like a grom lol
regarding the abs, you should be able to switch off the abs and traction control by pressing and holding the "blank" button on the display. At least I can do that on my Vitpilen
i see a lot of "beginners" on the "expert" R1
I just got this one... waiting for the delivery...omg i am beyond excited for my first ever bike...this is my first bike guys.. I've wanted a bike since childhood and i can finally buy one and i did
Edit: mine's the 2024 model lol
You can disable rear ABS like in duke 390 if you want. I is just not so simple as the clock and buttons are horrible but doable.
Thinking about buying this bike. What about dirt road uphill?
Husk-A-varna! You get an extra a from yammie, free of charge :)
That’s the spirit! Lmao
Who's-K-Varna
Nem ferrando que você é brasileiro. Eu assisto teus vídeos a um tempão e não sabia
Translation
Can’t believe you are Brazilian. I’ve been watching your videos since long time and I didn’t know
Caramba, I have been watching your videos for ages now, and I never knew you were born in Sampa.
I am from Rio.
Born in São Paulo ?? ...I live in São Paulo, you remember how to speak portuguese? Great Video !
Holy crap that looks like a SUPER FUN bike given the Goldilocks size !!
.. and a definite/more-affordable contender to the Desert Sled..
Basically x6 for kms to mph so 60kmh x6 is 36 mph 70 is 42 , 80 is 54 etc. I’m buying with tail tidy, tank bag (magnetic), ergo seat and smoked screen
I actually just got the only 2020 vitpilen 701 in texas yesterday. Go to lonestar yahmaha if you want a husky, they're the only on in texas thag actually gets majority street huskies, they do also have dirt/dual sports
Cool bike. Had the same issue with neutral on my 701SM with the LC4 engine and found it best to go up into second then down to neutral. (Couldn’t go down from the shift range, had to go all the way down to 1st, then up to 2nd then down to Neutral) just a quirky endearing quality.
Yam you should look at the vitpilen to see the differences in seating position as its supposed to be more of a neo cafe racer.
I got a svart 701 it’s such a blast in corners
Been looking a lot at that bike. How is the power?
need more videos with the Svart. Does the 2020 come with the quick shifter? (easy-shift)
I just put a deposit on one last weekend, cant wait for it to show up!
I got a Benelli TNT 135 as my first bike, and I like it a lot, but the engine has issues with hills. This looks perfect for my next bike!
you can actually turn off the ABS on the dash, there´s an unbranded button
This bike is named like a cupboard from IKEA!
Well yes, but actually no.
Svartpilen translates to black arrow, so pretty cool name I think
Ikea is swedish, so is Husqvarna. I think there's a correlation.
If IKEA was selling a bike this would be it!
Well, your name sounds like a Vodka brand.
I just got one in North Texas for $4999, and you can turn off the rear abs in the settings.
Huh, one of the first ones! Keep up the great work Yammie!
I sold my 14e bike last summer. Last bike was Mt10 and i sold it for this bike. I want go back to the ground, simplicity and enjoying little thing... i had tiger800xc, ducati 1100 evo, super tenere, vstrom... but its enough... i Just wanna ride
It would be easy to mod the fuse with a switch for the ABS.
Happy I found my first bike through your videos! Mad that I'm not the only one who watches yamms...they keep selling out of the Husqs near me lol
I routinely and comfortably ride 70 to 90 mph on my 30 mi highway work commute - get about 65 mpg.
The display is the one major weak spot of the Svartpilen.
It's retro. So cool. It's not a smartphone, a bike is meant to be ridden, you don't stare at the display
i cant believe it ! , i am planning to get this bike as my beginner bike.
thanks for the review and bless me papa !
EDIT: apparently it wont get released this year ):
Bought one as my first bike. Great choice, you'll love it.
@@spencerholtzman1151 how does it feel when you try a bit of light off roading on it ?
We only have the Vitpilen & Svartpilen 250 as of now in India bro.
@@samiranroy2245 yeah i gotta wait a while before it launches
it was supposed to launch in april but i guess covid 19 delayed thr launch
@@suvrosarkar4419 it feels alright. It honestly doesn't have a ton of suspension travel, so I wouldn't do anything crazy. But tearing down a gravel road or a dirt road it's awesome. Plenty of grip for something like that.
Corpo Seco has good taste... Both in motorcycles and music.
The exhaust desing is only on the 2020, i have a 2019 vitpilen and it’s routed through the frame as your duke 390 giveway bike, 2020 duke 390 also has the same exhaust routed down
Congrats to Dustin for winning this lil ripper. Can't wait to see it.
Picking mine up on 3/28/22. Just what I need NO busa!
Great review! Is the cooling system exactly similar? I can imagine the fork, rear suspension and the headlight going into a Duke 390 :D
Worth mentioning the 2020 models, atleast the eurospec ones comes stock with easyshift or quickshift
Test rode it when it first came out in my country and didn't like it one bit. Wasn't to the point being 'rickety' but it didn't feel exactly well put together compared to the competitions in this segment. Maybe that's how the 390 was to begin with, but I never rode it so I wouldn't know. I guess you'd buy it if you're into its looks. Now the G310GS on the other hand, that's one tight machine
