It makes me sad to think that if Andrew had not given it one last try, we would not have him in the show, because he is just that good. Continue to amaze me Andrew.
I get choked up when I think of how wonderfully he portrays emotions. Two of my favorite examples are when he's in the RV, season 6 and the walkers are coming, the RV won't start. The sheer desperation he conveys. The second is when they first arrive in Alexandria and he's in the car. The close up of his face. His eyes, how his expression changes when he hears the children inside the gates.
Those are great examples, my new favourite is when Negan asks Rick to cut Carl's hand off, that whole scene gives me goosebumps, Andrew's acting is just mind-blowing.
The look on his face after Negan leaves with Eugene was priceless. In that moment I believe he realized no matter what he did Negan was going to kill people. His efforts meant nothing to that serial killer!
(Peace from Sheila Burns) (2) of my favorite scenes: Rick's devastation when he looks at Carl and knows Lori is dead. He cries/screams in agony and falls to the ground .... I was done!!!! ... Boohooing like crazy. And in the premiere, S7E1, when they show a close up of Rick's eyes as he drives the RV away from the horror. OMG!!!! Andrew Lincoln's eyes are so damn expressive!!! He is so great in emotional scenes as well as so many tough physical scenes. Love Rick and TWD!!!
Andrea Carpenter I agree with the scenes you mentioned! Another fantastic I love is the scene in Season 3x07 (When the Dead Come Knocking), when Rick finds Carol is still alive, and she sees Judith for the first time and realizes Lori is gone. When she looks at Rick and he falls apart and cries there...I well up myself. lol
Fun fact: Lincoln's real name is "Andrew Clutterbuck." In Stephen King's fictitious Castle Rock universe, there's a Sheriff's Deputy in Castle County named "Andy Clutterbuck." Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes. Deputy Sheriff Andrew Clutterbuck. Just one of those strange cosmic coincidences.
What you guys missed is he didn't say 25 auditions for The walking Dead. He may have done 25 different auditions for 25 different roles and finally got one. Just because you additional I does not mean you're worth more.
Dude. I miss Rick. Andy's so dang good. He brought so so much to that character. This little interview makes me want to see him in other things...but seeing certain looks and mannerisms...just makes me miss the one and only Rick Grimes.
When he says generosity it hits me in my head with the word sacrifice. He does live in England. His family visits the sets. There is a lot if that there. Much respect.
Why is this guy so underrated? Take for example Daniel Craig , James McAvoy, Brad Pitt just to name a few...they are so meh...yet they are bigger stars. Lincoln's acting range is so extreme he can go from happy to rage to despair in one episode. Legend!!
i mean jon bernthal is way bigger than andrew even though he only played in 2 seasons of twd. but that was the good thing. afterwards ppl wanted him in different movies and genres and people found out about him. If you didnt watch twd you dont know andrew lincoln. or most ppl dont.
He really helped me with this interview because I am so afraid of failing at my auditions but it took 25 auditions for him! He is so talented and I have just started so maybe I should realise it is hard but that I still need to believe in myself and keep going.
Hahaha.. well atleast you are straight forward wish Majority of women was like that.. haha.. random women walks up to a man she is attracted to. I tell you what. You make my Panties melt Haha
some of his costars from TWD said he gets perms for his hair. I figured they were joking, but his hair looks really straight compared to the curls he has in the show
Acting has always intrigued me. That and comedy are two things I'd love to get into. But I have issues and fears which hold me back from doing what I want most. I'm more than a little shy and introverted (if you prefer the labels), which make me want to avoid most social situations, not to mention stage fright. I also have problems with my speech and that makes me especially self conscious (as if my low self-esteem needed more of a burden). I could go on, but you get the idea. I know what I want to do, I just dunno how I'll go about doing it yet.
You know he's a worthy actor when you watch his show and then watch him talk off-stage and it makes you think "wow, he's british???" edit: Also, CAAAARRRRRRRRLLLLLLL
I hope they remake some Clint Eastwood movies using Andy. He’s got that fire in his eyes and the ability to play Dirty Harry and Jose Whales.....any of them.
Andy is fucking brilliant even though I don’t watch the show anymore he was the reason I tuned in amazing acting ability say what you want about the show can’t deny the talent this man has should have won an emmy by now
He is my favorite character damn he and dyrl Kept me going on damn the whole series makes me wanna climb up a wall and meet them and thell them how amazing they are..
@marym5037 wooaaahhh i dont remember writing this comment or watching this video. i would never call rick annoying! im rewatching the show and i love him
Here you go Eric (mate), nothing to do with shoveling shit. :-) What Does Name "Clutterbuck" Mean You are cheerful and friendly, but are apt to have an emotional life. You like to have several lines of effort going at once. You are a good talker and promoter and seldom worry over anything. At times, you can be impatient, and impulsive. You have the ability to bring an idea to completion. You can express yourself joyously and constructively. You might be psychic, but not know it.Emergencies may raise your intuitive abilities in order to resolve conflict or situation. You become very creative under the pressure, and have quite original ideas to make the best out of it. You are always looking for a chance to do your own thing, to be your own person, and to have things done your own way.
I wanna be on the walking dead so badly. I might make my own episode that's away from all these characters and set in a different place and then pass it off as an audition
I’ve always wanted to talk and see Andrew Clutterbuck my one reason is because my last name is the same as his and I really want to ask a bunch of questions it would probably be the best time of my life
Utter and Uck are not great sounding parts to have in a name. The advice was sound, if you have a stupid sounding name you use a stage name. A lot of the mainstream people don't use real names such as Demi Moore, Martin Sheen, Joaquin Phoenix (Real name Bottom), Whoopi Goldberg, Kirk Douglas, Audrey Hepburn, ... there's many more throughout screen history I just can't recall them right now.
WHO EVER WANTS TO GET INTO ACTING, SHOULD LISTEN TO THIS MAN. HE IS A FANTASTIC ACTOR.
BorgesProduction he’s inspired me to want to be an actor
I want to be an actor :)
Yeah..He really is,I want to be an actor for a long time, he inspired me.And he is an awesome actor.
People's chances of realistically becoming actors nowadays is VERY slim, sadly.
He is such a Underrated Actor, like he definitely NEEDS more recognition and hell....deserves an oscar or Emmy.
It makes me sad to think that if Andrew had not given it one last try, we would not have him in the show, because he is just that good.

I feel like this guy would’ve been great in game of thrones with his normal accent
C pat12 I reckon he could’ve done Jorah Mormont well. Don’t get me wrong Iain glen did a great job. But it’s the grittiness of the character.
Ikr..

Handsome, down to earth and quite insightful... hope film industry gives him at least few more opportunities.
Thats crazy, but have you ever had 99 insight
His name is Andrew but people call him Andy, and he has that face and voice.
He’s very attractive. You can’t deny it.
Having no family connections and being one of the most iconic characters. He deserves it

That's pretty sick
Such a gentleman, i'm in love with this man.

i mean jon bernthal is way bigger than andrew even though he only played in 2 seasons of twd. but that was the good thing. afterwards ppl wanted him in different movies and genres and people found out about him. If you didnt watch twd you dont know andrew lincoln. or most ppl dont.
He probably could be in a flick like those guys, but simply doesn't want that sort of role or be in that sort of film.
He's such a great actor and a real humble guy.
I truly just love this man he is my favorite actor and great one love him.
