Man I was there that day, all the wayyyy at the top as usual during those pistons days. About 6-8 years old, 24 now. I'll never forget tho how connected everybody was and how dope the moment was. Chauncey was the last to come out and they brought out the fire again, I can feel it on my face every time. Then the announcer guy goes "Chaunceyyyy... B-B-B-B-Billups." Crazy I had no idea the moment I was in at the time. Crowd used to be so packed every seat was filled. Crazy atmosphere so glad I got to experience especially since Detroit ain't been the same since at all. They can't even fill up the little Caesars arena. I can't believe I never looked this up before to relive it lol but I'm here now leggo

Why are people comparing Chauncey's return to LeBron's? Chauncey never wanted to leave, he was traded. LeBron just bailed on Cleveland and sold them out on national television. The fans had every right to boo him when he came back. Comparing the way both of them left their teams is stupid because it's two completely different scenarios. Get a clue, people.

LeBron didn't stab his team. He waited for 7 years in that franchise, for at least some help. All he got was a washed-up Shaq, Antwan Jamison, and Mo Williams. If anything, the Cavs stabbed LeBron in the back, by not helping him at all. And the Cavs fans that booed him in his return back to CLE for a game, stabbed him in the back. He deserved cheers for actually making that team relevant again, and even bringing them to the finals.

Compare those players to the help Jordan and Kobe got. And it was ESPN's idea to hold "The Decision." Oh yeah, btw, "The Decision" raised thousands of dollars for the Boys and girls Club Foundation. And he didn't screw the team over. As I said before, he constantly made that team a playoff team for 7 years. always going to at least the 2nd round. But you also need good help to win it all.
