Bonjour form France. We have also just passed the 1 million BEVs on the road. Solar installations have also gone crazy with 3.7 Gw being installed in 2023, a third of that was by homes and businesses for self-consumption. This may explain why the demands on the French grid have not risen, despite another 600,000 home heat pumps and all the EVs we have here now.
Refurbishing nuclear reactors as well.
The EPR is in the activation cycle, loading fuel.
And many newer EPR2 designs intended.
Bright look on the future.
So this actor wants to stop me using my ice car but at the same time jetting all round the world My carbon footprint counts to climate change his doesn't apparently
@@davebaker8362You know that you can offset your carbon emissions on your flights. Are you offsetting your emissions from your fossil fuel car?
@@davebaker8362 When people start criticising other people's carbon footprint my response is as follows.... 'Mind your own carbon business!'...then ask yourself what YOU can do to reduce/minimise YOUR carbon footprint. You can't do anything about what other people do but you do have control on what YOU do. So, 'this actor' just happens to be married to an Australian who has family there and he was leading a business event in Australia.
@@davebaker8362He's been driving EVs powered by solar panels since 2012. So have I for nearly the same amount of time. How have you reduced your carbon footprint?
Is it me or does the background make Robert look like he is in a police lineup?
You haven't been to Albury, lol.
He's fine, thank you Susan.
Usual suspects?
Lol, the only thing missing was the height markings 😊
I thought he looked miniaturised to 6 inches tall and sitting in front of a note pad
Thank you, Robert.
I bet the uk press don’t comment on the uk show next week!
They're too busy manufacturing hate and political capital by demonising protestors against poverty, protestors against oil, protestors against Genocide in Gaza - and Trans people.
We need to get someone famous to go, well apart from Bobby.
Sadly that’s a very safe bet.
Aotearoa electric vehicles on April 1st will pay 3x more tax than petrol cars.

Are you sure about that?
Have you heard of Google?
It's quite handy for fact checking ... Google will locate the UK Gov websites so anyone can see for themselves if your statement is true.
Perhaps you should have done the same?
Game over for fossil fuel transport, and game on for solar PV, domestic as well as commercial.
Thanks a mil and good luck 🍀

I was one of those whinging Melbournians. Two years running; damn spoilt Sydneysiders. Much love to the Everything Electric team.

Congratulations on a successful show in Australia. Always glad to get the latest from our electric godfather.

I love Robert's sound effects repertoire.
Thank you Robert for miles of smiles over the years, from Red Dwarf to Fully Charged. Keep up the good work. Love to you and the team. Here’s to a better, safer sustainable future.
Great content + humour 👏👏
Thanks Fully Charged, another great episode. I do love Mr Llewellyn rants.
Bobby's had a rant!

I love this Rant,😊 the Highlander.
I love these episodes! Keep up the good work dudes! 😎
A smaller MG ZF should be electric
Yup sound about right for Sydney, massive SUV and Yoga pants
and constantly on their phone when driving (could be in Germany)
Whoa!! Robert is just too laid back when he is "Down Under".
We need him home ASAP so his BS meter can get a few jabs and we get back to the massively truthful and entertaining rants we enjoy big time.
Good round up of data in this episode though as usual.
Enjoy the EE Show London everyone. I'll be sitting here in Canada patiently waiting for Spring.
We can do without him here.
It was very difficult to provide statistics that proved beyond doubt that 2nd hand cigarette smoke really harmed any great amount of children or adults ..but it's not very hard to provide data and statistics that prove beyond doubt exhaust emission's harm a LOT of children and adults and yet there is no big media war and shaming campaign being made against people still using fossil fuel vehicles like the one that was waged on smokers.
Exactly!
Maybe shame people for driving big gas guzzlers, but shaming ALL people for driving ICE's would be stupid until EV becomes a viable alternative for everyone.
Rob omitted the fact that cars contribute about 3% of the carbon emissions from all engines used, so turning all cars electric won't solve the problem. If he is really concerned, stop pushing his barrow and start looking at ways to tackle the 97%.
@@aussieideasman8498 Nope that's just not the case, if you follow this channel they're clear that transport as awhole is only a small part of decarbonising. You appear to be a PP troll.
@@aussieideasman8498 turning all cars electric would improve the air quality and thus the health of people and children living near busy roads.
Thanks Robert ,great news.
Great program Robert its nice to get stories and facts about whats going on in the world from a trustworthey source
Come to Brisbane next time. Sydney and Melbourne can suck it.
Love the rant - keep it up. Have an EBike and plan to replace our aging ICE Mazda 2 this year with an EV. Australians have an over the top love of the car.

