This video had shades of Groundhog Day. Doug finally had the perfect day and was able to advance to February 3. Having finally shaken his dark mood, he surveyed Biggin Hill and declared, "Let's live here."
I loved the enthusiasm for the Spitfire, second only to the Vulcan bomber for visceral effect at any airshow! Don’t tell my dad I said that though he’d disinherit me!
3:20 Not that I'd want to be accosted by a Hooligan, but that last one sounded so polite about it. He seemed legitimately sad and/or confused as to your whereabouts and lack of interest in the aforementioned beating. 😂
My father flew a Spitfire in the last war and I used to enjoy going to air show's. I am London born btw so I love this mod even more. Btw you can turn down the Storm and rain sounds, I did as some areas storm all the time.
Heh Keira still making molotovs in the pub for her side hustle lol. Maybe do a fast travel off camera and see if Keira returns. Another thing it could be characters go through their companion spiel leading to their companion quest. Wonder if its that thats stopping her from porting to you.
Hi, as I have told many fellow gamers, if you put 'strengthened' in 1 arm or leg armour you will not get crippled anything ever again. Also put dense in another and then getting blown up barely touches your health. I stepped on three frag mines and just walked away! Oh and asbestos in chest armour is great for when you get a Molotov hit you or flamer hardly hurts. 😉Years of playing Fallout 4 taught me that armour upgrades are essential especially on higher levels. Funny I wrote this before he mentioned making grenades and upgrading armour Lol. Caltrops I make to sell and to help level up when im close to a level up and steel junk costs nothing. 2-3 explosive expert is so amazing that throwing arc is a must have.
Wait is this confirmed? I've started putting strengthened on all limbs for Fallout: London. I thought it was 15% reduction in limb damage for each piece. ie. 60% with all 4.
@@GophersVids I put one upgrade on each limb and chest armour and I do not get crippled anything and I start doing the upgrades as soon as I get metal pieces. I often buy metal from the vendors as soon as I can and if you check the stats of them later in game they get pieces that are say 15-18 damage resist before you upgrading. Thats why mine are 28 on arms and legs, also the legendary pieces upgrade much lower so I dont use them. My armour now with ballistic weave on under clothes and a hat it is 403 damage resist but I also have perks from Archie, Kiera, Arthur Mountbatten and just got Mad Jack's as well. Sometimes a companion will not go into a certain building I find them waiting outside and if I lose someone I go back to my settlement or to where I got them in the 1st place and they are usually at 1 of those places.
@@PerfectAlibi1 Yes that is what I do and the most important perks as I level up are armourer and gun nut as staying alive is the most important to me. I have played Fallout 4 for many years on console and PC so I am used to doing the upgrades this way and at level 53 I dont get crippled, blown up or burned to death. I stand in front of a flamer guy and use vats to kill him as I cant see through the fire.
Something tells me Gopher visited Biggin Hill when he was a kid. He even knew the names of the planes at the gates. Or can anyone learn those names from promotional pamphlets?
My uncle lived close by and actually was part of a 'club' that had a building inside the Airport. I visited it once and for some reason it really stuck in my mind.
@@21Malkavian No mate, I was about to troll *you* for not having more general knowledge. Not consuming libraries of books when you were young, like a "proper nerd". Nothing personal, though! : )

There's a mod for Skyrim where you can look at an alchemical component (Blue Mountain Flowers, for instance), and the UI will tell you what effects it has (Restore Health, Fortify Health, Dmg Magicka Regen, etc.). Fallout 4 could use a UI mod like that for scrap items. You could say it's unimmersive, but it sounds more convenient than having to open the Pip/Atta-Boy every single time.
@@GophersVids Its not all the time but im rewatching jack playtrough out of nostalgia. Right now at a point your going trough some AWOP zones about to shoot a turret or jackel gang member and click click or just pointing a shotgun around corners with 0/5 bullets in the chamber. I assume it because your trying to talk, be entertaining and still play so the reflex to reload or check ammo count is diminished.
Biggin Hill is unfortunately the most annoying of settlements, really damned annoying, Mostlyu because its a nightmare to reach it on foot, but also because after all the trouble it takes to unlock it, the build area is a tiny rectangle in the middle of a vast field.
@@GophersVids Oh, I only meant those models in the game! According to Google maps the real place seems to be as you say. But I was never there myself sadly. edit: It seems that in 1973 there used to be two Spitfires with four blades propeller instead, according to some photos. Later changed to earlier Spitfire and Hurricane. So the game and you are both right. Who would have thought.
Oh yeah. Most of the places in Fallout: London are based upon real life locations. I'm not a Londoner myself, so I don't really know the place at all. But I've been to Biggin Hill :)
Take scrapper.....please.....you will continue to struggle to improve if you cannot salvage better materials.... If you don't improve, you'll never get past the "difficulty" system of Bugthesda, and these videos will literally never cease to be duller than dogshite.
It's a good short term perk, but long term it's a lot less useful. At a certain point you have more junk than you can use, and the upgrades you get with that junk seem less powerful than in the base game. At later levels I quickly get to a point where I lack the crafting perks to use the junk I already have. In Fallout 4 I always take that perk, but in FOLON I just find myself really wanting a lot of other perks more. Oddly enough, many of the perks I end up taking in this play through are ones I'd never have used in Fallout 4. FOLON seems harder in general, but it also seems to de-emphasize a lot of the old "must have" perks that I always ended up taking in Fallout 4.
@@GophersVids That's a way to look at it. Another is, struggle to make any headway because Bugthesda tryhard mode keeps raping you because you can't afford to upgrade into it....
Im level 53 and dont have scrapper as there is tons of junk everywhere and now my guns and armour are so good I dont need to upgrade them. My armour totals 403 and im using powerful guns and I make grenades that with the explosive perk I can take out a group of enemy with 1 grenade. I played F4 for years and yes this is harder but I managed because the armour and gun nut perks I think are the most important of them all to keep getting each of them as I level up. Plus im one of the few ppl I have seen who actually make Squirrel Stew and all chems that get me more (Int) and XP and highlight the enemies.
The upgrades in FOLON don't seem as impactful as the base game. That might be my imagination, or it might just be that I didn't realise how weak they were in Fallout 4. But honestly, taking perks in something like Big Leagues or Rifleman gives a better bonus than the crafting perks and doesn't require components or a bench. And when you consider that you need to take the crafting perks AND scrapper to use them well, I honestly felt like there were so many better perks to get. PLUS, you can often find weapons with the good mods attached, so you sometimes get the best of both worlds.

It was fun to hear Gopher excited about something from real world past.
When that first highwayman sprinted towards Doug I had an Inigo in vision. Someone help please 😂
Decades of being hunted by dogs and men on horseback forced foxes to evolve its cut but ruthless killing machines.
Gopher doing both a fallout play through and a Skyrim play through is great.

Caltrops were fun to use in my playthrough along with frag mine so they walk thru 1 get slowed then can run away from mine 😂
Out of curiosity i looked it up in Google street view. Even the Biggin Hill Memorial Museum is there with the airplanes and chapels. Cool.
