it’s a glitz pageant. that’s the way it’s meant to be. i don’t support it in any way but she should’ve expected less. if she was in a natural one she would’ve gotten better.

There are natural beauty pageants she can attend? Her mother is humiliating her by putting her in these competitions. If you see the pictures of her pink dress from a prior competition in the beginning that’s what the standard is. And it’s not immature once again it’s called the rules of the road and if you don’t have them you don’t get the points 🤷🏼♀️

I feel kinda bad for her. She is beautiful, but her mom is setting her up for defeat. She should stick to natural pageants rather than glitz if she doesn't want to get her daughter a proper dress or do her hair and makeup fancily.
I think it's nice for her to know that even if everyone else has to wear loads of makeup etc, she can be happy how she is

The mom in my opinion wasnt setting her up for defeat I think it's just in pageants makeup has become more of an essential thing so without it your chances could be lowered from winning and what she did was made her more confident so it's not that she did this on purpose but the fact that the makeup it self wasnt there maybe

I love that she is not one of those spoiled disrespectful fake pageant girls and I love that mother makes her dresses because her dress was really pretty and the fact that she uses stuff that she has already to make a beautiful dress shows how talented she is instead of spending thousands of dollars on the dress she’s going to wear once
I'm very impressed with this kid. She was obviously disappointed that she was last but picked herself up and moved on. THAT is a true competitor! A lot of adults, let alone kids, could really use that example.

There are natural pageants that don’t allow excessive makeup, hair pieces, and flippers, but those don’t typically get highlighted on this show. High Glitz pageants mean high drama which is good for ratings.
Kim of Queens show a lot of natural pagents and is pretty wholesome

Actually her dress was beautiful. I would rather see little girls in age appropriate dresses and hairstyles rather than being pimped out to look like miniature chorus line show girls.
7:15 literally makes me cry! She is absolutely DARLING, and it breaks my heart to see this precious baby girl trying to smile through pain. She really is a naturally gorgeous girl, and most importantly, she has a good heart! Wherever she is now, I’m sure she is still treating others with the kindness and respect she should have received. Tbh, this is a pageant mom I actually approve of because she clearly loves her daughter and doesn’t put her in to much makeup spend toooo much money on dresses and things. She just seems like a generally normal mom 😁

I A exactly most of the parents put like a butt load of fake tan and so much makeup they look like a drag queen (which drag queens are great but I don’t think that’s the look for little girl/child) I mean there are a few exceptions like some parents to it to help their child’s self esteem or (while pageants still aren’t great for children confidence) there are a couple parents who don’t even mention winning to their children and just do it for fun, but I agree that most of the parents have some issues and are trying to make their kids look like plastic dolls or something. (Don’t even get me started in the ones that give kids fake boobs lol)

I literally started crying, she looked so sad, and then she said she wanted to go home and sleep and I was like "no honey please you did great". Words cannot describe how naturally beautiful she is, I felt like I was looking at one of those old movies with beautiful princesses in them.
Wow so sad how some of the moms were sitting their laughing. I wish I knew this lady I would’ve done her hair and everything for free. I’m a licensed cosmetology educator and I also won 3 local pageants in Texas. She is absolutely beautiful and I am proud of her and the mom.💕💕You can tell she on limited income and just a little older.

It’s not very realistic to enter your daughter into a glitz pageant and then not do any of the things required for a glitz pageant. Just enter a natural pageant instead! This mom is just wasting money and probably making her daughter sad (because the daughter knows that she has no chance of winning-you can see it on her face).
Other girls: win plastic crowns
Her daughter: Wins self esteem for life!
She looked beautiful! She looked like she was having fun! The other kids never have fun, honestly!

She has the long princess hair I always dreamed of having when I was little. My mum never let me grow my hair longer than a short bob below the ears until I was 12. It's so sweet that her mum makes her pageant clothes.
Honestly that's probably because your mom had to mostly take care of your hair as a child and she probably wanted what was easy lol not saying that's right I think people should get to look how they want to look even if they are a child. Personal individuality is beautiful

There are very few of these down to earth pageant mom and daughters on here. I honestly love this. She’s taught her daughter to love herself in a healthy way. You can tell she does it because it’s fun for her daughter not because she wants to live through her.