That was a very private car-centric video. Would love to see a lot more on public transport, utility vehicles and so on. That’s what should be dominating the news.
Making batteries is very green don't you know??!!
Enjoyed the show in Sydney, good excuse to go up to Sydney, a pity there's no fast train to get us there from Melbourne.
The big risk with pacemaker and CRT batteries is every 10 years when they are changed its a surgical operation and risks infection, so a battery tech that lasts 50 or so years would save so many lives .❤
Recyclable then.
@aussieideasman8498 sure. Why not.
@@davidspencer7254 Won't infect the guy that had it first.
@aussieideasman8498 obviously. If you mean the person that has it second assume it would be used for the same person and would not be disinfectable. The risk with inserting a CRTD or Pacemaker is not primarily from the device, but from the surgery.
@@davidspencer7254 I am with you, but am just being funny. Too much watching Billy Connolly.
Thanks for the info Robert. Look forward to seeing the Fully charged Gang in London on Saturday. Boys from the dwarf. Had EV for 5 years, never going back. I've saved so much money.

I am an owner of two new electric vehicles. I used to have two Audi 3.0D, which I loved. Initially, it was a bit strange transitioning to electric cars, but now it is much easier, and I have not faced any issues. I just needed to adjust my charging routine by letting them run down and then charging them at home or work. The fuel cost savings are brilliant. Although purchasing two cars at once was a bit extravagant, I am now used to it, and it has been great for me and my family. However, it may not be ideal for everyone. I been using a new GLE 450 for a few weeks, and it was excellent, but at 25p to 30p per mile, I do not miss the expense. On the other hand, electric cars are costing me 6.15p per mile for the ID3 or 12.2p per mile for the E-Tron, even during the day.
Thank you, Robert, the Highlander p. Yes. Kindness is always free.😊
MAGNIFICENT!!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Would be really interested in seeing an exhibitor list for the Harrogate show. Many thanks.
I did notice that there were a few cars missing from the ( North ) Harrogate Show compared to the ( South ) Farnborough show last year 2023.
@@David_Parr Thanks David.
If the backdrop was moving around, Robert would make a great Max Headroom.
And yet, the ff energy use is still not coming down in Australia... Jeven's Effect.
Love you and your show. 🛺
Good to see fully charged being more honest about nuclear energy.
It's one the largest clean energy sources.
Yes ... until one is obliged to deal with the waste.
Why on earth do you suppose we develop renewables?
The alleged holy grail of nuclear fusion is probably weeks away so we can't rely on that.
See you at Everything Electric Show Live London 😊😊❤❤❤
Hydrogen is the Betamax of alternate fuels.
8track!
Quite so.
And soon to be the fuel of choice.
For everything.
No need to argue, simply Google
Except bmax was better than vhs
Hrrrm,... Betamax was the backbone of the BetaS, SP and SX (digital) broadcast camera and tapedeck formats, those were still in use,.. sorry, are still in use,... in broadcast for decades after VHS was gone.
Mostly in the Archive Libraries now, but still out as production cameras into the 2010's.
100% on that 'rant' about hulking great SUVs used as a fashion statement. One of THE WORST consequences of the Australian community's parental-paranoia about going out in public on the city and suburban streets.
"Can't possibly let my kids ride their bikes to school; there are too many crazy SUV drivers out there" 🙄
The greatest destroyers of community, environment and road safety.
Wow! Robert owns two phones! That's flash!
MG its an amazing story! I really hope Lotus can also revive and tbh ive seen some great signs!
My neighbor said the tarmac roads will have to be resurfaced because of the torque from electric motors 😂😂😂
Not entirely wrong.
In UK we have been treated to an outbreak of potholes on minor roads.
Could that be associated with heavy battery powered private cars?
Probably only a matter of time before the AA comes out with a press release.
This could be solved with simple regulation of power output. You don't need sports car torque and it doesn't make you a safer driver

