So true. Little River Band, 1927, Moving Pictures, Rose Tattoo, AC/DC, Icehouse, John Farnham, Daryl Braithwaite, INXS, Midnight Oil, Jet, Savage Garden, Dead Can Dance, The Church, Nick Cave, Gotye, Men and Work, Jimmy Barnes, Rick Springfield, The Bee Gees--oh, hell, you're right. These bands and artists are AMAZING. Soundtrack of my life in America...
I lost my baby brother to suicide almost 16 years ago and this song truly says everything.. I thought he knew we were there for him, I thought he knew his big sister was there whenever he needed. I wish apon everything I have been through and have come through that I had more time and more chances to show him he was not alone.
He did know you and your family was there for him and, he also knew you loved him and he loved it.....when it comes to males...his soul broke at sometime....and there is no fixing....women dont understand that..... Some men souls brake and it takes "whatever" to push them over the edge..... at the end of the day, all men are alone :(
I don't know if it's just me, but the chorus makes me feel like I'm right back in the 90s. I love how this gives me a sense of nostalgia. So refreshing to hear something like this on the radio
Christine Romea Nostalgia = Best :) - as for me I feel more of a current different dimension feeling from this song and a great ocean adventure. (if that makes sense)
Sometimes you hear a song for the first time, you fall in love with the melody before you get the lyrics, and you know then and there, it will always be on your playlist.
Can't sing along to this without tears welling up.. Not sure if I'm the perpetrator or the object. Or maybe just the observer who has been in both roles. It's very beautiful.
Joe -_- gosh don't you hate that when you hear a song and your like holy shot this is good and you try everything to find the song name. Shit gets intense
I'm digging the electronic vibes.... a lot of my favourite driving tracks are electronic... from the likes of Purity ring, M83, flight facilities etc etc.... good stuff.
I usually hear this on the radio when I'm at work. I have to stop myself from doing a dreamy dance with arms gently flailing as the music takes me away
Carsten Doig Me too man. I generally prefer Birds but I love Vool as well. He is a very talented bloke. My mates and I got to stand on the barrier for the show at the Triffid in Brisbane. Hectic as fuck! The stage presence of this guy is incredible. Only downside to the show: No epic keyboard solo in Wayside :( .
Another fantastic song by a world class band. Still cannot understand why so much overseas crap gets more recognition than this incredible Aussie talent.
Never really listen to radio when in car but heard this on Triple M for first time yesterday and immediately thought it was Birds and what a good song ;)
I just randomly found this and I love it.. More people should hear this.. maybe post it on some radio station forums or have so popular youtube channel do a dish on it.
Finally! I found it. There are apparently a lot of anchor songs. Been tracking this down since i heard it on the radio. It's inspired a piece in a movie i would like to create one day. Very nice song, deserves more recognition.
Just the best thing ever. From and old woman of 56. I used to live in Perth. Just renews my faith in music. so much doof doof around witch is ok too but this song sais so much to me. Keep going guys you are amazing.
+Christine Adkins fuckyeah, you just keep loving music you music loving 56 yro why not, that's my plan..love what you love groove to what you grooove, theese guys rock and so do you!!!
Just more proof that when it comes to Ian Kenny he continues to show his diversity and ability....how many guys could run 2 bands side by side and make it work....I tip my hat to him once again......
This song and it's lyrics, opens up a lot of emotions for Sirens of Silence, there are some we wish we could have saved and yet we didn't know how to connect with them. Listen to this song and never let someone slip away without feeling connected.
Yes! I've found it! I heard it on the radio on my car today and had to quickly text the lyrics to my email account. Hopefully I can download it from iTunes.
This has a big meaning and I loved how thy used different creations of faces to describe it. It looks like the effort made it dramtic. KEEP CALM AND LOVE THE NEXT STEP KEEP CALM AND LOVE GYMNASTICS
i love this song .. i think the lyrics spoken are somthing we have all felt before in relationships failed and thought of again later... somthing taken for granted at the time and realised later but to late .. damage done
I saw these guys live last week in melb what an amazing act they probably sound better live the vocals have so much air and cutting guitars drum and bass are tight as a fish's ass and there loud I'd love to see them in an arena I've heard there sound rigs are made for that a breath of fresh air 🍻👈
To anyone who's feeling low, please don't swim alone, know that you are enough. In time you can heal & be your own anchor, but for now, know that you are worthy of love no matter what you've been through or how broken you think you are. So speak loudly & clearly to family, friends & mental health professionals. Keep reaching out until you find the love & support you need to make yourself whole again ❤. Aussie music like this makes me proud to be Australian.
Crowded house, Moby & Killers rolled into one.....might be just me but that's what I hear...

All I can say is I'm very sorry for your deep loss...your bro is pain free and dancing in Gods Garden 🙏
🙏
Sometimes we all need a anchor!
So sorry for your loss. He definitely knew you were there for him. He is with angels now. Lots of love to you and your family🧡🙏
This song was played at my friends funeral in 2017 and everytime i hear it i think of him. Fly high Riley ❤
Whoever came up with the concept for this video must have been smoking something very special
Lennie Godber Yeah, while watching the iTunes visualiser
Mike Salter ha ha ... visualisers never change ... reminded me of Windows Media Player
***** didn't say the song wasn't awesome

Lennie Godber smoke with ya momma
I don't know if it's just me, but the chorus makes me feel like I'm right back in the 90s. I love how this gives me a sense of nostalgia.
So refreshing to hear something like this on the radio

Sometimes you hear a song for the first time, you fall in love with the melody before you get the lyrics, and you know then and there, it will always be on your playlist.
This right here is art.
Too Wright Luke
great song, should have been a bigger hit than what it was
So true... What does that say about today's music taste?
Can't sing along to this without tears welling up.. Not sure if I'm the perpetrator or the object. Or maybe just the observer who has been in both roles. It's very beautiful.

Still digging this song.
took me 4 months of painfully, occasionally hearing this song on the radio, not knowing what its called to find it. :)
If you have a smart phone check out the app, SoundHound. It's pretty great.
Joe -_- gosh don't you hate that when you hear a song and your like holy shot this is good and you try everything to find the song name. Shit gets intense

Best Birds Of Tokyo song by far. In my humble opinion, of course.
It might be your puppy dog..it might be your family member...just love with all your heart...life is too short not to.

One of the best songs ever made........maybe top 5 ever in history.....
If there is a top five with one song from ian, it’s definitely a Karnivool song

Coooooool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song has a big Angels and Airwaves feel during the chorus. I'm enjoying it
After a spell of Karnivool-ism, I am blown away yet again by Kenny's ability to turn his hand to something entirely different.
Carsten Doig He isnt the sole writer.
No shit. But it always seems to take a pedant like you to point out the obvious.
ItsThatMilkshake It's not like he's putting the band down. Grow up.
