this show is so breath taking. it is just walking art. i feel every dress can be a museum piece.
mimosa9188 haha they definitely are! Come and visit Melbourne; they’re currently being exhibited at the National Gallery of Victoria
Man this woman is mad genius. Some heavy art right here
14:59 Particularly this one
this is where fashion transcends into art. this is high art and high fashion at the same time. THIS is what i live for.
I am still unsure if I am watching an Alexander McQueen or an Iris van Herpen show, but this show is extremely good. Guo Pei really stunned me
Marvin Omar Menjivar Alvarez iris van herpen is incredible!
I liveeeeeeee I hope every brand stops trying to market couture as something anyone can wear.... couture is art and we all know people who wear art are famous, models, or just rich and amazing like Daphne Guinness
stefanos2691 you have no business being here
stefanos2691 "nobody cares or listens to the fashion designer"...hahaha rolf.
you obviously haven't watched meryl streep monologue in 'the devil wears prada'. it was written for people like you.
"fashion is not an art".....you say.
"fashion imitates real life"...you say.
what then is art to you ??
what form of skill does one need to imitate real life ??
"designers who insist on creating clothes for people to look at has no place in the fashion week".....really ???
in the same vein, picasso has no place in this world since his works aren't available to everyone.
oh! bdw, i considered designers like guo pei, iris, john, lee as artists...
stefanos2691 enuf said, troglodyte. you have no soul for fashion. go to walmart for your latest functional clothes.
stefanos2691 But are you as successful as John Galliano and Alexander McQueen?
stefanos2691 ...and those great ones are?
john galliano, mcqueen and guo pei ruled the post millenium fashion world

Gawd I love everything she designs! Lol. I just wish she would keep the cultural/race diversity in her models like she used to. Ever since she showed in Europe she's only been having white girls. This show only had ONE model who wasn't. She didn't even have one Asian model. At least there was the speck color lol. Also, you could really see the influence in her designs from her recent travels. She's so brilliant.
i think maybe this one she wanted to keep the spirit of the english royal family alive -
oh my lord...the dress that looked like it was floating on a cloud...so gorgeous
This was so beautiful!! Walking masterpieces!!
Guo Pei put China on the map in my eyes. Every collection is always so beautiful and so refined. Every embellishment, every stitch, every seam is made to perfection and blows me away every time. She elevates fashion to such a extraordinary extent it's more than just fashion; it's art. Some may not understand it, but learn to appreciate it for what it is. Every piece that walked down this runway was jaw dropping.
very unusual gothic fashion show the beauty of haute couture bravo!!! guo pei
Aaamazing!! Regal yet modern!! Clever use of everything!!
Wow shes amazing.. amazing ...jaw dropping .. the best I've seen .. shes the best..
Fabulous creativity!!!
I knew it was going to be a good show when it opened with Loreena McKennitt's song, Incantation. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
complexly BRILLIANT

Futuristic royalty 👑
OH MY GOD, everything fantastic. It is the right haute couture
I love Guo! It's great to see a couture show that's worth watching. I would love to see her do ready-to-wear also.
I love GUI pei designs I have never been seen these type of designs
Brilliant, fearless, this woman is a Goddess, she brings works of art to life, I was actually moved to tears at the end!!!
Absolutely incredible clothes! Sooo beautiful!

Very elegantly avant-garde! Every design is an artistic masterpiece. Not all wearable but all we're very inspiring. 👏🏻