Y'know, EVs are better than fuel cars
But it'd be nice if we had more transit options
Electric trains anyone? They've existed for 100 years and have always been zero emissions
A good idea. By shifting freight long range you can do far more good than worrying about women going for a coffee. Go back to having smaller delivery trucks that can replace the big interstate haulers that are not amenable to electric drive; they are able to be electric.
Brake dust.
The tube network is full of it.
And it gets wafted all over so regular users of the system might have unknowingly inhaled a fair old bit.
UK Intercity locos use diesel engines and you would/should be unhappy at the diesel exhaust fumes.
@@t1n4444 trust me, I am
The UK's rail network is a shambles. Other countries have it mostly down to a fine art, and all electric trains (particularly multiple units) should capitalize on regenerative breaking.
Break dust and tyre wear are the worst of pollutants besides fossil fumes, and cars and trucks are the worst for it
@@t1n4444 which lines? both the east coast, west coast and entire south east network is electric
😂😂😂
Something you could research for yourself.
Loved everything electric in Sydney. Defining moment was Sunday afternoon waiting for a test drive. There was a conga line of cars moving slowly around the indoor staging area. Something was missing. Absolutely no odours. The whole exhibition hall would have been choking if the cars had not been electric.
Very warm you lucky sod 😆
Robert, my wife and I appreciate your work. RE, affordable cars, my wife wants a replacement for her Mazda 3, high bar there as it is affordable, a blast to drive, roomy, and reliable. I want to replace my Dodge Ram construction pickup with a Canoo it that brand survives. And, we need a 30 or 40 kWh home storage battery for $10,000 US. Get affordable batteries into everybody’s homes and you will also put an EVin their garage!
In Australia, every time cheaper batteries go on to the market (which isn’t that often) the feed in tariff goes up as does the connection fee. This changes the economics just enough to make battery update stall again. After a bit of arguing I got 20% off my consumption charge and a similar amount off my connection fee. It would take 17.8 years for me to break even on a 10Kwh home battery, if I fully discharged it every day. We both know the batteries need to be cheaper and last about twice as long as they currently do
What’s the cost of batteries there at the minute? In the UK at the moment you can get a 15.5kWh LFP battery (Fogstar) for £2,084 (VAT not applicable)
@@Dominic_Boltongrade A from a quality battery manufacturer?
@@ab-ym3bf you would need to confirm that yourself, I don’t have one…
They do sell both grade A & B LFP cells on their site so you can make up a battery to suit your requirements and budget
I wasn’t convinced about the news of electric cars sales slowing down… I literally see new electric cars everyday on the road during my commute and I thought that it couldn’t be an isolated case…
I see at least ten teslas everyday. I've seen at least one lucid, a few hybrids and I'm sure I've missed other brands that I'm just not familiar with their look.
The last 6 months have seen what looks like an explosion of EVs to me. And I drive very local.
Forget about those Melbourne Smeg Heads, Brisbane Show please.
Thanks for bringing the FC Team and visiting Australia. Can't agree more on the 'Toorak' tractor, unnecessarily large city SUV never driven off-road, use in Australia particularly in your face in school carparks.
Look forward to next Aussie show......maybe in Brisbane?
I remember washing and drying my white shirts when I was grape picking in Mildura. Dried and bleached white in no time. Great.
BYD is doing well because they are making cars that people want for a reasonable price. Some people still want buttons and stalks in a vehicle. Not everyone wants 'self-driving'. Thankfully, BYD realises this!
As for Ford's EV sales, I've seen a few videos of many Lightnings and Mach-Es sitting on dealer lots for extended periods. Maybe Ford is being _creative_ with their sales figures?
Here where i live in Smalley there is a big Solar farm Plan to be built 320 acres
It’s called ‘near-shoring’ when they manufacture in Mexico. The Gordie Howe bridge is being completed in Windsor ON for Q4 2025, means near-shoring can take place once again in Canada, after GM had their plants torn down after their bankruptcy years ago. The previous bridge was built in the 1920’s.
There are also two very large distilleries in Windsor, ON.
Yes Monterey is going to boom. Mexico will become very rich 🤑
I was shocked when I saw a BYD building in Middlesbrough... 😮
We should all have the right to personal choice and I won't be dictated to on how I get around by hypocrites that fly where they want when they want and then try and tell the rest of us we can't. I am staying analogue. I do not want or desire an Ipad on wheels thank you very much that will only be worth half its purchase price within 12 months.
One of the problems of EV adoption is the fact that the cars and especially the batteries are evolving so quickly that todays cars are out of date so quickly, people will wait until the technology stabilises.
I love this show. I tried to be global and you guys are global and honest. You're not promoting Tesla. You're not promoting Hyundai, you just promote everybody. That's why I love the show the Highlander p. S skyness is always free.😊

