In my 50 yrs of radio, this extraordinary radio I have just received has left me stunned, I can not put it down. I turned it on in the bedroom thinking I will need to connect a longer wire to receive anything, how WRONG I was, stations were coming in as if it was connected to a external 20mtr wire, and the band was pretty bad! I can not put it down, having the headphones on acts as a counterpoise, so does holding it, in fact I only extend 4 sections of the telescopic antenna and still hear the quiet stations((also with the gain turned down a couple of notches below 14mhz ) makes it more hand holdable and its great to use in bed, or on a deckchair! The Chinese Malachite and Tecsun PL660 I have will see very little use as they don't come anywhere near this little marvel. And the Price for about £130 from the maker is unbeatable. The radio spent a month at Langley post office UK and customs for some strange reason, it said duty to pay in red on the parcel but it was delivered without me being asked for any money, (robbin Bas-----). This thing thinks its a large hf Icom!
I just received my Belka-DX receiver and can say that it is better on the telescopic antenna than my newly purchased standalone Afedri receiver but I amazed what can be picked up by both receivers on just the telescopic antennas....73 Great video!
Belka has produced a fine amazing small receiver that indeed is competitive with almost any other receiver -- the AM1 and AM2 is a bit hard to figure out, and I usually use AM1 for SW listening. The new larger battery back with speaker and metal feet is also excellent and does not make the Belka DX much fatter than the original speaker back...
My Belka DX arrived about 2 weeks ago, I have not yet tried it with any large antenna, but I could already listen to US rag chewers on 80 m, heard e. g. US, Japan or Indonesia on 40 m, have been listening to a VK on 20 m while standing in the back yard and can hear the czech QRP beacon on 80 m almost every evening etc. All with the telescopic whip. Apart from a birdies on the higher bands (especially 15 m) and some display noise on the lower end of 40 m and the upper end of 80 m, it is a nice receiver, especially when compared to my Chinese Malahite clone, if one is just into HF and can live wthout real-time spectrum etc. Have the version without the speaker, mainly because of the larger battery...
I just received my Belka and came across your video review. I am interested in what type of outdoor antenna do you recommend for the Belka? No problem to use whip in the summer but I live in Canada and winter is coming soon enough. Thanks
Ich würde sagen Fenu, wirklich ein fabelhaftes Radio..! Unglaublich, was alles das Ding kann.

Great comparison.... I can say that now a cheap SDR receiver can compete with expensive pro hf receivers
Excelente aporte. Cada día vemos cómo evolucionan los equipos SDR con mejores prestaciones. 73 desde México.
Прекрасный джазик. По началу подумал это ZAZ
Can you receive airband frequencies with this radio to listen to ATC?

Works well with a loop antenna, I use a active loop indoors.
Good job!
What settings do you have on the software for the I/Q input? I plan on using HDSDR.
Onde compro um desses?
E quanto custa?
