I love Gia, not just because she's from Chicago, but because she's wonderful inside and out. She's adorable, and I wish we would have seen more from her. Also, she posted this on my birthday! :)
I suppose it's her intention that her character looks so stupid. Someone who has a training in the kabuki tradition can't be as shallow as what Gia Gunn was sometimes delivering in the competition. To quote a famous judge, part of me says it's genius (the fact that she's always in the character), part of me doesn't quite understand. The thing is she is a genuine artist and that's what matters at the end of the day. After all, Drag Race is not the best context to dig into a a drag artist's depth...(I am total fan, but I guess you understand what I mean...)
I'm not gonna front, I've always love Gia. But then again, I loved most of the queens. Ive learned that RPDR tries to paint girls a certain way for the sake of storyline and competition. In reality, though, a very large percentage of these queens are hard working and talented.
