I remember distinctly when I first got into the series, and I expected Sasha and Violet to have this feminine voices based on first glance, and then I heard them speak and I was like 😶. Definitely was not expecting them to have the voices they did, though not mad about it.

I love how Katya treated Violet. I think she got why violet acted like she did and understood that she was just young and shy and sort off used her walls to protect herself. Katya didn’t take it personal, she tried to help her and let Violet help her back.

She did occasionally ruin moments with her mouth, but generally yeah she wasn't as bad as queens made her out to be post-show. While rewatching the season I didn't quite get why she got so much hate.

They honestly bullied all of the younger queens. I watched Season 7 back recently and it made me so mad how bitter and rude they were towards Violet as well as Trixie and Pearl.

yeah i really did not like ginger nor kennedy this season. both are EXTREMELY talented queens so it's strange to me that they would feel insecure enough to bully the younger queens (namely pearl and violet)

S7 having majority of acting challenges makes it obvious Ginger was supposed to win 🤭

Actually Michelle has been on record saying that after the past four seasons (S4 and S5 to a lesser extent, S3 and S6 to a great extent), production wanted to crown a queen who the younger generation could relate to more since the show was heading more towards a mainstream direction, namely a queen who was younger in age. Keep in mind each queen's storyline during S7 and it becomes clear that production wanted a young queen to win given that the older queens were constantly being presented in negative ways, e.g. Tempest being salty about being called old, Jasmine giving up, Kasha being confrontational during critiques, Kennedy and Ginger criticizing younger queens. Meanwhile, Pearl got away with metaphorically slapping Ru in the face and still made top 3 over Kennedy who had a better track record AND Violet won the season tied with Max as the youngest queen on the cast, and while I'm not saying that's why she won, her age was a determining factor.

The fact that she won a season that was full of acting/comedy challenges is quite impressive considering the fact that that's out of her comfort zone. If they had a ball or another design challenge she probably would've had 4 wins.
I've always thought that Ginger did better in the challenges overall so I was a little bit surprised that she won BUT I'm glad that she did because she is a great representation of how Next Drag SuperStar should look like.

Violet has the confidence a queen on her level has the right to have. She is a fashion icon, has immaculate taste, is knowledgeable in pop culture and knows her shit, has the respect of her peers and the actual quality of her performances is one that no other queen is doing. Chachki is out there in Werk the World doing aerial and blowing fire. She is that one winner that has proven every year more and more that she was the right winner of her season.

Violet has absolutely unshakeable self confidence and I fucking love that for her. So many queens are like "I'm a fierce bitch" but they don't actually believe it, they're faking it until they make it. But Violet HAS no "inner saboteur", she sabotages some things (friendships maybe, professional relationships sometimes) but she genuinely does not ever seem to feel upset or sad or bad about herself. It's inspiring honestly.
This exactly, Violet has aged so well since her season became she has kept her very unwavering confidence but has very much softened the way she presents herself online. Another queen to have that is Lux and people hated her for it as well. It's really weird
Isn't it funny how Season 7 was the season so many people hated, yet it gave us one of the most popular winners in Violet, two of the most successful queens in Katya and Trixie and also some of the most loved queens (Ginger, Kennedy, Jasmine, Fame, Kasha, and on and on and on).

Violet always keeps it real and that’s what I love about her. Some people just can’t handle it when someone doesn’t play the humility game AND is confident enough to not fake being “nice”. I’d rather a queen who tells it as it is to my face rather than someone who’s nice to my face but stabs me from behind.
What I love about Violet is that the season was stacked against her so hard. They obviously wanted to give a young, fashion queen the crown… and then made so many of the challenges acting challenges?? They could’ve pulled a season 3 with multiple design challenges but instead half the season was acting lol. And yet despite having acting powerhouses like Ginger and Max on the season Violet STILL managed to pull through and get (deservedly) crowned! I was SO happy watching from home. She never had to lip sync and still felt like the underdog in a way? I love her so much.
the thing i loved most is how kennedy and ginger said violet had zero experience therefore she didn't deserve the win. how funny, she literally kicked their asses, i bet both kennedy and ginger felt incredibly humiliated.
