Hello! i love your videos so much that i have begun flying in flight simulators! i wish to become an airbus pilot in the future cause it seems so simple and straight forward, Please continue with these POV videos! I really enjoyed this one, even tho it whas short!
Thank you very much for your financial support as a channel member and for your helpful feedback! Right now, I am testing some new camera perspectives. I also like this one very much. It looks like I will use this view more often. Have a nice day!
Thanks a lot for sharing your good and helpful feedback! Also, thank you very much for your financial support of the channel as a member! Have a great day!
Stefan is so close to strapping a gopro on every passenger! I can't overstate how much I enjoy watching your videos! And Madeira is always a blast to see!
Best aviation videos from a real cockpit on UA-cam! No gimmicks, no silly sound effects or repetitive loud music, no silly editing, none of the usual UA-cam annoyances. Just lets the content speak for itself. Wonderful work, Sir. I’m glad your company allow you to do this.
Love this POV video. I bet the 1st officer thought, what the hell is my captain doing when you strapped that go pro onto your head lol. In the future, am sure of it, Go-pro & others, will have created two tiny 4k/8k cameras that will fit just above each eye, to give full immersive 3d stereoscopic videos, showing as close as humanly possible, to what the actual person wearing them is seeing. It will be great for us plebs to see what its really like, through the eyes of others, to see sights we would never normally be privy too. Great flying and video thanks.
What a welcome change in perspective! I love the POV! Please don't feel like you have to do it all the time now, but we'll gladly welcome the times we do get to see it!
@ervzx7614 Thanks for your good feedback and your financial support of the channel! I will keep your request in mind! It may take some time because my duty schedule is always a surprise. Have a nice day!
That was amazing - it's great to see a landing approach with an unstabilised camera - gives a perspective you just don't get usually. Thank you Captain Head.
Fantastic perspective and beautiful landing! May I feature the first POV in one of my next episodes? Of course with a link back to your original video. All the best to you!
Impressive approach, I imagine due to the prevailing wind on this difficult approach, touchdown a little far from the ideal landing area but within the limits and even so you were able to brake to exit through B. Incredible, fantastic. This airport is very complicated.
Love this, great choice of airport to try it on, too! I wonder if Pedro (Madeira Airport live streamer) caught this landing, then we could see it from the ground also 🙂
Fantastic Video. Can we expect more videos in this POV? I would love to see more videos in this kind of first person to receive more daily impressions of an airline pilot like you are.
Vielen vielen Dank !
Good morning captain A great perspective using the POV Hope you had a great Xmas and have a happy new year to you and your family and team. Looking forward to watching all your adventures in 2025 👍🧑✈️
Sehr cool!
Hello! I really enjoy your videos as a pilot trying to land his first airline job. This shows true insight on how a flight can be operated. I have been invited for BQ at eurowings later this spring. Do you mind if I reach out from some general questions? All the best from Sweden
This is a fantastic idea and addition to your channel! Thank you! Just curious, given all the safety regulations and procedures, did you have to get approval from your airline before putting a camera on your head whilst landing?
Thanks for your good feedback and your financial support of the channel as a member! In general, I do not comment in public on regulations and procedures which are the basis for the videos. I ask for your understanding. Have a great day!
Thanks for sharing your good feedback and for your financial support of the channel as a member! I am in the process of trying some different cockpit views. This is one of the possibilities. It's good to hear that you like the view! Have a wonderful day!
Wow!
Great video captain, I would like to give you some suggestions - 1. We want full flight videos with this POV concept. 2. Your audio comes great in the video but what lacking is the Airplane sound. A balance of both will look and sound great. Thank you for entertaining us, love from India.

Dear Stefan, couldn't you have landed with less than 144 kt? Or do the payload and/or wind conditions not allow a landing in the 121 - 125 kt range? Thanks for the POV view of the landing in Madeira, a really challenging airport and approach.

Depending on the weather, we add sometimes a few knots at Madeira airport, especially if we expect downdrafts or a windshear during the final approach.
I have a question regarding the break intensity: did you had to brake hard to be able to stop the aircraft near the taxiway? That is something you can't really feel in the PC simulator ... The auotbrake was set to low and you deactivated it quite early after touch down an applied manual breaking, I guess with auotbrake low on you would have passed the taxiway that's why I think it was quite a hard braking? Just a question for me to get a better feeling and imagination as at home on my pc simulator a can more or less take any time I want and don't need to be too optimized as in real life ;)
First of all: Thank you very much for your financial support of the channel as a member! Correct, I used max reverse and autobrake low. The touchdown was earlier than calculated in our landing performance computation. I switched off the autobrake and used some manual braking with the goal to leave the runway to the right instead of doing the time consuming backtrack procedure at one of the turning points. Braking was not very hard, maybe a touch more than autobrake low. Max reverse plus the upslope of the runway helped a lot to decelerate the A321.
Where do you pilots look when you are landing... Do you look at little square on PFD to make it on center or you look mostly outside or both ...? Where do the eyes of the pilot concentrate most? Please I am very curious to know...

Ist das der Flug vom 14. November?

I have a question regarding the break intensity: did you had to brake hard to be able to stop the aircraft near the taxiway? That is something you can't really feel in the PC simulator ... Hello Captain. What's the average N1% when doing that U turn on the runway?
This is very different. We usually to it with asymmetric thrust. This means on one engine idle thrust and on the other whatever is needed to keep the airplane turning. It depends a lot on the Airplane model, the weight, how tight the turn is and the runway-slope.