The song in the beginning?
Mis respetos para esta mujer muy tan única y creativitsima
who was the model in red who hugged guo?
carman
Carmen dell'orefice, she is 88 years old, the oldest working model in the industry, she was once Salvador Dali's muse
A M A Z I N G THIS IS ART FASHION... WOW FACTOR...
Blown💨 away in awe, wow😻
The pink dress at 12:50 looks ready to wear for any celebrity on red carpet. This is a beautiful show with a very interesting story.
I love her
14:56 she look like Lady Gaga!!!
Bongga,,,
Omg!!!!!!!! Who was that in tha red, it looked like Glen Close.......Lovelovelove😘
People forget that even this type of avant garde couture work filters down to street fashion. Gorgeous.
Avant-garde. Wonder if garments are heavy.
fucking Love it wow the detail...
good
this was spactacular
very original
je vous remercie🍾
🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹
Nice costume show!
yes I can see myself wearing the first outfit to walmart.
somethings are pure genious
What artist"s song is used? As in the first song?
models for haute couture are never easy.
I wish I could contour!
Guo Pei is very very talented!! Does she design/collaborate with costume designers for the movie/sequel to "The Hunger Games????" If not she needs to. Just a thought 💭🤔
I'm so annoyed the soundtrack was changed!!! It's not the original from the show anymore!!!!
please anybody know name of song at 3;30
Loreena McKennitt - The Mystic's Dream Ciao
Guo Pei would've understood the 2022 Met Gala "Gilded Age" assignment. Don't know why we don't see more of her work at the Met Gala. Too expensive?
Hi! Anyone knows the music track at 2:33?
The mystic's dream
Does anyone ever ask the question, 'Why?'
xDD Wtff It's beautiful but poor models
One of the best 🐝😊
But does she know the context and meaning of the "cross?"
Her collections seem very "smart" & high quality. She probably knows the symbols that she uses.
Very Dune.
they wanna convince aliens to do there shopping from earth
14:30 i dare to wear this piece, walking and shoping with my cutie Chihuahua dog in Harajuku Tokyo
Iris van herpen =
Inspired
What's the song at 12:38
Gigi Haded ...grow up
from my layman opinion i think these are more like costumes than clothes. would be perfect in movies, but not wearable in real life. but still, amazing creativity. if i were her i would've featured with some cool producers or directors to make movies using these creations.
Ekharisti Lidya usually haute couture fashion shows for designers like guo or alexander, the actual wearbility of the clothing is only second to the aesthetics. It is more of a high art form rather than practical clothing
i can't understand it. It's really weird (i am not sure if i want to call it ugly). The details are amazing though and the lady in red is breathtaking!!
It's interesting to watch it
I was thinking, damn these models are exceptionally tall. Then I looked at their shoes....
the fashion not like celebrating summer....., too dark....
The craftsmanship and art is undeniable, I just can't help but think that if the Pope would have an erotic nightmare this show is what his dream would look like.
Very Russia orthodox inspired.
The first two was scary lol
😂🙋
ugh...
CUSTOMER????????????????
Rajesh kumar It's like buying art - not for a personal closet 😉
me.
Rihanna!!!
Yaz hunty ... I loved you in GOT.. or Hunger Games... Not art, not fashion, but lovely freshman costume.. coupled with an aunt that can sow anything
excuse me but what is new here? clothes very much inspired by european royalty. i mean.. (?)
And I thought John Galliano was over the top. Each of these clothing were pieces of art that ought to be preserved for display at a museum. Practically speaking, none of this shit is wearable,, even for a single day at a very special event. Yes I know, it's haute couture, but most haute couture fashion shows at least show that the dress can be comfortable enough to walk. I mean have you seen how these models were walking? At glacial pace. It was good to see Miss Carmen Dell'Orefice close the show. Such a legendary iconic model. I know this was in Paris Fashion Week, but I kinda wished Guo Pei used more Chinese models to represent her country and brand. I know Paris Fashion Week is like the most important fashion week, and getting an opportunity to present your collection is indeed a privilege, and of course using the currently biggest names in fashion is important in marketing, but I just hope she does not decide to centralize her brand in Paris, where there are already many great haute couture designers. There are many great designers all over the world, and she could really help put China (a country with a rich history in fashion and arts) in the map as one of the fashion capitals (whether it is Beijing or Shanghai), because I'm pretty sure there are many young an upcoming talents in there as well. For reference, Mister Cristobal Balenciaga was originally a Spanish designer who opened up his store in San Sebastian, Spain, but found more success in Paris, and therefore, now his brand is labeled as Balenciaga, Paris. I hope it doesn't become that way for Guo Pei. Not hating on Paris.
Yawn.....all this pollitical correctness makes me bored.......
She only had a few pieces...slow walking was to fill time...
The opening reminds me of the witch from Game of Thrones. The whole collection is very dark and creepy. No thank you.
L'héritage d'Alexander MC Queen est bien malmené.... tristesse
I must say, her earlier pieces and collections were flamboyant in a cringeworthy way ,stiff, cheap and tacky even though there were beautiful details(which is the easy part for most designers) put on them. Many of her clothes are abuse of traditional Chinese aesthetics and many other designers can handle this theme better .but this year , I think she's achieved the subtle balance to convey her style and ideas. I still consider her overrated and her designs flawed , but I also believe that in this pace she will find her own way to sublime soon.
THIS is such a rip off of Mcqueen!! The shoes are reminiscent of the Atlantis Plato shoes. The clothes have a similar Mcqueen cut and styling. POOR:(
You ripped off Ronald Mcdonald's hair.
like mcqueen wanne be fresh grads
I didn't like it, it looks like very amateur