When I lived in Sydney for a few months, I made the blue shirt mistake too.
I took my 4yo kid to the show in Sydney and it was a great day out. Looking forward to what’s in store next year. And good to see MG is continuing on the up and up shipping more new affordable (and also not so affordable) EV stock.
ha ha ha. I really like this guy. Rants show passion. And as an Australian, yes you Blightiers are always amazed when the laundry dries in 15 minutes.
Hi great video as always. As a newly retiree I am able to spend more time in places I love. At the moment Italy for six weeks. I have family in Italy, 19 cousins live here. Italy have the poorest (awful at times) air quality in Europe. We have experienced 2 full days of very poor air quality. I was socked. The days had a constant smog that was not blown away by the wind, only rain filtered it. Then what contaminated water?
I drive electric, Italy have in the main a good spread of chargers, we have not had any issues of a low charge. Whilst areas of Italy are trying to promote electric cars, to park in cities is free, you able to drive in restricted areas (you may have to register). But very few, sorry did I say very, very few fully electric cars are on the road. We have seen mainly Tesla’s, though less than ten in the 3 weeks we have been here. I drive a IONIQ 5, I’m sure I’m the only one here.
Heat pumps though have grown exponentially within the last year bringing them to seventh in the European area, including Scandinavian countries. The motivation is the installation cost is covered to 110%, yes 110%! The extra 10% is taken off their tax payments for the 3 years after installation.
Have a look at a weather app on air quality, there will be times all of Italy have very poor air. I was shocked the first time I saw this.
Could Italy be a prime venue for an everything electric show?
In Vancouver, we were in day 3. And even though we were early. All the test drives were booked. I hope I get to try an EV next time.
Nice!
How did Total get an oil and gas advert into this 🤔
Thanks for the entertaining video. Subscribed now.
I live in the Canary Islands. I had a 4kw PV system installed in November.
We produced so much excess energy in the first 3 months, It made sense to trade in our 2 year old petrol car for a new Citroen EV.
So far this month our fuel cost is ZERO, saving us around 150€.
It is still early days for the technology but it is good to be part ofbthe future, rather than living in the past.

Talking of locations, seeing as you've got a London show this year, why is the "South" show still in Farnborough (basically still London as far as the rest of the UK is concerned)? Why not somewhere further West?
We are talking about it, the team that runs the shows is very small and already stretched to the limit so it's not easy, but we'd love to do a west of England show.
