Doooood! You painted such a perfect picture with that "Mall Rock" tag! And that was totally "a thing" back in the day (though it did not have a name - it just "is what it is", or, was what it was). GREAT TIMES! All the metal and mainstream tunes were so on-point, all bangers.
I saw her on this tour on Nov 18, 1988 at the Franklin Pierce Colledge (now university) Fieldhouse. Rythnm Corps opened for her. It was a really great show. General admision and i was able to push myself up to the front of the stage. Good times!
Great song, Neal is nasty when he wants to be, A totally underrated player and there is a reason he has been getting co-billing with wife and musical soul mate Pat for decades now. To see them both just entering their prime and becoming superstars, seek them in 1983 in New Haven CT. An incredible set, they are looking to let the world know a new musical force has been unleashed. Try Heartbreaker, Pat is in raptor mode and Neal lets lose his inner Pete Townsend. Great, great stuff, that track is as good as I have ever seen it, and I saw them 3 times. Her voice and his guitar, WOW! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
I am a newbie here but I LOVE watching your reactions. If you are still interested in listening to country story songs, one of the best I've ever heard, but not well known is "What Have You Got Planned Tonight, Diana" by Merle Haggard.
Shame she had to wait until 2022 to be inducted into the Rock & Roll hall of fame. And actually had to say she'd decline it if they didn't induct her husband and guitarist of 40yrs Neil Giraldo who was just as big a part as her in making all the music they did. Absolutely both deserved to be in!! And just how ridiculous the R&R HOF is, it took Judas Priest until last year to get inducted as well.
Another classically trained vocalist to come over the best side of music and boy am I glad.
I loved Pat Benatar back in the day, and her music stands the test of time!
Been a fan of Pat Benatar since the ‘80s.

The coolest of the cool...admire her so much! ❤
Pat is one of the best female rockers of all time. Check out: Invincible, Promises in the Dark, and Hell is For Childen
Such a great talent!! Her music doesn’t age!!
